Chapter 172 Calm
The Silent Hill monsters were arguing fiercely, each shouting and uttering a harsh sound.

"I, a dignified executioner, would lie to a mere faceless monster like you. A fifty-fifty handicap is a fifty-fifty handicap, how dare you, little Karami, question it!"

The triangular-headed man brandished his large machete, the clanging sound of the blade scraping against the ground already indicating his resentment.

"Hehe! Getting anxious. You're furious now that I've exposed you."

The faceless monster, without arms and with a gaping hole in its chest, continued to spew profanities.

"Fool, do you really want to test the sharpness of my greatsword!"

The triangular-headed figure raised a large cleaver with one arm, the tip of the blade pointing diagonally at the small, faceless monster.

"Tch! My spray isn't to be trifled with either!"

The faceless monster puffed out its chest, a thick, sticky black acid ready to be released.

The atmosphere suddenly became tense.

"You've already met your end!" Pyramid Head wouldn't tolerate any provocation and immediately slashed with his sword.

"Pfft pfft pfft!" The faceless monster raised its head and immediately spat out three mouthfuls of highly corrosive acid, heading towards the helmet of the Pyramid Head.

Rumble!
The ground suddenly shook violently, so violently it was as if an earthquake had struck, making it difficult to even stand still.

"Stop! Stop fighting!"

"Quack! Run! The big one is coming!"

The panicked cries of the monsters nearby interrupted the infighting.

In the distance, a missed beam of light trailed a terrifying energy fluctuation as it swiftly pierced the darkness, leaving a dazzling trail.

A dark red light suddenly blazed up, blinding everyone, and endless light and heat spread throughout the world.

Then, amidst intense energy fluctuations, the entire welcoming avenue exploded, its surface cracking and being torn up like a rolled-up lawn, soaring high into the air.

The monsters that had been watching from the sidelines also couldn't escape their fate and were sent flying hundreds of meters into the air.

Thus, the monsters who had been watching the battle perished along with the obliterated Great Road, awaiting their next respawn and restoration.

And in the heart of the battlefield.

The battle intensified.

The straw giant roared to the sky, startling half the sky with lightning and thunder. Its enormous body and every attack carried unparalleled power.

Deafening explosions echoed continuously amidst the clashes of battle.

The straw giant's enormous fist slammed down like a rolling boulder, but Baling's back straightened like a javelin, and his right fist lashed out.

The scorching force of the punch transformed into a ferocious whale, clashing head-on with the giant's fist.

In an instant, a vortex-like force erupted from the whale's mouth, tearing off several of the giant's fingers along with the flesh of his palm.

The giant was shocked and enraged, opening his mouth to unleash a beam of light, but at that moment, a black and white killer whale seized the opportunity from the clouds, swooping down and swinging its body in mid-air, whipping its tail to accelerate, and crashing headfirst into the giant's skull.

The light cannon misfired, exploded in his mouth, and half of his skull flew out.

A huge flaw has been exposed!

Baling seized the opportunity, unleashing a torrent of dark power. Then, he clenched his fist and unleashed it all in one breath!

Killing Whale Fist!
Killing Whale Fist!
Killing Whale Fist!
All the damage was poured into the giant's massive body, and the unparalleled force easily sent it flying, or even—destroyed it!
The domineering and powerful punch shattered the giant's skeleton and flesh, turning it into scattered straw fragments in an instant.

"Quack!" The straw giant, now reduced to mere fragments, couldn't understand why the power of the two punches differed so much.

But it's alright.

That's a mere fatal wound, heal me!

In the very short time that Baling had to stop to catch his breath, the straw giant reshaped his body.

With its recovery ability comparable to Baling's and the vast majority of its access to Silent Hill, it is truly terrifying!
Could it be that the battle will drag on until it requires a test of perseverance?
Baling didn't know, but he would never lose.

At this moment, the straw giant made another move.

The jet-black raven feathers flapped, shooting out streaks of crimson rain that poured down from the sky, melting even the hardest steel in their wake. Such a deadly attack—how could its opponent possibly counter it?
The wings behind Baling were also flapping rapidly.

A dark red aurora streaked across the sky, weaving through the crimson rain and avoiding most of the damage. The remaining damage was merely a few minor scratches, barely faster than the automatic recovery speed.

The tiny figures and the colossal bodies, hundreds of feet tall, crossed and collided time and again, creating waves of energy in Silent Hill.

Every punch and kick, every move, contains immense power that easily crushes and destroys everything.

Silent Hill has been reduced to ruins, with collapsed buildings everywhere and burning debris illuminating the night.

The pitch-black inner world has become as bright as day.

A crimson light pierced through the clouds, and a rolling wave of air swept across the earth. The battle that shook the heavens continued.

Thunder, whale songs, roars... this battle seems to have no end.

"Will we win?" Amidst the ruins, Aresa's heart sank, filled with worry and uncertainty about the outcome of the battle.

To be honest, the fact that Baling had become so strong after its return, far exceeding her expectations, greatly shocked Aresa.

If she had had that power back then, she would have already thoroughly humiliated the entire Silent Hill!

However, even though Baling is very strong, due to insufficient authority, Baling cannot match the Straw Giant in terms of sustained power.

So what should she do? And how can she turn the tide of the battle?

Aresa was conflicted; she even considered intervening in the battle, but reason prevailed over her impulse.

Things are different now. Not to mention Alessa, who was weakened after waking up, even in her prime, she could only trim the straw giant's toenails with all her might.

Alas! Alissa is already several versions behind and there's nothing she can do about it.

Perhaps, all she can do now is clasp her hands together and pray silently.

……

Having experienced countless cycles of the real and the alternate worlds, the monsters of Silent Hill had become numb from being killed so many times.

They lay flat on the ground, gazing helplessly at the sky.

Because, in a little while, the aftershocks will kill them.

Rather than struggling desperately, it's better to lie down and wait to die.

"When will the next death come? I'm ready with my takeoff posture so that when I land and die, I'll be both cool and stylish."

"Heh! What's the use of being handsome? How about we make a bet and see who can fly the highest later?"

"also."

"It's settled... the big one is coming."

a long time.

The big ones didn't come, and they didn't go to heaven either.

Has the outcome already been decided?
A thought simultaneously appeared in everyone's minds.

After a long time.

They are still alive; perhaps the long battle is truly coming to an end.

It was daytime in Silent Hill.

Aresa emerged from the shadows, and everything around her had been restored to its original state.

In the previous alternate world, Silent Hill was blasted into ruins, but in the next transition, it is perfectly intact again.

Aresa looked up at the calm sky.

She lost her authority, and her power was waning; she could no longer even fly.

The snowflake-like ashes continued to fall softly, bringing a rare moment of tranquility to the area.
