Chapter 126 Organizing Tantric Visualization Methods: Dharma Protector Mahakala and the Ghost Cat
There are many people who eat snakes on Hong Kong Island, and finding venomous snakes is not difficult as long as you have the right connections.
In the afternoon, Huang Jinshen, who was busy with various tasks, found five different kinds of venomous snakes for Li Zhen.
Li Zhen took two snakes from each group, removed their gallbladders and venom, and placed them in separate cups.
After placing the remaining snake carcass on the altar as a sacrifice, he took out the small snake scale that had been sealed on the altar with wax.
While chanting the incantation, he placed the scale into one of the cups containing snake gall and snake venom.
A large amount of dense foam emerged from the snake venom.
After the foam disappeared, Li Zhen took out the snake scales.
The snake venom in the cup had turned jet black and was slightly larger than when Li Zhen had taken it out earlier.
After Li Zhen placed the snake scale in all four other cups, the snake scale had grown to the size of half a fingernail.
Looking at the snake scales that shimmered with a dark luster, and then at his own arm, Li Zhen saw that the snake scales on his arm were also constantly wriggling and expanding. Although the keratin layer on it had not thickened, it also shimmered with a dark luster and looked more solid.
The granulation tissue on those wounds also moved faster.
At this rate, these ulcers should heal completely in less than three days.
Seeing that the scales were increasing in number, Li Zhen immediately resealed the scale into the melted wax.
But this time it wasn't as easy as before.
Even though Li Zhen sealed the scales into the wax droplets, the armor on the scales on his hands still thickened a bit.
Looking at the even more eerie scales, Li Zhen picked up a sharp knife and tried cutting his arm.
He didn't use his full strength.
The knife only cut through the surface scales, without damaging the flesh inside.
This surprised Li Zhen a bit.
This kind of alienation is indeed quite severe.
However, this "snake transformation" has now reached its limit.
Unless his body undergoes some special changes, he will not be able to control the expansion of those scales and armor if he continues to use them.
Li Zhen originally only wanted to treat his wounds, but the results achieved have far exceeded his expectations.
After chanting an incantation, Li Zhen pressed the wax-covered scale under the demon statue.
This scale is the core of the "Snake Transformation" and is extremely important to Li Zhen, so he must preserve it well.
Pulling down his sleeve, Li Zhen put on the thin gloves that Huang Jinshen had found for him, so that others wouldn't see the strange condition on his hands.
Looking at his neck, Li Zhen tugged at his collar.
When he realized that his collar couldn't cover his neck, he stopped worrying about it.
The nail hyperplasia in this area isn't very severe; it looks like a tattoo.
Li Zhen usually operates in the dark at night, so few people can see the condition of his neck.
The reason Li Zhen covered his arm wasn't because he was afraid of attracting the attention of ordinary people.
His time in the mission world was short, and attracting some attention was insignificant.
He was worried that some sorcerers or other practitioners of evil magic would discover that something was wrong with his physical condition.
After resting for a while, Li Zhen took out a pen and a notebook and wrote down the Tantric visualization techniques he had acquired.
It was a little inconvenient to hold a pen after scales grew on his hands, but he got used to it.
Tantric Buddhism places great emphasis on visualization, especially Tibetan Buddhism, which regards visualization as one of its core practices.
For them, visualization is not only a meditation technique, but also an ultimate method for transforming consciousness and achieving "Buddhahood in this very life," and its importance is self-evident.
Many visualization methods are very complicated, requiring not only strict rituals but also visualization of different Buddhas or Dharma protectors.
For example, in the memory fragments obtained by Li Zhen, there was a mention of that Master Dorje saying that there is a visualization method that requires visualizing more than 700 Buddhas, down to the exact location, color, and objects held by each one.
To master this visualization technique, one must visualize hundreds of Buddhas.
The visualization method of that Dorje Guru is relatively simple. It does not require visualizing multiple Buddhas, but only requires choosing one Dharma protector to visualize.
This method of meditation is divided into only three levels.
The first level is the initial stage of external cultivation.
The second layer consists of the internal control and sensory stages.
The highest level, the third level, is the stage where one becomes indistinguishable from the Dharma Protector.
Dorje Rinpoche visualized Mahakala, also known as the Great Black Deity.
Tibetan Buddhism generally believes that Mahakala is the wrathful form of Vairocana Buddha when he subdues demons, and he has several forms, including six-armed, four-armed, and two-armed.
Dorje Rinpoche visualized a four-armed form.
This image of Mahakala has a bluish-black body, five skulls as decoration on its head, three eyes on its face, a string of human heads hanging around its neck, and a tiger skin around its waist.
Its posture is usually that of standing on two legs with flames raging behind it.
Of course, Li Zhen couldn't directly use this visualization method to visualize the Dharma protectors of Buddhism.
Dorjee regarded him as a demon. If Li Zhen were to meditate on Mahakala, the result would be predictable.
Even if the Great Darkness doesn't react, the demon within him will.
The "Five Elements Evil Spirit Sublimation Method" doesn't mention any consequences of using orthodox religious guardian deities as one of the five elements.
Moreover, it's uncertain whether these demons can withstand the will descended by Mahakala.
If Daikokuten truly has a will...
Li Zhen closed his eyes and recalled the memories he had obtained from the fragments of the weasel's memory.
Dorje Rinpoche said that he could sense the presence of Mahakala.
The weasel did not purify its resentment, so it did not formally practice this method of cultivation.
From the weasel's memories, Li Zhen couldn't find any specific experience of visualization, nor did he know what it felt like to visualize Mahakala.
pity……
If we could have obtained the memories of that guru back then, we would have been able to directly experience the state of practicing visualization, and then we would have known what state Mahakala was in.
Having visited so many mission worlds, Li Zhen had seen statues that reacted, but he had never seen a real god.
Li Zhen was very interested in Tantric Buddhist meditation techniques.
However, he had never read Buddhist scriptures and was not familiar with Buddhist teachings, so it was difficult for him to understand some of the teachings about that guru that he had seen in his memory.
You can ask Master Wenma Damo directly after you meet him.
Although they are from different schools of Buddhism, their Buddhist principles are interconnected. If one could communicate with Master Wenma Mamo, one would surely gain a lot.
I wonder what Master Wenmada is doing right now...
After organizing the relevant memories, Li Zhen carefully reviewed them several times and added some additional information.
This method of visualization is very systematic.
Even though Li Zhen didn't fully understand some of the special words, what he did understand gave him a lot of new insights into visualization techniques, and some of his doubts were also answered.
Just as Li Zhen had always wondered why when he first visualized the bat-faced demon, he only borrowed some demonic aura, but did not undergo a fundamental change in his primordial spirit as he did when he visualized the righteous god.
This method of contemplation provides an answer.
According to this method of visualization, the ultimate goal of visualization is to unite with the visualized Dharma protector and realize that the two are inseparable.
Since Li Zhen cannot merge with the demon, he can at most reach the sensing stage, using some of the demon's power to enhance his primordial spirit and evil arts, but it is impossible for his primordial spirit to undergo a fundamental change.
It wasn't until he practiced the "Five Elements Evil Spirit Sublimation Method" that Li Zhen's primordial spirit began to undergo a fundamental change.
So, his current foundation is the "Five Elements Evil Spirit Sublimation Method".
After carefully reviewing his notes several times, until his eyes were dazzled, Li Zhen finally put them away.
Any sect with a long history, especially a major sect like Buddhism or Taoism, has very valuable core traditions. Obtaining even a little of them can give Li Zhen a lot of inspiration.
After the sun began to set, the little devil started to get active again.
It wandered around Li Zhen's room for a while out of boredom, then disappeared, seemingly going off to do something else.
By the time Wong Kam-sing finished dealing with everything and returned home, it was already evening.
Without delay, Li Zhen and Huang Jinshen drove directly to the tea restaurant.
This time, Li Zhen didn't bring the vampire zombies and the ghost fetus. He just put the white bone club of the mahjong ghost and the red-eyed bat in a bag and took them with him.
The bored little imp also followed Li Zhen on its own. As long as it didn't show itself, Huang Jinshen couldn't see it.
Even though Alien Huang circled around Melvin Wong many times, Melvin Wong didn't notice Alien Huang's presence. At most, he felt a sudden chill run down his spine.
The car stopped across from the tea restaurant.
Seeing that the tea restaurant across the street was not open during mealtime, Li Zhen guessed that something might have happened inside the tea restaurant.
After getting out of the car, Wong Kam-sing suddenly asked, "What happened to your hand? And your neck?"
"The backlash from the black magic is a minor issue." Li Zhen pulled up his collar to slightly cover his neck.
Wong Kam-sing said thoughtfully, "You didn't have these things on you yesterday, so... you were injured by that sorcerer?"
Upon hearing about the backlash of the sorcery, he assumed that Li Zhen had suffered some hidden losses when facing the sorcerer yesterday.
Although the sorcerer was very wary of Li Zhen, even fearful, it was possible that he might inflict some losses on Li Zhen in his final counterattack.
"It's a problem with my own body."
Wong Kam-sing said, "I don't know anything about black magic, such strange and evil things... You have to be careful."
"You often encounter strange things, so you can learn some magic to protect yourself."
"I dare not learn black magic."
"I also know some other spells, both the sinister and the legitimate."
"Then I need to become your disciple?"
"If you want to worship me, I can accept it."
"I'd rather not become your apprentice. But if you can teach me, I'm definitely willing to learn. The things that have happened this past year have really frightened me. You seem to have gone through a lot as well. You can tell me about it sometime."
Li Zhen and his companion crossed the road and headed towards the entrance of the tea restaurant.
It was already dark by then. The lights were on in the tea restaurant, but there was hardly anyone in sight, making it seem a bit eerie.
Just as Li Zhen reached the entrance of the tea restaurant, the woman in uniform opened the door, clearly having been waiting inside for quite some time.
"Master, you've finally arrived." The woman visibly breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing Li Zhen's face.
She then looked at Wong Kam-sing and smiled, "Thank you for your help, Officer Wong."
Huang Jinshen glanced at the woman's face a few times, his eyes filled with doubt.
"Officer Huang, you must have a bad memory." The woman smiled. "My name is Su Yuanqiong. I met Officer Huang last month when I attended a banquet at my uncle's house. I had no other choice but to ask Officer Huang to find someone."
"Surname Su?" Huang Jinshen glanced at the woman named Su Yuanqiong a few more times, seemingly understanding who Su Yuanqiong was.
Su Yuanqiong invited Li Zhen and Huang Jinshen into the tea restaurant and explained to Li Zhen, "After hearing the master's reminder, I felt more and more uneasy, so I uprooted the potted plant. Inside... there was indeed what the master had mentioned."
"After I moved the potted plant, I felt uneasy, as if something big was going to happen. I had no choice but to ask a master to help me."
She led Li Zhen and Huang Jinshen to the potted plant that Li Zhen had mentioned was suppressing the wealth position.
Li Zhen noticed that the potted plant was still in the same spot.
However, some humus had fallen next to the potted plant, and the lower part of the plant was loose, indicating that it had indeed been pulled up.
A faint, unpleasant odor emanated from the potted plant.
On the way, Wong Kam-sing knew what had happened, and at that moment he became very curious about what was inside the potted plant.
Huang Jinshen looked at Li Zhen with an inquiring gaze, and after seeing Li Zhen nod, he walked to the potted plant and reached out to grab it.
Suddenly, a piercing meow rang in his ears, startling him so much that his heart skipped a beat.
Huang Jinshen suddenly looked down and saw his trouser leg move. He turned his head slightly and saw a dark shadow flash past him.
"You heard it all too?" He looked at Li Zhen with a serious expression.
Li Zhen looked away: "I'm warning you not to meddle in other people's business."
The little devil beside him was very interested in the black cat, and in a flash, he chased after it to some unknown place.
Wong Kam-sing sighed: "This kind of thing is really scary. If I were here alone, I would turn around and run right now. I wouldn't stay here for even a second."
“After I moved the potted plant, I also saw this strange black cat. I thought it was my own hallucination, but now it seems that’s not the case.” Su Yuanqiong’s face turned deathly pale with fright. “Please, Master, save me… I have always been kind to others. I don’t know who would want to use such vicious means to harm me.”
Sensing the intense resentment emanating from the potted plant, Li Zhen became even more interested in this kind of evil magic performed using a cat's corpse as a medium.
This shouldn't be like what the little devil said, just something used to disrupt feng shui.
Li Zhen went to the potted plant and personally pulled the green plant out of the ceramic pot below.
The little devil was right; buried under the greenery was indeed the badly decomposed body of a black cat.
The cat's eyes were sewn shut with sewing thread, and its body was wrapped with seven layers of thin red rope, one of which had broken off at the cat's abdomen.
There were some broken roots on the cat's decaying body, indicating that the body had been buried there for some time.
A piece of yellow paper was pressed under the black cat's belly.
The note had been mostly pulled out, and some parts had already decomposed from the cat's corpse.
The contents of this note can also be roughly discerned from other sources.
"...Black soul...enters the earth, fortune...ends, yin energy...entangles the body, business...severes..."
Standing next to Li Zhen, Huang Jinshen read out the words he could see in a low voice.
"How bizarre! Is this the evil magic you were talking about that breaks people's feng shui?"
"Not only does it disrupt people's feng shui, but it also uses red rope to lock their souls and sews their eyes shut with sewing thread. Is it trying to create a special, resentful ghost cat? People whose wealth positions are suppressed by this thing will probably not only see their businesses decline, but they will also lose their lives in the end."
Su Yuanqiong was terrified: "Master, what should we do now? After discovering this cat's corpse, I was worried that it might cause some trouble, so I haven't dared to touch it."
“It was the right thing not to touch it. If you had touched it beforehand, there would be no way you would be unharmed now.” Li Zhen broke off a branch from the plant and poked the cat carcass, causing it to flip over.
Beneath the cat's corpse was a more severely decomposed piece of paper. Only one line could be barely discerned as a birth date and time, and another line as a name—Su...Qiong.
The one in the middle should be "元" (yuan).
Upon seeing the note, Su Yuanqiong's heart sank: "This is my birth date and time!"
“It’s obvious that they’re deliberately targeting Miss Su.” Huang Jinshen has accumulated a wealth of experience in this kind of thing.
Su Yuanqiong said with a wry smile, "Officer Huang, can this be used as evidence for me to call the police?"
Wong Kam-sing spread his hands: "What reason would you use to call the police? Is someone trying to harm you? Ms. Su, this is a scientific age. If you call the police like that, the officers will only suggest that you go to a mental hospital for treatment, instead of wasting police resources to investigate this kind of thing for you."
"Of course, I personally believe in Miss Su."
Su Yuanqiong said helplessly, "Then we can only trouble you, Master."
Li Zhen pointed with his stick at the red rope wrapped around the cat's corpse and asked Su Yuanqiong, "Did you cut this rope?"
Su Yuanqiong quickly shook her head: "No, that's how I felt when I first saw this cat corpse."
Li Zhen retracted the branch and poked the black cat's eyes.
After the cat's corpse decomposed, the sewing thread that had been firmly sewn to the cat's eyes loosened, causing Li Zhen to poke open the cat's eyelids and expose the eyeballs filled with live maggots.
Having witnessed countless bloody scenes, Wong Kam-sing was still able to tolerate this bizarre scene.
Upon seeing this scene, Su Yuan immediately covered his mouth and gagged.
Li Zhen's branch pointed downwards and poked into the first red rope.
The red ropes were severely rotten and were easily broken by Li Zhen.
"stop!"
A man's voice suddenly came from outside the tea restaurant.
Li Zhen ignored him and continued to pierce the remaining red ropes one by one.
Wong Kam-sing walked to the spot between Detective Lee and the door, blocking the person who rushed in.
Unable to move Huang Jinshen, and seeing that Li Zhen was about to sever the last red thread, the man exclaimed in alarm, "No! If you do that, it will be released! You..."
The red thread broke off and detached from the cat's corpse.
Li Zhen threw down the tree branch and looked at the young man who ran in.
The man was wearing a suit and his hair was styled in the trendy Hong Kong-style side part, making him look like a feng shui master.
Seeing that all the red ropes on the cat's corpse had broken, the man said with frustration, "I'm still too late!"
He looked at Li Zhen: "Do you know what you've done? By doing this, you'll not only kill Miss Su, but you'll also kill yourself!"
