Chapter 254 This Male Succubus

Inside the Grand Palais in Paris, the lights suddenly went out, leaving only the LED light strips on both sides of the runway stretching out like a galaxy.

As the deep notes of a cello filled the air and the first spotlight shone down, the Spring/Summer 2019 fashion show officially began.

Supermodel Gigi Hadid made her debut in a deconstructed suit dress, her sharp catwalk sparking the first wave of camera shutters.

Next up was Kendall Jenner, who wore a see-through lace dress with a metal chain around her waist that jingled with each step.

“Tsk, this dress…” Zhou Ye leaned close to Gu Yang’s ear, her warm breath brushing against his earlobe, “It’s not as nice as the one I tried on yesterday.”

Gu Yang's gaze swept over her slender figure encased in an LV haute couture gown, and he sighed inwardly.

Where does this girl get the confidence to compare herself to supermodels? She clearly doesn't even have curves...

"Xiao Yangzi!" Zhou Ye suddenly pinched his arm. "Were you talking badly about me in your mind just now?"

? ? ? ? ?

Holy crap, how did they know that?

“No.” Gu Yang said without changing his expression, “I was wondering why Nicolas made the Spring/Summer 2019 collection so…”

"So revealing?" Zhou Ye curled his lip, looking at the supermodel's deep V-neck that almost reached her waist. "Some people must have been staring, right?"

"What's so interesting about it? Is a woman's charm displayed through that?"

"shallow!!!"

"Low-class!!!"

"childish!!!"

Just as Gu Yang was about to retort, the catwalk suddenly went dark.

The music stopped abruptly, and a beam of light shone on the closing model, who was wearing a men's trench coat that incorporated Eastern elements, but no one else stepped onto the stage.

Doubtful whispers arose from the crowd.

Just then, Nicolas Gueschiel walked over to Gu Yang's seat.

The design genius wearing black-rimmed glasses leaned over and said something. Gu Yang frowned slightly, and then got up and left his seat amidst the astonished gazes of everyone.

"What's going on?" Zhou Ye grabbed the brand's PR representative.

The PR person lowered their voice: "That closing design was altered three times to fit Mr. Gu's body proportions..."

Backstage in the dressing room, six stylists surrounded Gu Yang at the same time.

The Italian art director stared at his waistline, which was encased in a silk shirt, and murmured to himself, "Even more perfect than the measurements show!"

"Gu, you're a natural-born model!"

When the closing music suddenly switched to deep electronic drumbeats, the entire venue fell silent.

Under the spotlight, Gu Yang made his entrance with steady steps.

His LV Spring/Summer 2019 menswear completely subverted the traditional runway look: the black patent leather trench coat was completely open, revealing a deep V-neck silk shirt held up by only two silver chains.

The bronze-colored lines of his chest muscles undulated beneath the sheer fabric, shimmering slightly with each breath.

That's the effect of essential oil applied temporarily by the stylist backstage under the lights.

“Jesus Christ…”

The pen in the hand of the editor of American Vogue fell onto the notebook.

Gu Yang's catwalk skills are indeed not professional enough, but his looks, physique and temperament are unmatched.

As you walk past the front row seats:
The editor-in-chief of Italian GQ was unaware that her earring had gotten caught in her hair.

French actress Marion Cotillard unconsciously licked her lips.

A Middle Eastern princess sitting in the third row slapped her assistant's arm with a folding fan.

The most outrageous example is supermodel Kendall Jenner, who simply pulled out her phone and started recording. When caught on camera by a Harper's Bazaar reporter, she confidently asked, "What? Can't I appreciate art?"

Zhou Ye's nails dug into her palms. This man was causing her so much worry.

It's just a fashion show, why dress so revealingly?
What the hell is this thing?
She could clearly see that the seemingly casual silver chain around Gu Yang's waist was swaying dangerously with his steps, as if it would break at any moment.

As soon as the show ended, Givenchy's creative director Claire stopped Galaxy Media's public relations director: "Arrange a meeting immediately, I want him to shoot the 2019 early autumn campaign."

She pointed at Gu Yang, who was surrounded by the media, and said, "Tell Nikolai that I will not back down this time."

Patrick, the Lagerfeld's personal photographer, squeezed next to Gu Yang and said in heavily accented French English, "The rhythm of your walk is like a Siberian tiger patrolling its territory."

He gestured excitedly, "I'm going to plan a blockbuster series just for you!"

Chanel's jewelry director, Sophie, removed a €230 million "Comet" diamond brooch from the "Comet" collection and pinned it to Gu Yang's open lapel amidst gasps of astonishment.

"This is the rightful place for fine jewelry."

She told her stunned assistant, "Contact his agent immediately. We need to renegotiate next year's ambassador contract."

Gu Yang brought Zhou Ye to try and secure fashion resources, but Zhou Ye hasn't secured any deals yet. Gu Yang himself, however, has become a darling of Fashion Week.

All I can say is that this world is too focused on looks!

Zhou Ye was still lost in thought and didn't notice that the show lights had come back on.

It wasn't until the warm cashmere coat was draped over her shoulders that she realized Gu Yang had returned to his seat sometime earlier.

"Jealous?" He was still slightly out of breath from walking the runway.

Zhou Ye pinched the soft flesh on the inside of his wrist: "Xiao Yangzi, the clothes you wore on the runway just now were not good at all!"

"Really? There's nothing we can do; it's the brand's requirement."

“Nikola even invited me to wear that outfit for an advertisement.”

"No, it looks terrible!"

"is it?"

"Hmm... but Xiaoyangzi, could you take that dress back to the hotel to wear?"

"???"

……

The party was held in a private museum on the banks of the Seine, where 18th-century crystal chandeliers illuminated the exhibition hall as if it were daytime.

Zhou Ye changed into a specially customized Chinese-style dress from LV. The silk skirt with its ink-wash gradient flowed with her steps, shimmering under the lights.

She was holding a glass of champagne and talking with the global president of Guerlain when she caught a glimpse of Gu Yang being surrounded by a group of international media.

He was still wearing the same deep V-neck silk shirt from the fashion show, but casually draped a cashmere coat over it, the collarbone lines barely visible at the neckline drawing frequent glances from the female guests around him.

"What are your impressions of Paris, Miss Zhou?" the Guerlain president asked with a smile.

“It’s beautiful,” Zhou Ye said, withdrawing his gaze with impeccable manners. “It’s like your Midnight Flight perfume, romantic yet dangerous.”

Not far away, Zhao Liying and Yang Mi had a rare get-together.

"Gu Yang really stole the show tonight," Yang Mi said jealously. "I just saw the editor-in-chief of ELLE France taking pictures of him for ten minutes."

Zhao Liying also looked somewhat dejected: "It's strange! I haven't known him for very long, but..."

"He seems... born to stand in this place."

As they were talking, a round of applause suddenly broke out.

Louis Vuitton CEO Michael Burke walked up the central steps and announced Gu Yang as the brand's first male brand ambassador in China.

The flashbulbs instantly focused, and Gu Yang calmly stepped onto the stage. During his speech, his gaze pierced through the crowd and precisely locked onto Zhou Ye.

Things are almost done here, it's time to keep my promise and take Little Coconut out for some alone time.

He was also looking forward to it...
