Chapter 383 Norman, the Good Father
Chapter 383 Norman, the Good Father
"Now we know that the root of everything lies with Norman Osborn's psychiatrist and the terrifying artificial intelligence that he trained by his own evil and perverted psychiatrist!"
The screens of all sizes on the streets of New York have returned to normal, and at this moment, almost all news channels are reporting on the major events of the past two days—naturally, about the damned Goblin King and the city's short-term network anomaly.
And Jonah Jameson's undeniable slander and outbursts against Spider-Man.
"And in the process, Spider-Man completely makes people feel unsafe!" Jonah angrily denounced Spider-Man's actions without any basis: "I personally witnessed Spider-Man arresting those so-called supervillains when they posed no threat whatsoever! This damn reptile has absolutely no respect for human rights; this is a violation of the human rights of those supervillains!"
"Human rights? Seriously? If I hadn't defused the bombs on them beforehand, you might have been blown up, okay, Jonah?"
On the last day of the Christmas holidays, Peter was speeding through the skies of Manhattan carrying two boxes of pizza. He was on his way to visit Harry and Norman at the Osborns' house. Although Gwen had secretly visited the Osborns' house once before, Peter still didn't know the way.
Oh right, for a long stretch of the road, because it was in the suburbs of the upper city, Venom was still recovering, and Peter had blown up the Iron Spider suit again (probably the third time), so Peter hitched a ride on the road—sitting directly on the roof of the car.
A few minutes later, he had changed his clothes and arrived at Norman's door. After ringing the doorbell, the door opened automatically, and a voice Peter had never heard before came out.
Hello, Peter Parker.
"Oh, uh, hello. May I ask who you are...?"
[I am Emily, Osborn Technologies' new AI central system.]
Peter wasn't sure if Norman was truly forgetful or if the new system had been deemed safe. But considering the Avengers were still grappling with Ultron's fate, Peter felt he wasn't in a position to criticize Norman, so he simply nodded and went inside with the pizza.
Before even entering the room, Peter witnessed a truly astonishing sight: the Osborn father and son were playing a console game in front of the large TV in the living room. However, they weren't playing any mainstream game consoles, nor were they using game controllers; instead, they were using a flying skateboard. Harry was standing on the flying skateboard, constantly twisting his body to avoid obstacles appearing on the screen.
Peter pushed open the door.
"Pizza time! You two!"
Whether it was because he was startled by Peter or not, Harry fell off the skateboard, but regardless of whether it was Peter's fault or not, he had to blame Peter: "Peter, if you hadn't startled me, I could have flown for much longer."
"Sorry, sorry, would you like some pizza? It'll get cold if you don't."
"You guys eat first, lads, I'll give it a go." Norman smiled as he stepped onto his flying skateboard and began his performance. Peter opened a pizza and handed Harry a box, the two watching as Norman skillfully maneuvered the flying skateboard. Peter ate while quietly asking, "What's up with your new AI?"
“My dad reconstructed it using my mom’s information. He didn’t scan the human brain, so it’s safer,” Harry muttered to himself as he ate. “At first, I was a little uncomfortable with it, but then I felt… he might actually need these things.”
Norman Osborn defeated the Green Goblin, but no one can say for sure whether the Green Goblin personality was completely eradicated or whether Norman simply took control of his body and the Green Goblin would never reappear.
However, at least Norman Osborn is much more amiable than before. Despite the news reports of Osborn Technologies' stock plummeting, Norman seems completely unfazed. He played a game, scoring even lower than Harry, and then sat down to eat pizza with him, asking, "Are you going to Europe after the next semester starts, Peter?"
"Yes, it's a European trip recommended by the school, in February."
Peter nodded as he ate his pizza. It was supposedly a European cultural tour, which was booked through the educational travel agency "Global Education." Students would spend a month traveling from Spain to Italy, then Greece, then Hungary, Austria, Germany, then France, and finally England, where the tour would end and everyone would fly back home.
He was quite looking forward to it, mainly to London, to be able to visit Baker Street.
It means New York will be without Spider-Man for a month.
"Go ahead, Spider-Man! I believe the Avengers can protect New York."
For some reason, Peter felt a little uneasy seeing Norman's smile, but he wasn't worried about whether the Avengers could protect New York.
But for some reason, he always felt that something was about to happen.

"Hello, Mr. Bentley Whitman, we have found that you have an artificial implant in your brain."
Before being swiftly sentenced by the court and sent from the NYPD detention center to Raft Prison, the tech wizard who had been defeated by Peter was being examined by the Ultron robot. Looking at the Ultron robot, which was slightly different from what he had imagined, the tech wizard narrowed his eyes and simply answered the question honestly.
"That's the brainwave device I use to control the gravity disk, or the equipment I use to maintain my daily life. I have ALS."
"Muscle-related scans have been completed, confirming the extent of atrophy and the possibility of removal. We will retain the device in your brain, but your movements will be restricted within the Raft Prison."
As the three Ultron robots spoke, they escorted the tech wizard into the armored transport vehicle. Through the small window of the transport vehicle, the tech wizard saw the large screen outside. Although he couldn't hear any specific sounds, he still saw the chart showing the sharp drop in Osborn Technologies' stock price.
He couldn't help but let out a cold laugh.
It seems that Norman is already burying himself in an abyss without even lifting a finger, but in the end, someone will have to give him a push.
The Raft Prison, a place I should have visited long ago, is now only just arriving. What a long and roundabout journey!
The tech wizard glanced at the Ultron robot beside him and remained silent.
Six more months, Norman, enjoy your wonderful life.
The tech wizard—no, Otto Octavia, who had transferred his consciousness into the cloned body of a young man in his twenties—sneered.
