I'm working on Marvel's Spider-Man in American comics.
Chapter 246 What?! It's Spider-Man!
Chapter 246 What?! It's Spider-Man!
If Spider-Man were still Peter Parker, then without a doubt he would be living at 20 Ingram Street, Forest Neighborhood, Queens. After Gwen hid Venom, she took the subway all the way back, glancing at her house in the process—it looked like it had been abandoned for a long time.
Out of curiosity, she went to her own house before going to Parker's house, only to find that the key had changed. Fortunately, Venom's liquid ability allowed her to pick locks easily, so she went inside.
Then she discovered that Parker's neighbors weren't Stacy's anymore. Aside from the room layout, there was nothing about where she or her father had ever lived. After searching carefully twice, she quickly slipped out when no one was looking.
Then she learned her lesson and used the spider-like abilities granted by Venom to sneak up to the second floor of Parker's house. It looked very different. She slipped in through Peter's room window and found it had become a storage room, almost entirely filled with boxes and crates.
"Well, at least this is still Parker's house."
Gwen sighed as she found Peter's old toys, but the question remained: where was Peter Parker?
The house is currently empty.
Hmm? Really?
Gwen tiptoed down to the first floor. The layout was unchanged. There were photos of the Parker family on the wall, some of which Gwen had never seen before. There were photos of Uncle Ben and Aunt May looking much older, but they were smiling happily.
Gwen placed her hand in front of the photos and scanned them one by one.
There are also photos of Peter, not only the Peter she remembers as he is now, but also Peter as he grew up, as well as photos of herself and Peter together...
Her hand stopped, because the photo of her and Peter was not an ordinary picture, but their wedding photo.
“I…uh…oh, this is a parallel universe, right? Gwen, relax…it’s just a parallel universe.”
Gwen took a deep breath and took two steps back.
"So, in this world, Peter and I got married after we grew up... and then, uh... they must have moved away? Uncle Ben and Aunt May still live here, but they don't live here anymore, right?"
Venom didn't speak, but just watched quietly as Gwen finished her performance, escaped from Parker's house, and started swinging on her webs before asking her questions.
Do you like Peter?
Gwen, who almost crashed into the wall, quickly switched to another spider silk and swung around before she came to her senses.
"Me? I...I don't know."
“We’re pretty good friends. We’ve known each other since we were kids, and we’ve been neighbors since his parents passed away. We know each other quite well… If you asked me to go on a date with Peter, I might say, ‘I don’t dislike him.’”
Gwen drifted aimlessly through Manhattan, her thoughts somewhat muddled. But then, the spider-sense triggered by Venom activated, and Gwen quickly dodged away.
"Wow, miss, I had no idea you were so skilled."
A slightly more mature but still familiar voice came from beside her. The man beside her was clearly a more mature and older Spider-Man. He tried to stop Gwen while saying, "Sorry, miss, but symbiotes are not fun."
"What? I'm not—" Just a few seconds later, Gwen realized what had happened, quickly landed on the wall, and waved her hand: "Hey, I'm not a bad guy!"
"Hmm...maybe, but you certainly don't know what you've stuck with, miss."
Spider-Man landed beside her. Gwen was momentarily speechless, but quickly understood what to do. She pulled down the symbiote suit's mask as she spoke.
"Okay, but you won't believe that."
Gwen removed her mask and looked at the bewildered adult Spider-Man in front of her.
"I am Gwen Stacy from another world."
When Cindy Muen woke up, she couldn't believe what had happened to her. She had grown taller, or rather, grown up?
No, that's not right. It seems like I had a dream, a dream about when I was still in high school.
She got out of bed. She was now living alone in her New York apartment. A photo of herself and Peter still hung on the wall.
She made herself a simple breakfast when the doorbell rang. When she opened the door, Peter was there, carrying a drink.
"Good morning, Cindy, want to have breakfast together?"
He's right here; I can sense it.
This was something Cindy Moon could sense for only a moment, but she quickly realized what was happening and questioned Peter Parker sharply.
Where is he?!
"Hey, honey, what's wrong? What happened?!"
Where is he?!
Cindy threw a punch filled with rage, but missed completely. She transformed back into a high school student and found herself in a beautiful field with plants she had never seen before. The rising sun hung in the sky, illuminating everything in the world.
Cindy looked around in confusion. She could sense Peter was not far away, but she couldn't see him. She looked around and saw a golden figure lying unconscious on the ground.
It's that alien named Adam.
Cindy seemed to have grabbed something; she ran over and helped Adam up. Adam appeared to be somewhat conscious, but he was very weak.
"You...you're awake?"
Adam looked at Cindy with some surprise, while Cindy, in silence, asked him in return, "What happened? Where is this?"
"This is inside the Soul Gem. Inside the Soul Gem is a pocket universe that can hold life."
Adam explained what had happened: "Kang tried to destroy Kovac, but he failed. A powerful force leaked out, a force that could easily kill us all, so I urgently used the power of the Soul Stone to teleport everyone in."
"Moreover, this is an opportunity to help Kovac complete his personality. The Soul Stone can see into people's hearts and desires, and build the most beautiful world you can imagine. I hope that Kovac can use these worlds to perfect his personality. I didn't expect you to wake up so quickly."
The world my heart...longs for...
So, was the world I just saw just a figment of my imagination?
Feeling a little regretful for having shattered that world, Cindy blushed and pulled her face mask up a bit before asking Adam a question.
"So what should we do next?"
“I need to maintain this world here, and you have to do me a favor—Conqueror Kang, whom I also brought in, you must stop him from finding Kovac and causing secondary destruction.”
Cindy sensed Peter Parker's location and then nodded.
She was going to find Peter.
