Chapter 395 The Elementals Attack

"I'd like to ask, how long have the Wild Chapter and the Elementals been fighting?"

As Peter pretended to put on a white lab coat over his suit, he asked Sylvia, who was standing to the side watching Spider-Man put the samples the Wild Bunch had found into the equipment, "It's been almost five months, how is it?"

Five months, that's when the Elementals appeared last October. What was I doing in October? It seems like I just finished fighting the Mysterious Guest, Scorpion, and Rhino?
It feels like just yesterday.

"So, the Wild Chapter has been fighting them all along and has found a way to deal with them, right?"

As Peter asked questions, he first looked at a magnified image of the sand from the Sandman on the computer screen. From this image, the sand appeared unremarkable, with no apparent physical or chemical connection between the grains. Peter then found the bullets the Wild Horde used against the Sandmen, and after careful study, discovered the working principle behind them.

"High-frequency vibration?"

Sylvia was surprised that Spider-Man could actually figure out the principles behind these things. She nodded and said, "That's right. This is the most effective way we can attack Sandman and Waterman right now. Continuously firing bullets with a constant vibration effect at them can effectively disrupt their control over sand or water."

"So theoretically, as long as we can create a sufficiently large shock field, we can eliminate the opponent, right? Haven't you tried it?"

“We tried, and once again we thought we had completely destroyed the Water Elemental, but we failed…” Sylvia sighed helplessly. “Once again we completely trapped the Water Elemental in a body of water and bombarded it with high-frequency vibrations for an hour, but it turned out that it was still alive. The moment our equipment stopped, the Water Elemental reappeared.”

The Wild Chapter just wanted to stop the machine to see the effect, but in that short time, it was enough for the Water Elemental to unleash a full-scale wave surge and then escape from somewhere unknown.

Although the Wild Chapter had been fighting the Elementals for five months and had almost always managed to severely injure them, they themselves still didn't understand the limits of the Elementals' abilities, how much disaster they could cause, or how extreme their existence was. Could they possibly survive and regenerate indefinitely with just a grain of sand, a drop of water, or even a tiny bit of air?

Peter held the bullet in his hand, then looked at the "everything is normal" data on the computer screen regarding the Sandman, Waterman, and Molten Man samples. He pondered for a moment, then suddenly asked Sylvia a question: "If the Elementals are always able to find out about the lab, whether it contains what they need, and its layout, does that mean they also know I'm here?"

“Yes…” Sylvia started to say, then realized, “You lured them here?”

“They’ve already sent Sandmen to stop me twice on the road, so of course they’ll try a third time. And it’s not just you who know their capabilities; they know you inside and out too. So, if they find an opportunity, an opportunity to ambush you, they’ll definitely send men to try.”

Sylvia paused for a moment, then immediately gritted her teeth.

"You should have told me sooner, so I would have had time to prepare."

“If you had prepared earlier, they might have realized that the Wild Chapter had made special preparations, and they obviously have intelligence methods to find out what’s going on. So the best defense is to keep them from knowing what we’re thinking—that is, not to give them advance notice.”

This little bastard is a carbon copy of Nick Fury! Are all Americans like this?

Sylvia gritted her teeth and walked outside, while Peter glanced at his phone. He left a text message for Cindy and Felicia using a pre-set code word. It looked like a normal chat, but the two of them should have left shortly after Peter.

If the Elementals had chosen to attack the research facility now, Cindy and Felicia should have been able to see them from afar. And indeed, they did.

"That's truly... spectacular."

Felicia, now dressed in her black cat-themed suit, used the telescopic function of her goggles to observe the unnatural spectacle unfolding outside the Royal Institute of Madrid: countless tornadoes reaching into the sky were hurtling towards the institute from all directions, with burning fire tornadoes and churning water tornadoes creating a breathtaking spectacle, and the swirling sandstorm that blanketed the entire sky turning the already intensely hot night sky yellow.

Both of their combat suits were fitted with force field generators, protective equipment provided by the Wild Chapter to their combat suits. As long as these generators remained intact, the tiny particles could not get close, thus preventing them from being controlled by the Elementals.

Cindy was simply keeping a close eye on Peter's condition. Although the Elementals were coming on strong, Spider-Man's physical condition hadn't changed much, so she stood reassured in the back seat of the jeep, waiting for Felicia to drive into the battlefield.

As for Peter, he was walking outside, facing Sylvia's wrath.

"Do you know how many people are here? How many scientists and materials haven't been moved yet? Not to mention we're not ready for battle."

"Shouldn't you have thought of this sooner?"

"I……"

Sylvia was speechless for a moment. Indeed, she should have considered this after Spider-Man encountered two attacks from the enemy. However, Sylvia instinctively thought that Spider-Man and his crew were only there to help her with her mission, so she hadn't thought of this point.

Wait, does this mean that, on the Elementals' side, capturing or dealing with Spider-Man is a higher priority than their long-standing robbery operations?

The two walked out of the laboratory together and saw the sky filled with red light. Sylvia looked at Spider-Man, realizing that without prior precautions, the Wild Band might really suffer heavy casualties this time.

“My friend’s father had a problem last time, but I could have solved it with just a little magic. So I decided to study magic properly during this time.”

Sylvia looked at Spider-Man in disbelief: "You're planning to use magic against them? Invite them to a show?"

“Not one thing.” Peter said, then took a deep breath, made a complex gesture, and waved his hands while muttering incantations.

"The Wind of Vatum!"

A whirlwind that seemed to rise from nowhere extinguished all the surrounding tornadoes, and the yellow glow that filled the sky vanished in an instant. From that natural wonder, four pure elemental humanoids gradually coalesced and gathered together from the receding storm.
