Chapter 203 Telephone
Hearing Baling speak so confidently, Biman did not underestimate him and immediately went to try to verify it.

"Let me look for it."

Biman took out an old, black book that was as thick as a brick.

Starting with the table of contents, I soon found the page about Mephisto, the Lord of Hell.

Three minutes later, Biman exclaimed in surprise, "Found it! This symbol really is the symbol of Mephisto, the Lord of Hell!"

Soon, a crowd gathered around.

As an outsider, Angela was unaware of the seriousness of the matter, but everyone except Baling turned pale when they learned that it involved a powerful demon from hell.

It's unimaginable what enormous crisis was hidden behind Isabel's death.

"It is recorded that Mephisto was a cunning demon and a powerful lord of Hell. He was adept at deceiving souls through trade and had descended to Earth several times, but never in his full glory. On several occasions, he was banished back to Hell by exorcists."

"But hundreds of years ago he once again smuggled himself to the human world. However, there is no record of whether he has returned to hell or is still on earth."

With a heavy heart, Biman recited the records from the book.

"Is it really him?" Constantine asked.

“Very likely. The books record that he descended to earth many times, and Isabel may have become his vessel. In the end, his goal of possessing the body failed. But it is also possible that he has successfully come to the human world, only in a new body.”

As a knowledgeable logistics team member, Biman had a lot to say about demons. Once he found the key points, he could deduce a great deal of information.

“Isabel! My Isabel! Waaah…” Angela, the older sister, wept bitterly for her younger sister’s tragic fate.

As the sister of a devout Catholic, she must have suffered greatly at such a tragic death.

Helpless, the crowd could not bring themselves to say something like, "I'm going to hell to avenge your sister," which was something they would use to fool a three-year-old.

All I can say is to offer my condolences and accept the inevitable.

"Are we now going to track down Mephisto? Father, Constantine, what do you think?"

Biman turned his body to look at Father Hennessy and Constantine.

The priest looked at Constantine. In the small group with a clear division of labor, Constantine was the main contributor and often the one who made the decisions.

This time, however, Constantine did not make a decision himself, but instead turned his attention to Baling and let the latter make the decision.

After all, Baling is now the boss, and he has been reduced to a subordinate.

"No rush. Let's find out the situation first. We can't be misled. Let's ask the person involved what they have to say."

Baling's words were astonishing, leaving everyone stunned. They thought about it again and again, but still couldn't grasp the meaning.

“Isabel…didn’t she go to hell? Constantine confirmed it. How can we ask her? Are we…should we send someone to hell and then bring them back?” Father Hennessy voiced the question that had puzzled everyone.

"That's not the case. We can call her and ask her about the specific circumstances at the time."

"Make a phone call!" Everyone present was surprised.

Baling didn't take it seriously, and instead took out something that looked like a watch from his pocket.

Clang!

—A bracelet worn by mourners.

A magical item that allows one to connect with loved ones who have passed away.

After briefly explaining the bracelet's function, and amidst the others' skeptical and curious gazes, Baling tossed the bracelet to Angela:
“Isabel died not long ago, she’s definitely still in hell. Use the bracelet to contact her and ask her about what happened before she died.”

Angela caught the bracelet and, without hesitation, put it on her wrist. She wiped away the tears on her cheeks, her eyes resolute.

Recalling the happy times she shared with her sister, Angela's gaze gradually became vacant, and tears streamed down her face uncontrollably.

The mourner's bracelet emitted a faint glow, and the surrounding air suddenly turned chilly, the temperature dropping several degrees. A connection originating from blood... even soul, was being activated.

A chilly, eerie wind blew by, and suddenly a sharp, dripping sound appeared.

Then, a muffled sound began to emanate from the bracelet.

"Sister, is that you?"

Upon hearing her deceased sister's voice, Angela's eyes lit up, and she exclaimed excitedly, "Isabella, it's me! Are you alright? I missed you so much! What happened?"

"I encountered a very, very evil demon who wanted to possess my body. I was in so much pain, but I knew I couldn't..."

Hiss... hiss...

It was like electromagnetic noise from a bad signal, which suddenly appeared, and the voice became intermittent, unable to form complete sentences.

“I…jumped…to stop…him…and…”

"Isabella! Isabella—!" Angela called out desperately, occasionally pounding her wrist with the mourner's bracelet in an attempt to improve the signal.

Beep!
The mourner's bracelet went dead.

Angela looked like the sky had fallen; she frantically recalled the past, wanting to reconnect.

Will it succeed?

Everyone else was hoping, and then, they succeeded!
"Leave it...for you...to unite your thoughts..."

"Be careful of Mom..."

The last sentence was left unsaid, and the sound abruptly stopped, but a new sound appeared.

"Hehehe! Who's making a phone call on my turf? Without informing me, they dare to contact my soul. This makes me very unhappy."

The sinister sound emanating from the bracelet shocked Biman and the others who were listening intently.

Where did this guy come from? He sounds pretty arrogant.

The answer will be revealed soon.

"Hey! You on the other side of the human world, you're this woman's twin sister, right? Do you want her to suffer less and even live a comfortable life?"

"Who are you? Switch the signal back!"

“Who am I! I’m in hell, who do you think I could be? I have many names, you can call me Loark. How about we make a deal, use your body to exchange for your sister’s safety.”

"What do you want to do? Don't do anything reckless! Don't hurt my sister."

"Sister! Don't listen to him, ahhh!" Isabella's terrified screams made Angela unable to calm down.

"If she doesn't agree, I'll have to teach her a lesson." Loark's voice was incredibly wicked, incredibly...unscrupulous.

"Stop! What do you want me to do?"

"Give me your body."

Angela lost all reason upon hearing her sister's cries.

"Damn it! Let me do it." Baling leaned over and shouted at the bracelet, "Mephisto, you useless piece of trash, all you do is play these deceptive schemes."

"court death!"

Suddenly, a gust of wind swept through the room, and a twisted figure emerged from the bracelet.

A mysterious, blurry demonic figure, through an invisible connection, forcibly manifested itself in the human world, even if only temporarily.
