Chapter 410: The Rescue of the Molten Man?
Chapter 410: The Rescue of the Molten Man?
The battle between the Holy Sword and the Elementals continued. After Captain Britain intervened, another member of the team, the Fairy Princess, transformed herself into a sentient water elemental and began vying for control of the water with the Water People, causing the battle to become extremely intense. Meanwhile, the students who arrived in Naples could directly enjoy the battle between native European superheroes and supervillains.
If the British are considered part of Europe.
Spider-Man, while keeping an eye on the battle, arrived at the Wild Crew's temporary base as planned, donned his prepared speedsuit, and took it off. He'd dealt with Molten Man last time; this time, he'd take on Cyclone.
As Peter was putting on his gear, his spider senses suddenly went off. He looked around, took off his speedsuit, and went outside, where he found Sylvia resting and drinking coffee.
"What's wrong? Ready to attack?"
"No, quite the opposite. There's something wrong with your ship. The Molten People might be having some problems."
Spider-Man's words alerted Sylvia, who immediately led him to the room where the Molten Man was being held, while simultaneously calling for alerts from the entire Wild Band and notifying Silk and Black Cat.
Then, she looked at Spider-Man.
"Thank you for your trust, but actually, it's a bit too much."
“I don’t trust you, Spider-Man. Anyway, even if nothing happens in the end, it’s just a lot of work for everyone. The important thing is to make sure the criminal is safe.”
At this very moment, the Molten Man, imprisoned in the jail, is contemplating life. The enchanted cage keeps his spirit in a semi-transparent, visible state. Every day, members of the Wild Chapter come to ask him for all sorts of information, but he refuses to reveal any of it.
Now Sylvia knew why the Molten Man had stopped talking; he and the mastermind must have some kind of tacit agreement to ensure her safe rescue. With this in mind, Sylvia raised her guard to its highest level.
Meanwhile, Felicia, who was on her way to the cabin where the cage was located, suddenly heard a very bad sound coming from the side of the ship. She immediately jumped back to avoid it and saw the cabin wall being punched through and torn open. Then a muscular man wearing a blue and black bodysuit walked in. Felicia stared at the other people who followed him in and unexpectedly spotted a familiar face.
Rattlesnake.
"Viper Security Company? I thought you guys were doing legitimate security business!"
Felicia slid past from the side as she spoke. She couldn't be sure she could defeat these guys, so her priority was to slip away and tell Spider-Man that the attackers were the Viper Gang.
Of course, it goes without saying that at the same time, a large number of modified humans from the Viper Gang had entered the cabin from various corners of the ship using their own methods, and Sylvia quickly received the notification and intelligence.
But something even more troublesome was yet to come. Accompanied by a cloud of green smoke, a group of people appeared before Sylvia and Peter. Peter was quite surprised to see who it was, but then he thought it made perfect sense: "Mrs. Viper, I didn't expect you to be involved here."
"Long time no see, Spider-Man. Our company has closed a deal... After all, to deal with a security company with such formidable combat capabilities, we need to find another group of security companies." Madam Viper smiled. "I'm sorry, but many people are eyeing the Super Soldier project, aren't you well aware of that?"
Even now, Viper has no intention of publicly acknowledging its role as Hydra's front man, even though the last Super Soldier Serum incident essentially confirmed their involvement in illegal human experimentation. But that's ultimately the Pentagon's job; as long as they operate under the guise of the US government, they can maintain a facade.
This time will probably be the same.
"So this is just Americans fighting amongst themselves?" Sylvia added after listening, pointing her gun at the woman in front of her and the seven or eight strangely shaped cyborgs behind her: "Hopefully Nick Fury will compensate us for the cost of repairing this ship."
"Viper Gang, rescue our 'client'!"
Madam Viper slammed her whip into the ground, and then a group of Viper Gang members rushed forward. Only some Wild Band soldiers and Spider-Man were on the defensive. Peter charged forward first, facing an old adversary: "Oh, hey, I remember you, your name is... I've forgotten too."
Seeing the woman with metal blades attached to her hands, Peter used a web to stick to her face, then grabbed her and slammed her down on another Viper Gang member. Then, a Viper Gang member he had never seen before rushed up. He began to enlarge himself like Ant-Man, growing his body from nearly two meters to about three meters, and then punched Peter.
Peter leaped backward, using his spider silk to stick to his opponent's body. The opponent slammed his fist into the floor, leaving a fist-shaped mark on the steel hull, while simultaneously releasing corrosive gas around his body.
"Come face me, Spider-Man! I am the Giant Viper!"
"What? Sorry, I didn't hear you clearly!" Bioelectricity, along with the spider silk stuck to the bloated giant viper, released a large amount of current, knocking him unconscious: "Your microphone is too overheated. Next time, get one with a better current effect, buddy."
"Stop her from releasing the molten man!"
Sylvia made a quick decision, speaking as she walked toward Lady Viper who was going to release the Molten Man. Lady Viper was carrying a metal box, which was obviously filled with liquid metal used to reshape the Molten Man's body.
We absolutely cannot let her succeed; the threat posed by the Molten Ones is far greater than all these cyborgs combined. However, a member of the Viper Gang, who had transformed his legs into snake tails, coiled around Sylvia in a serpentine manner.
"Hey girl, what are you planning to—Aaaaaaaah!"
The Wild Chapter's armor released a high-intensity electric current, paralyzing the snake to the ground. Sylvia looked at Viper Lady without any politeness: "Madam, I suggest you stop immediately, otherwise you will not get anything you want."
"is it?"
Lady Viper turned to look at Sylvia with great interest, green magical energy appearing in her hand: "But what can you do to stop me, little girl?"
Sylvia raised her gun, aimed it at Lady Viper, and pulled the trigger.
The gun didn't fire, but the Molten Man's cage emitted a dazzling light. Then, the Molten Man let out a wail. Lady Viper looked at Sylvia in surprise, but her hand didn't stop. She placed it directly on the cage door and opened it.
Sylvia was faster; the radiance had already completely obliterated the molten man's spirit.
"You're more decisive than I thought, little girl."
Lady Viper withdrew her hand, which was severely burned, and smiled: "I'll remember you."
