Chapter 153 God War (Part 1)

An entire airship descended from the sky and crashed down on Anansi.

Did the Spider God die?

A violent crash echoed from the ruins, and then Anansi emerged unharmed, charging directly at Magneto. Magneto controlled the magnetic field around him, strengthening his physical body, so even with this swift and fierce attack, he remained unscathed.

The clouds in the sky completely dissipated because of this attack, and Magneto was unharmed. However, Anansi did not intend to kill Magneto with the impact. On the contrary, he grabbed Magneto's face.

Magneto saw himself saving Hammerfall, the terrifying alien falling to the ground with his charred body riddled with swords and blades—this was the consequence of challenging Magneto.

He saw his deceased children, Wanda and Pietro, and finally stopped remaining silent, revealing a smile.

“Wanda… Pietro…”

The old man stared blankly into the distance, and then the Spider God snapped his neck.

Magneto, who ruled over a quarter of the United States, died just like that.

“Okay, on the bright side, at least America is half safer.” Hawkeye’s voice came from beside Ashley. She was just about to ask her cowardly and useless father why he had come back when she saw a shocking scene. Hawkeye was back in his Avengers suit, but without that ridiculous mask, because his left eye had been replaced by a prosthetic eye, the same one that had been taken from Bullseye’s corpse a few hours earlier.

"What, you can't possibly let your old man go to war blind, can you? This is your stepfather's handiwork, and he's done it quite well." (PS: Ashley's stepfather is Ultron 8.)
Clint Barton smiled, hesitated for a moment, and then placed his hand on his daughter's head. To his surprise, his daughter didn't say anything this time.

"Take your mother and your stepfather away and protect them, Ashley."

"how about you?"

“Me?” Hawkeye drew his best bow, his back carrying three full quiver baskets. “Don’t worry about me, I’m an avenger.”

Ashley was silent for a few seconds, then turned and went home, while Hawkeye watched the thing slowly descending from the sky. Judging from the data displayed by the Necromancer's prosthetic eye, that thing was terrifyingly powerful, almost comparable to Thor.

"This is suicide," Hawkeye muttered.

"Alright, finally, we can talk."

Anansey landed in front of Peter, and Deadpool, yelling "Yay!", rushed over, only to be tossed aside by Anansey's web. Looking at Thor's hammer beside Peter, Deadpool couldn't help but laugh: "You want to try, right? But you can't lift it. Too bad."

In a mere instant, before either Venom or the Iron Man suit could react, Anansi rushed in front of Peter, violently ripped off the helmet of the Iron Spider suit, grabbed his chin, and his eyes gleamed with a blinding white light: "Let me see your story, hmm, a very ordinary Spider-Man story..."

"Let him go!" Hawkeye yelled as he fired an arrow at Anansi, who blocked it by grabbing a Captain America shield toy from a stall while enjoying the Peter Parker story.

"Very good, very exciting—you dare to lie to me?!"

The sudden attack sent Anansi flying backward, crashing through several buildings in Hammerfall. A shocked Hawkeye looked at Peter, who was holding a hammer that no one could lift. His body was crackling with lightning—Peter's own bioelectricity.

He raised Mjolnir, Thor's hammer, and roared, unleashing all his bioelectricity into the sky. The once cloudless sky began to feel oppressive due to the lightning descending from below, dark clouds began to gather, and then lightning large enough to cover Peter's entire body descended from the sky, pouring into his entire being. Even Venom, who originally had an inexplicable instinctive aversion to lightning, felt extremely comfortable.

A surge of immense power flowed into Peter's entire body, lightning gathered around him, and the Iron Spider's armor underwent a subtle change, seemingly transforming from rounded armor into something resembling a suit of armor. He simply removed the helmet from the armor.

Meanwhile, Anansi, who had been smashed into a house, wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth where he had been hit by a hammer, got up, and began to laugh loudly.

"Interesting! Interesting! A mortal actually attempts to deceive the God of Lies?"

Anansi laughed as she charged toward Peter: "You're the first mortal to do this!"

“Really? I thought a lot of people had boasted to you about their great achievements.” Peter swung Thor’s hammer and then hurled it heavily. Anansi easily dodged it and then saw the spider silk hooked behind Thor’s hammer.

Next came Peter, who was carried away by Thor's hammer, his fist covered in venom and swollen several times its original size.

"And all that stuff you braggarted about to them!"

A massive fist slammed into Anansi's face, sending him flying several kilometers away. Hawkeye's original eye and new prosthetic eye were both stunned. Then Peter activated his armor and flew towards where Anansi had landed.

Anansi flew straight out with no cover along the way, propelled by the immense force, until a mountain range caught him. From the point of impact, a huge crack appeared in the mountain, and then hundreds of meters above the point of impact shattered into boulders that began to tumble down.

Then, rapidly spinning dark clouds gathered, Peter raised Thor's hammer above his head, swung it around and around, and then made a motion to smash it down on Anansi. Then, thunderbolts fell from the sky, one after another striking the spot where Anansi was hit.

When the thunder subsided, Peter landed with Thor's hammer in hand. The area had been flattened by the shock and lightning, and Anansi, seemingly unharmed, clapped her hands and walked towards Peter.

“I have to say, you really surprise me. How long have you been a totem? Half a year? Or eight months? You are better at fighting than most other totems.”

"And coincidentally, I like dealing with people who only know how to fight."

Countless skyscrapers rose into the sky, and time seemed to rewind to Manhattan in 2012, the place where it all began. That day, the day Uncle Ben took Peter to the bank to deposit money, was an extraordinary day.
