Chapter 191 Vulture Attack
Chapter 191 Vulture Attack
Norman Osborn works at the company, waking up at five in the morning and leaving at nine at night, which has become his daily routine. Unlike Tony Stark, a rich second-generation who can leave company affairs to Pepper Potts and not have to worry about anything, Osborn Technologies was built by Norman from scratch. Regardless of what others say, he has a passion for his company that surpasses even that for his own children.
Then his phone rang.
"Hey Peter? What's up?"
“To make a long story short, Mr. Osborn, an evil alien creature has possessed Adrian Tooms. This alien creature has the ability to amplify human emotions and desires to extremes and greatly enhances human beings—I’m afraid Adrian is looking for you. Please take refuge immediately.”
Adrian has been possessed by an alien creature? Is it related to the US military's symbiote program?
Having some understanding of what happened at the bottom of the Hudson River and knowing very well that Peter now possessed the symbiote suit, Osborn quickly grasped the whole story. However, he smiled nonchalantly: "You don't need to worry, Peter, I'm perfectly safe. My office..."
Norman, who had stood up and was smiling to comfort Peter, didn't finish his sentence. He vaguely saw a huge flying creature in the twilight heading towards his office in the Osborne Building. He saw the creature flap its wings and throw several green feathers at him, then his expression changed, and he instinctively ducked for cover, covering his head. The glass, which could withstand machine gun fire, was pierced through several times. Norman hung up the phone, still shaken, and then summoned his AI assistant.
"Green Goblin, get ready..."
The next moment, the reinforced glass was kicked shattered, and a symbiote-like monster flapping its wings shrieked as it looked at Norman Osborn, letting out a mocking laugh: "Die, Norman! Accept the punishment of the vultures!"
"High-frequency sound waves!"
Unbearably loud high-frequency sound waves immediately reverberated throughout the office. The symbiote on Adrian let out a painful, piercing howl, slamming him against the wall. Norman covered his ears, crouched low, and quietly ran out of the office. At that moment, he saw Adrian, who was flying around wildly inside, slightly freed from the symbiote's control by the sound waves, pleading with Norman.
"Help me... I can't get rid of this..."
Norman looked at Adrian's pained pleas, hesitated for two seconds, then gritted his teeth and walked out of the office. As soon as he stepped out, he activated the emergency procedure at the door, completely sealing off his office. The thick metal walls collapsed, sealing the entire space. Norman then dialed Osborn Technologies' dedicated security team.
"A serious accident has occurred. Yes, it's classified as a Level 1 mutation accident. Send combat personnel over immediately, and prepare more flamethrowers and sonic cannons."
Meanwhile, in Norman's office, Lash, who was even more powerful than Venom, clearly possessed stronger sonic resistance. In his agony, he unleashed feathers and whips, destroying all the speakers in the room, before regaining control of the body.
No, even better, he had a more complete grasp of this body. Although it brought some side effects, such as a deeper fusion of his memories with that old man's, everything was perfect overall.
Aside from a deeper hatred for that human named Norman Osborn, there were no problems.
Then let's just kill that human.
Then, Vulture spread his wings, and countless dark green symbiote feathers shot out, bombarding the metal wall like a relentless machine gun, blasting the entire wall apart. He rushed out of the room, sniffing Norman Osborn's scent, and chased him all the way to the elevator entrance. As an elevator arrived, the doors opened, and a whole elevator full of special forces soldiers aimed their weapons at Vulture, ready to fire. Then Vulture reached out and swung a long symbiote whip, piercing through the floor and severing the elevator cables. Before the soldiers could react, the entire elevator began to plummet rapidly.
But then, with a strange noise, the screeching sound of the elevator plummeting disappeared. Vulture, who had already turned to leave, turned back and saw Spider-Man in black jump out of the elevator shaft, still holding a piece of spider silk attached to the elevator.
"Long time no see, whip."
As Peter spoke, he narrowed his eyes and stared at the other man: "What, you think you can take me down just because you've grown wings?"
"Oh, long time no see, Venom—or Spider-Man, it's been about 24 hours."
The vulture cackled, then countered with a question: "Otherwise what? Can you fly?"
Peter certainly couldn't fly. In fact, his small talk with Vulture was just a way to buy time so the special forces soldiers could escape safely. Once he realized the weight of the elevator in his hand had stopped changing, Peter shrugged and asked, "Maybe I can't fly, but I'm enough to deal with you."
"You are so arrogant!"
The vulture spread its wings, constantly firing feathers. Peter used his spider-sense to nimbly dodge and quickly counterattacked. He stuck to the vulture's chest and pulled it towards him. Regardless of whether Lashman was stronger than Venom, Adrian was undoubtedly inferior to the SHIELD agent from yesterday in terms of physical ability. Therefore, in this battle, he actually had the advantage in strength.
Realizing this, Peter decided to close the distance between them, but perhaps because of his symbiosis with Adrian, his intelligence was also greatly enhanced. Indeed, he couldn't defeat Venom Spider-Man in terms of strength (how embarrassing), but he had wings created by the gravity generator!
With just a thought, the whip altered the gravity generated by the gravity emitter. Almost instantly, Peter found himself unable to hold onto the spider silk in his hands. The silk had become incredibly soft. He gripped the silk tightly, but the next moment, accompanied by the vulture's shrill laughter, Peter was lifted into the air. The vulture then smashed through the ceiling and soared into the sky.
"I only need to make one turn to throw you off this cliff, Spider-Man!"
“Yes, yes, I knew you could fly.” Peter nodded matter-of-factly. “So I asked a friend to introduce him to Johnny Storm.”
Before the words were even finished, a wave of scorching heat swept towards the vultures in the air.
"Here's Johnny!"
