Chapter 162 Spider Web Base
Officially named the "Emily Osborn Research Center," it's actually a secret base for Spider-Man and his professional support team. Of course, it's essentially disguised as a laboratory, and by the time Peter arrives, Harry and Amadeus have been waiting for quite some time.

"Hey guys, sorry I'm late."

A brand-new palm print and voiceprint recognition system was installed at the entrance of the laboratory. After Peter passed through it, he arrived at a laboratory with a distinctly Osborn feel. What does "distinctly Osborn feel" mean? Well... based on the last time Peter infiltrated Osborn Technology with Felicia, all the walls, ceiling, and floor of the laboratory were made of hexagonal white polymer, and the white light emanating from the gaps in these hexagons was what gave it that Osborn feel.

Putting everything else aside, it at least has a very cool, high-tech feel to it.

"This is the air pollution monitoring station. We can deploy drones to analyze the components of air pollution in New York. Over there is a water quality monitoring device and an algae analysis device."

Unlike the patent tyrant Norman, Harry's mother, Emily Lyman, was a scientist focused on ecology and environmental safety, and not just a scientist who pointed out problems, but a scientist who was responsible for solving them. During her lifetime, Osborn Technologies launched a considerable number of non-profit philanthropic research projects, but with her passing, the company shut down the vast majority of them, leaving only a small portion to appease certain groups and to enhance the company's image.

But judging from Harry's current behavior, he is clearly very familiar with all of his mother's research projects, and there is no doubt that he has always dreamed of being able to restart the projects his mother left behind.

Meanwhile, Amadeus was writing some kind of program on the computer to the side.

As he spoke, Harry seemed to realize something and scratched his head sheepishly: "I forgot, this laboratory is essentially you..."

"us."

“Oh, us.” After being amicably interrupted by Peter, Harry nodded. “Our secret base, like Batman’s Batcave, what should we call this?”

"What about spider webs?" Amadeus finally spoke: "Spiders live on their own webs."

"Um, I think we should forget about it."

Actually, it's a nice and fitting name, but the problem is that Peter, who has just experienced the baptism of the Spider Gods in the wasteland universe and felt as if he had suddenly switched from an ordinary American comic book movie to a webcomic movie with inflated combat power, really couldn't muster any interest in this topic.

The spider web is nice, but he doesn't like it.

Seeing that Peter had rejected the idea, the two of them looked at him and asked, "Can you come up with a new name?" Peter thought about it seriously for a moment, then realized that he couldn't think of any good names either—he was terrible at coming up with names too.

So in the end, they still used the name "Spider Web" to refer to their base.

"So, this is what a spider web truly looks like!"

As Harry spoke, he pressed a button. After a scan of Peter finished, the four walls began to disintegrate and retract, revealing hidden spaces behind them. The lighting also changed, transforming from the intense brightness of the white space to normal brightness.

The experimental tables were all folded up and moved underneath, and then the new equipment was raised. The most eye-catching feature was the seven cabinets at the back, each capable of holding a suit of armor—although, including the Venom on his body, Peter only had four suits in total.

Besides that, there are all sorts of high-tech equipment, such as 3D printers and scanners. In short, it's actually quite similar to the Avengers' lab.

And most importantly, this place belongs only to Peter.

"What do you think? Maybe we can design some brand new suits for you? Like powerful armor? Holographic camouflage? What do you think, Peter?" Peter hesitated for a moment. To be honest, since becoming symbiotic with Venom, he hadn't considered changing his suit. Because Venom himself was already incredibly versatile. For example, after assimilating one of Peter's upgraded suits, he could even simulate its various communication functions and connect to the Avengers' network—even Venom himself didn't know how he did it.

Moreover, symbiotes have the ability to mimic appearances. Although Venom is not good at this, he is adept at changing into clothes of various colors. If Peter wants, Venom can transform into the classic red and blue uniform.

However, the new uniform itself can also be used to test various equipment, so Peter thought it was possible to develop it first and then integrate it into Venom's body.

"We can also design and manufacture many props, such as drones and remote-controlled robots."

After Harry finished speaking, he looked at Peter and asked, "What do you want?"

"Um... I want a motorcycle. The kind that can go up walls?"

Harry was immediately confused: "What do you need that for?"

"You know, the enemy might be in Central Park or some other frontier area?"

Peter's experience in the wasteland universe proved that Spider-Man's mobility is reduced by half when he fights on flat ground, because most enemies fight in a two-dimensional space, but he can fight in three dimensions. If everything is on a flat surface, he will be at a disadvantage.

At the same time, the Spider car is too big. If it were a motorcycle, it could be used in both the wild and downtown New York City.

There is another very crucial point.

"Motorcycles are so cool."

Upon hearing this, Harry immediately nodded: "That makes sense."

Just then, there was a knock on the door. Peter glanced at it and saw that Norman Osborn was standing outside, followed by a scientist who looked vaguely familiar to Peter. As Peter went to open the door, he glanced at Harry, who had become silent and was looking down at the system.

It seemed the relationship between the father and son was as bad as ever. Peter thought to himself as he opened the door.

Norman stood outside the door, offering his usual concerned smile: "Peter, long time no see."

"Long time no see, Mr. Osborne."

"Thank you so much for saving Osborn Technologies' cargo today. It was an Osborn Technologies prototype, which was very important to us."

As Osborne spoke, he turned around to make room for the scientist next to him: "Oh, I forgot to introduce you. In order to provide you with better assistance, I have specially invited a trustworthy professional scientist."

"Let's get to know Dr. Jonathan Drew."
