Chapter 134 Eboshir

Chapter 134 Eboshir
Dozens of men charged and fought their way through the Whitebeard guards' defenses, quickly reaching the central furnace at the deepest part of the Black Steel Smelting Ground.

The Flame Guardian Eboshir stood beside the furnace, its bright, burning body radiating an astonishing heat that made everyone nearby feel the intense heat.

Level 7 Fire Element.

If he were free, he would undoubtedly be the most powerful creature in Dibusala. Unfortunately, two enormous shackles inscribed with complex runes render him almost immobile, rendering him useless except as fuel for the furnace.

Besides the Flame Guardian Eboshir, there were two last white-bearded guards beside the Central Forge.

"This is treason!" one of the white-bearded guards pointed angrily at Brown. "In the name of Durrag, you will be punished!"

“I stopped believing in that stuff a long time ago.” Brown proudly raised his fiery red beard. “We are children of fire. You can only merge into darkness, but we can illuminate the darkness!”

"Hmph!" the white-bearded guard sneered. "When Mayor Matolius returns, you will all become sacrifices!"

Brown suddenly said out of the blue, "Make your choice, darkness or fire."

The white-bearded guard was baffled.

Just as he was about to say something, a furious shout suddenly rang in his ears: "For Prometheus!"

But it was another white-bearded guard who attacked him.

Caught off guard, he was immediately cleaved in two by an axe, collapsing to the ground and staring in disbelief at his companion, uttering an angry yet weak voice: "You..."

His companion, however, looked at Brown instead of him: "I choose fire."

"The right choice!" Brown laughed heartily, stepped forward and hugged the other man. "From now on, we're brothers! We'll build a Redbeard town, and you'll never need to dye your beard again!"

Gaucano's aggressive approach to securing kills goes without saying.

While onlookers were still in shock, he had already drawn the Blood-Summoning Sword and plunged it into the throat of the seriously wounded guard.

Then he looked up at the Flame Guardian, Abohir.

Eboshir was also looking at him, a hint of curiosity showing in his eyes, which were made of ripples of flame.

Immediately, a voice, though not spoken, but understandable, emanated from within the massive fire elemental: "You are favored by both the wind and earth elements simultaneously."

Wind and earth are similar to water and fire. Generally speaking, once a person receives a blessing from one of them, it is difficult for them to receive a blessing from the other.

It is indeed very rare for Gaucano to possess the blessings of both wind and earth.

"But at least you don't have the foul smell of water elementals," Flame Guardian Eboshir said, changing the subject. "Never come into contact with water elementals; they're all a bunch of bad guys."

Brown then said, "Ryan, quickly unlock the elemental shackles on Abbothill."

“Of course!” Ryan said, taking out his thieving tools.

He has been practicing his lock-picking skills diligently lately.

In order to free Eboshir, he even consulted the Redbeard craftsman and practiced many times using locks with similar structures.

Nikon cast a spell on him, and then he stepped forward to unlock Eboshir.

But people soon realized a problem.

The shackles on Abbothill are too hot!

As a level seven fire elementalist, his body temperature is high enough to melt steel. Even though the elemental shackles have greatly restricted his heat, it is still far beyond what a flesh and blood body can withstand.

Fortunately, the solution is not complicated; just put a layer of Aegis Armor on Ryan.

With the Frost Armor covering him, Ryan could safely touch Ebersil's Elemental Shackles for at least a few minutes.

But the shortcomings are also obvious.

Lock picking is a delicate craft, and the presence of Frost Armor will inevitably hinder Ryan, making him feel dulled, much like wearing gloves.

In addition, the Armor of Egasis will make Eboshir feel uncomfortable.

When the melting frost dripped onto the Flame Guardian, it felt as if he had touched excrement; the flames on his body trembled and surged, like a human getting goosebumps.

He groaned, "What a disgusting spell! Can't you choose something else?" "Sorry, for us mortals whose bodies contain a mixture of four elements, the most effective way to resist fire is with water and ice," Ryan said as he tried to unlock the lock.

"How long will it take?" Brown asked.

Ryan frowned slightly: "Without the influence of the Armor of Agacys, a few minutes would have been enough, but now it's a bit hard to say, though I'm sure I can open it."

Brown nodded.

The crowd guarded Ryan as he unlocked the lock.

Some white-bearded men rushed over to try and stop them.

They were merely residents, not members of the guards, but as followers of Durrag, they could not stand idly by while the Prometheus Brotherhood acted.

The red-bearded residents were not idle either, and they also entered the venue one after another.

Before long, more and more red-bearded and white-bearded gray dwarves gathered around the central furnace, forming two major camps and confronting each other with swords drawn.

Those with firm beliefs stood in the middle, weapons in hand, while those with wavering beliefs protected their fellow citizens in front of them. Many gray dwarves watched and discussed from afar.

Of course, influenced by the overall atmosphere of confrontation, even the onlookers unconsciously split into two groups, with the red-bearded and white-bearded groups clearly distinguished.

The atmosphere grew increasingly tense.

However, the battle did not break out immediately.

The whitebeards shouted, "You're all dead when Mayor Matolius returns!"

The Redbeards shouted, "Once we release Ebonshire, you're finished!"

"Traitors, blasphemers!"

"Filthy slave owners!" they cursed at each other.

The gray dwarves gathered in ever-growing numbers.

The black steel melting field gradually filled up, with two groups of compatriots glaring at each other amidst the scorching furnace.

After a while, Mayor Matolius—or rather, the leader of the Whitebeards—returned and appeared at the Blacksteel Forge.

Groin, the leader of Redbeard, also appeared at the same time.

By this point, almost all the grey dwarves from Dibusara Town had arrived.

Matolius's voice was cold and stern: "Groin, you have betrayed my trust in you!"
He wore fingerless gloves and held a battle axe, pointing it at the red-bearded gray dwarf led by Groin.

Groin remained unfazed: "I've never felt your trust! There's no need to say more now. We have different beliefs and appearances; we are different races, and even different religions!"

“That’s right!” Matolius raised his battle axe high. “My whitebearded brethren, let’s destroy these traitors together!”

"Click." Just then, a soft sound was heard.

Ryan successfully unlocked one of the shackles of the Flame Guardian, Abohir.

Once one more shackle is removed, this level seven fire elemental will be completely free.

Whitebeard and his men clearly knew that Ebony was a formidable opponent, so Matolius roared without hesitation, "For Drag!"

The red-bearded men, led by Groin, refused to be outdone: "For fire and freedom—for Prometheus!"

"Kill!"

The battle is about to begin, and the shouts of battle are deafening!

Gaucano remained calm. He turned to the Flame Guardians, some of whom had regained their freedom, and asked, "Eboshir, could you lend me some flame?"

“Of course,” the fire elemental replied.

“Very good.” Then Gao Jiano spread his hands, and ten swift breezes instantly formed.
