Chapter 169 Dance Drama
Absolutely stunning! A masterpiece!
A brand new, unreleased version! A bold and unconventional creation!

The reinterpretation and performance of "Swan Lake" will surely bring you a different experience.

It is a love letter from the famous dance choreographer Marios Barakin to the god of animals!
A spectacular performance, not open to the public, is about to begin at the Brukenthal Theatre.

Music, stage, audience, actors.

Already in place.

The lights shone down.

On the stage, two rows of dancers dressed in ballet tutus were graceful and precise, but their faces were expressionless, stiff as death.

It is obvious that they are neither living people nor spirits, but rather a pre-programmed, image-like existence.

As the music begins, Claire and Baling, the main characters, are about to start dancing.

Wearing a dance costume with bulging bottoms, Baling's face was resolute and unaffected, her body spontaneously completing the performance of the dance drama.

Having rehearsed many times, all the steps have become instinctive for Baling.

Some were even distracted, wondering how the superhero in his tight suit managed to solve the bulge problem. Had he somehow mastered some mysterious Eastern martial art—the "retracting genitals into the abdomen" technique?
The elegant and beautiful white swan, Baling, held Claire's hand and lifted her above his head.

change!
Claire is spinning in circles.

Then, the two continued to work together to complete various dance moves.

The two remained in their final pose until the music stopped.

Suddenly, thunderous applause erupted from the audience.

The lights came on, and the theater was packed, even though it was a theater that was not open to the public.

The audience members in the seats were dressed in clothes from the last century, each one like a gentleman or lady from high society, but they too were an illusion.

On stage, Baling and Claire are bowing, but the performance is not over yet; the Black Swan segment is about to begin.

Claire appeared dressed as a black swan.

As the music intensifies, the dance drama gradually reaches its climax.

Finally, in the last scene.

Claire returns to her swan attire, while Baling, as the prince, battles the approaching demons.

Baling engaged in a fierce dance battle with the masked dancers, but for the sake of the plot, he was defeated and fell to the ground after the fight, looking utterly defeated.

The masked dancer had already gripped the dagger and plunged it into Claire's chest.

A fleeting look of pain crossed Claire's eyes, but the sensation was suddenly blocked out.

At that moment, applause erupted from the audience, full of satisfaction. This was exactly what they had been waiting for!

"Gah——!"

With a long, mournful cry, the stage floor suddenly cracked open, and from the dark opening, a huge black swan flew out—it was the true form of the demon.

Its mouth is full of sharp teeth, its fluffy feathers are multicolored black, and when it stands on two legs, its long neck can reach the ceiling of a theater.

"Hehehe! I'm out! Where's my new body?!"

The Black Swan Demon sensed in an instant the sacrifice that belonged to it and the body that was about to be taken over.

"Hiss! I love this strong body so much!"

The demon transformed into a black streak of light, flashing past in an instant, and burrowed towards Baling's head.

Then there is no more then.

The demon that walked into the trap did not enter a well-adjusted machine, but a black hole that would devour everything.

The powerful gravity bound it, captured it, and finally tore its soul apart. "Gah gah gah—! No! You can't! Let me out! I want to go home! I want to go home!"

Terrified and desperate screams echoed continuously within his body.

But the black swan demon, reduced to fish on a chopping block, has no bargaining power; all that awaits it is endless darkness, until a cold death.

It had just come out, and before it even had a chance to show off, it was about to die.

"Caw! It's you! It's you!" Before dying, the Black Swan Demon suddenly realized and uttered strange words.

Baling sneered, "What do you mean, 'you'? What are you pretending to be an acquaintance for? I don't know you at all. Trying to build connections won't work on me. You're dead meat."

"You who slaughter your own kind, Hell has taken notice of you, and you will not live. I curse you, you will suffer the same fate as me." The Black Swan Demon continued to curse before dying, but Baling scoffed, as it had no effect on him whatsoever.

"Come on then! I was just thinking you're too incompetent."

After saying that, Baling didn't take it to heart. Anyway, he would never go to hell in this life. In the human world, who wins and who loses, only time would tell.

However, Baling was confident that he would not be defeated by himself.

For no other reason than his strength gave him confidence.

Baling picked up the fallen Claire, pulled out his knife, and pressed his hand to his chest, channeling streams of regenerative power into Claire's body.

Before the ballet performance, Baling had taken precautions to save Claire's life.

A few minutes later, Claire's pale face began to look better.

"you're awake."

Claire opened her beautiful eyes and saw Baling's melancholy and worried face.

"Where is the demon?" Claire asked, somewhat weakened.

“It’s been eliminated. You did a great job, and I thank you on behalf of the world.” Baling helped Claire up and said solemnly.

“There’s no need to say that. We’re all righteous, aren’t we?” Claire felt her strength gradually returning, and the fatigue from dancing seemed to have disappeared.

"Yes. It must be." Baling turned his head away somewhat guiltily.

Since the demon died and the ballet ended, the strange dancers and audience members have also vanished without a trace.

The lights and sound stopped.

The two walked in the darkness, and Claire asked her about what happened on stage after she was stabbed.

Baling only briefly explained that a large black swan appeared and tried to take over his body, but Baling imprisoned the demon with his overwhelming willpower and ruthlessly suppressed and destroyed it.

“I see. I knew Black Swans were bad.” Claire said thoughtfully, then added, “What about the others?”

At this moment, Claire suddenly became curious about the situation of Marios, the butler, and the ballet instructor.

Baling said he had never seen them either, but evil will eventually perish, so Claire need not worry.

On their way out of the theater, Baling and Claire found the answer: it was a masked dancer, and beneath the mask was the face of Marios, but a younger version, only with an exceptionally thin body.

Beside them were two shriveled corpses, whose clothing and facial features made them roughly recognizable as the butler and the female ballet instructor.

They gave everything for the new Swan Lake.

What appears to be a love letter to the animal god is actually a demon summoning ritual. Unable to understand the underlying truth, he ultimately loses his life for no reason.

The abandoned Brukenthal Theatre had just hosted a performance and was about to close down.

However, it will soon be needed again.
