Game of Thrones: I am Dothraki, not a barbarian
Chapter 121 Prophecy of Fate
Chapter 121 Prophecy of Fate
“My blood,” Lazar forced a smile, “you’ve come to see a useless cripple.”
Rahalo felt a sharp pain in his heart and placed his hand on Lazar's shoulder; he was burning up with fever.
"You'll never be useless. You'll stay by my side in the future, and together we'll unify the Grass Sea!"
Lazar's chest heaved violently, and tears seemed to glisten in his eyes. "A Dothraki without legs is not even worth a slave. There is no place for the crippled in Karasari."
The atmosphere grew heavy.
Everyone knows this harsh truth: the Dothraki people's lives, culture, and dignity are all inextricably linked to horseback riding; if they cannot ride horses, it is tantamount to a death sentence.
"Before an iron ingot can be transformed into a scimitar, it must be forged by iron and fire!"
Rahalo gritted his teeth, temporarily suppressing his hatred for Renly, and gripped Lazar's shoulder tightly, saying firmly,
"This is just a test from the Horse God! I believe you can get through this!"
Lazar turned his head to the side, not wanting Rahalo to see the fear and despair in his eyes.
He wasn't afraid of death, but he was afraid of becoming a man who could never ride a horse again.
“Look at me, Lazar,” Rahalo raised his voice, emphasizing each word, “I swear in the name of the Horse God, I will find a way to cure you!”
Lazar finally turned around, a glimmer of hope flashing in his eyes, but it was quickly overshadowed by the shadow of reality.
“My blood is my blood, and I cannot make a vow lightly. So many doctors have said that I must have my leg amputated to survive.”
"Doctors?" Lajalo gave a deliberately disdainful smile. "They know nothing! They all deserve to die!"
Miri died trying to save him, delaying Lazar's treatment.
He used gunpowder to burn the wound, but there must still be unseen dirt inside.
He tried using diluted salt water, but it didn't work, and there's still no news from the people he sent to Mil.
Those artisans skilled in distilling perfumes could easily produce alcohol, but it's too late. Given Lazar's current condition, given enough time, he will develop sepsis.
"My blood, believe me, I will never let you lose that leg!"
Even Taraharo himself is unsure if there is any hope left, but he must find a way to save him no matter what.
Lazar nodded, though he knew it was just a white lie.
After Rahalo left, he closed his eyes, calculating in his mind how long he could remain conscious.
If Bloodblood still hasn't found a solution by then, he will end it all with his scimitar and die like a true Dothraki warrior.
Lahalo stepped out of the tower, breathing in the scorching air outside, his heart heavy.
“Kao,” a warrior ran up, “a woman wants to see you. She says her name is Kui Xi and she has come for the dragon.”
"Kui Lizard?"
Rahalo frowned, pondered for a moment, and then his heart skipped a beat!
The Queen Lizard is a legendary red-robed priestess who is proficient in fire magic and can completely heal Lazar's leg!
"Bring her to see me, now!"
Having said that, he hurriedly ran back to the tower, excitedly exclaiming, "My blood! You're incredibly lucky! I've found the most skilled person in the world to heal your leg!"
After speaking, Rahalo hurriedly ran out to greet the visitors.
“Kao, she is Quessi,” Jiku said, pointing to the woman beside him. “She claims to have come for the dragon.”
Lahalo looked at the woman, who was tall and wore a wooden lacquer mask, a black robe that trailed on the ground, and heavy gold ornaments hanging on her chest.
At this moment, Quexi spoke in the Common tongue: "I am Quexi of the Shadowlands, who has been searching for dragons."
Lahalo went straight to the point, "Quexi, if you can heal my Blood Oath Guard, everything about the dragons is negotiable!"
Kui Xi was silent for a moment, his voice muffled behind the mask: "I can heal him."
Rahalo was overjoyed, "Fire magic?"
Kui Xi nodded calmly and said, "Fire can cleanse corruption, and light can dispel darkness. Please take me to see your Blood Oath Guard." "Very well, let me see your skills!"
Before he finished speaking, Rahalo led Quexi toward the tower, asking as they walked:
"The dragon has only just hatched, how do you know that?"
"Those who know about dragons are all over the world. We have foreseen the arrival of the comet. Magic is returning to this world."
“Quexi, where are you from?” Rahalo asked, his steps never faltering. “Asha, Kaiyuan, or Quess?”
“I wander between reality and magic, in a place forgotten by time.” She followed closely behind Rahalo, speaking with steady breath and at a brisk pace.
"You really only came here for the dragon?"
“No, I have come for a destined meeting,” said Kui Xi, “the reunion of the Son of Fire and the Fire Mystic.”
I saw you in the flames, Rahalo Dothraki.
You stride through the flames, your scimitar dripping blood, yet you cannot see the black tentacles gripping your wrists and ankles, those invisible threads that make you dance.
"What do you mean? Am I a puppet?"
"Not a puppet, but a dancer of destiny. Your future is inextricably linked to fire, blood, and dragons."
Many enemies lie on your path, but the most dangerous are not those who wield swords, but those who whisper.
These metaphysicians always liked to play tricks, so Lahalo didn't ask any further questions. When they arrived at Lazar's tower, he gestured for Quexi to go in first.
Lahalo sat down by the bed and pointed at Quexi. "This witch says she can heal your wounds."
“Who is she?” Lazar asked.
“Her name is Quexi,” Rahalo replied.
Kui Xi silently walked to the bedside and looked down at Lazar through the gaps in his mask. "His injuries have worsened, and the poison has spread very deep."
Lazar sneered, "I know. Those doctors said only amputation could save my life."
Kui Xi was silent for a moment, then said, "I need a knife. Silver is best, but iron will do. And a brazier."
She turned to Lajalo again, “The treatment will be very painful, the kind of pain no one can bear. But if it goes smoothly, his leg will recover.”
Lazar looked at Rahalo: "My blood, you believe her?"
"I believe."
Lahalo turned to Quexi, “You will see the dragon as you wish, but I warn you, if you fail, I will slit your throat myself, and if you survive, I will chase you all the way to that place forgotten by time and finally kill you.”
A soft laugh suddenly came from behind the mask of the Kui Xi: "Be careful, Child of Blood and Fire."
Rahalo frowned: "Be careful of what?"
“Beware of everyone.” Kui Xi suddenly became serious. “They will witness this miracle of rebirth day and night, and then greed will arise. For the flesh and blood of dragons are made of fire, and fire is power.”
“That’s enough,” Rahalo interrupted her. “Heal his leg, we can talk about other things later.”
Kui Xi nodded, and the warriors quickly brought over braziers and silver knives; everything was ready.
Kui Xi took out a small bottle from inside his robe and poured some deep red liquid into the brazier. The flames immediately turned an eerie blood red.
“Now,” she said, placing the tip of her knife into the fire, “all of you get out. Kao, please stay.”
Rahalo gestured for everyone to leave the tent, and Quexi then pulled a knife from the flames; the blade was already red-hot.
"Hold him down."
Rahalo pressed down on Lazar's shoulders and chest, and Kuixi tore off the bandage covered in pus and blood, then plunged the red-hot tip of his knife into the wound without hesitation.
Lazar's forehead veins bulged as he let out a deafening roar that could probably be heard throughout the entire command post.
