Chapter 211 Symbiote Frenzy: The Darkest Night

Chapter 211 Symbiote Frenzy - The Darkest Night

On October 31, 2012, the last Wednesday of October, people in New York could see S.H.I.E.L.D.'s airship suddenly appear in mid-air off the coastline, then quickly burst into flames and exploded, but was blown to pieces in mid-air, and then the falling debris suddenly disappeared.

Then, the wreckage fell haphazardly onto the port where Spider-Man had fought the enemy, bursting into flames. Nar remained unharmed amidst the inferno; he simply walked through the flames until they died down. However, even in the extinguished flames, the intense heat still made it difficult for new symbiotes to form.

"That mage is quite clever," Nar thought. In an instant, the mage teleported everyone except for the Hulk, whom he had corrupted, including the Human Torch, whom he had choked unconscious, to a place he couldn't perceive for the time being. The warship's commander was also decisive enough to think of self-destructing to delay Nar.

But that doesn't matter.

Nar stretched out his hand, feeling the codex left behind by the living abyss flowing within his body. Unfortunately, Devouring, Extremism, and Lash left no codex, and they were all dead. The only codex that awakened Nar was Riot, and that was why...

"So rise again, my child."

Beneath the silver-gray metal, the dark gray living abyss was reborn with a shriek. Not only that, but just like when it merged with its host, it became a humanoid creature. Riot stared in surprise at itself, then looked at Nar standing to the side, and respectfully knelt down, lowering its head in submission.

"My master."

“No need to be anxious, my child. I don’t sense where the codex that killed you is, but believe me, it won’t hide for long.” As he spoke, Nar turned around, and the entire wreckage of the Aegis carrier was lifted up, turning into clumps of symbiotes screaming and howling in the intense heat. These symbiotes, which gradually died in the heat, eventually became the materials for Nar’s palace, collapsing to the ground and forming beams and pillars that created the pitch-black throne.

Gnar sat bored on the throne. The towering symbiote Hulk emerged from behind him, its tongue lolling out. But Gnar raised his hand; the surrounding temperature was still too high. If he went out like this, the symbiote on Hulk would definitely have problems.

Let's wait a few hours. In the meantime, the rioters who aren't afraid of the high temperatures will be the perfect pawns to act on.

As for Gnar himself, he chose to sit there as punishment. He looked outside, where a golden, transparent magical barrier covering the entire Manhattan Island isolated him from the outside world. If Gnar were in control of his own body, he could break this barrier with a single punch.

After a moment's thought, he handed the entire clump of symbiotes to Riot.

“I found some interesting things in your codex. Find the special beings in this world and tell me where they are. As long as I can create the codex within their bodies, I will no longer need those traitors. Even here, I can still create a unique army. Also, while I'm at it, find out if there is a way to break through this barrier.”

"As you wish, my lord."
-
S.H.I.E.L.D.'s emergency evacuation is underway. Several magic apprentices from Kamar-Taj have created openings on several bridges in Manhattan. Outside are S.H.I.E.L.D.'s emergency evacuation monitoring stations. Anyone evacuating must undergo blood tests to ensure that no one possessed by the symbiote leaves Manhattan.

NYPD officers had to work overtime and stay up all night to prepare for all of this.

"Emergency evacuation?!"

J. Jonah Jameson stared at the NYPD officers who had appeared before him, tasked with the evacuation, and asked, "You mean, you want me to leave New York right now?"

“Yes, Mr. Jameson. New York is under invasion by aliens, and on a large scale. We've been ordered to evacuate the citizens.” “Have Fox News, CNN, and other media outlets left?”

"They've all left, Mr. Jameson. Most of the media people have left."

"I do not go."

Jonah Jameson declared righteously, "I will not leave. Almost all the media in New York have already left New York, left Manhattan. What will happen to the remaining citizens? What will happen to the remaining ordinary people?"

“I’m staying, the Daily Bugle is staying, and everyone in Manhattan will know that Jonah Jameson is still here, until we get rid of this damn alien monster!”

Jonah Jameson refuses to leave Manhattan, which is now chaotic and noisy, but it seems like nothing is happening.

Aside from riots.

The riots were raging across Manhattan, and with no more annoying Spider-Man or Venom to interfere, he hurled a whole clump of symbiotes at innocent citizens who hadn't had time to evacuate or were still asleep. Anyone who came into contact with this stuff would immediately become a mindless symbiote monster controlled by Knull.

The symbiotes created by Nar are merely weapons with corrupting abilities. They no longer simply amplify the host's emotions, but completely transform the host into a brutal killing machine that obeys only Nar. Nar sat on his throne, quietly sensing the new army that the riots had brought him.

The increase in numbers was somewhat slow, but it didn't matter. Nar didn't care about these ordinary humans; he was more concerned about the so-called superheroes. Only by having symbiotes parasitize them and generate codes could his symbiote army gain all sorts of unique abilities, thus expanding his army. As for ordinary people, no matter how many there were, they were just cannon fodder. Cannon fodder was meaningless; S.H.I.E.L.D. could easily slaughter them with just a sonic gun.

But where are the heroes? Why are they not emerging now, when riots are raging?

And with so many superpowered people in New York, why haven't any of them shown up yet?

Inside the underground prison of Avengers Tower, Doctor Octopus noticed something amiss and questioned Ultron, the prison guard: "Why is the prison on alert?"

"An anomaly has been detected. Please remain calm; the Avengers are handling it..."

Doctor Octopus suddenly laughed, his electronic voice carrying a specific melody. Ultron suddenly malfunctioned, then walked over and helped Otto Octavia open the door.

His electronic vocal cords are not just capable of speaking.
