Chapter 340 The Wrath of the Demon

The battle continues in the wasteland of the post-apocalyptic world.

"An alien army, symbiotes, and now it's demons again!"

As a pacifist, Hank Pym generally doesn't kill, or rather, dislikes any form of violence, but sometimes he has to admit that there are always some people in this universe who like to communicate through violence.

They won't reason with you until you stop them with violence.

But Hank Pym didn't like it.

“To be honest, I’m a little tired, Janet. Sometimes I think about leaving the Avengers and focusing on my research.”

Hank sighed helplessly as his lover flew to his side, and at the same time stomped to death a demonized ice man. Little Hornet, on the contrary, seemed very excited: "Why, Hank? We're protecting everyone."

Perhaps one day in the future, with more and more superheroes, the world will no longer need Ant-Man, let alone Ultron.

Hank sighed helplessly and continued fighting. The battle on the ground continued. After Logan killed a demon with a claw, a demon Colossus pounced on him from behind, but was pierced by another pair of steel claws.

Logan looked over, never imagining he would see himself so old, or rather, never imagining he would grow old.

"So, you are from the future..."

"It's best not to ask anything, kid."

Logan actually knew what had happened in the wasteland, but he nodded to indicate that he understood. Then he saw Laura Ginny, dressed in a black Wolverine suit, rush into the crowd and wreak havoc alongside Hulk, seemingly engrossed in the action. Logan couldn't help but ask Old Man, "Has she always been like this?"

“I don’t know, your Peter Parker brought her from a world where everyone was killed by Wade Wilson. But as far as I can remember, not exactly, she was younger than my Laura when she died.”

Logan shrugged; he never imagined things would turn out so... bizarrely.

In a way, what is happening here is a secret war, one that no one on Earth 616 is aware of. Heroes are here to stop the invasion of a dangerous enemy, but no one will know about this great battle.

In a way, the root of all this is that Iliana is just an ordinary person who uses the most basic black magic to enchant weapons and then wields a two-handed sword to kill one demon after another.

Colossus stood guard by his sister's side in disbelief. The image of her as a demon was still vivid in his mind, making it hard for him to believe. Now, although Iliana had returned to her human form, the fact that she had suddenly grown several years older was still difficult for him to accept.

"Watch out, little snowflakes!"

Colossus punched a demon who was trying to get close to his sister, but she nearly hit him with her sword.

"I can handle this, don't worry about me."

“You don’t have superpowers, Iliana. You’re just a kid with a sword.”

Iliana turned around with a cold face and severed one of her own brother's demon variants with a single sword strike.

"I've been fighting these bastards for three years now, okay? I know these monsters better than you, bro."

My sister is swearing...

A distraught Peter Rasputin punched a demonic Wolverine, smashing its head open in frustration. "Alright, kids, first, make sure you're safe."

Storm stood guard around the two young mutant teams, ensuring their safety while allowing them to participate in the battle, but after she counted the heads, she discovered that one person was missing.

Where did Phantom Cat go?
Katie remembered Strange's words: what Velasco really needed was that amulet, the key to summoning some monster to Earth. Once he got the amulet, the other side would have failed.

Who else could steal from that guy better than Phantom Cat?

In the midst of the chaos, Katie charged toward Velasco, who was using magic to fight Thor, who was wielding three hammers. The two fought fiercely, and Katie found the amulet hanging from Velasco's chest and was about to reach for it.

She was bumped into.

This was the first time she had been impacted while in a phantom state. Swaying and almost falling, Katie didn't realize what was happening. Then she looked at the thing that had hit her. It was a Phantom Cat variant with truly cat-like features, looking extremely ugly. It was one of the few survivors brought over by Spider-Man.

Why did she push herself aside to get the amulet? Aren't they the same?
Katie soon found out the answer.

Velasco, who was fighting Thor, did not notice someone approaching. When a cat's paw reached out from his chest and then removed the amulet hanging from his chest, Velasco seemed to understand something.

Then, his anger was unleashed.

The boundless hellfire almost instantly engulfed the entire battlefield. The dejected Strange instinctively raised his shield to block the hellfire. Strange immediately reinforced the shield, while Thor swung his hammer to form a shield that blocked the hellfire.

When the hellfire dissipated, all that remained on the ground was a charred corpse and a shattered Thor's hammer.

"Foolish mortal, do you really think I can't handle your little tricks?" Velasco's outburst of anger finally made him stand up for himself. He used the power of the Hell's Frontier to crush Thor's hammer, which belonged neither to Earth 616 nor to this wasteland world, and then nonchalantly reached out to pick up the amulet that had fallen to the ground.

Golden light appeared before him.

A portal appeared from above, and a crimson demon nearly 1.9 meters tall wielded a longsword, slashing towards Velasco's head. Velasco was surprised by Iliana's sudden appearance in front of him, but as expected, the sword melted when it touched his neck.

Velasco saw the demon's tail hook up the amulet on the ground and then grasp it in his hand.

"You really don't know when to stop, Iliana."

He stood up and looked at the mysterious figure before him, then said helplessly, "You've already given up half of your soul. Now you either tear your soul in half again, or the Bloodstone won't return to your soul..."

"I haven't learned much magic, Velasco."

To be precise, Iliana hadn't learned many spells at all.

"But I can do this too!"

She still held the hilt of the longsword in her hand, and she chose to use her own soul as the material for casting the spell, to reshape, or rather, enchant, a sword.

Velasco then laughed.

"You really are... surprising people time and time again."
