Hogwarts: Don't call me Wandmaker
Chapter 478 Dumbledore's Whereabouts
Chapter 478 Dumbledore's Whereabouts
After entering October, the weather became colder day by day, and many people have already put on thicker school uniform robes.
Everyone was looking forward to spending the weekend in Hogsmeade Village, and with this eager anticipation, even the dry history of magic seemed much more interesting.
Because this is the last class on Friday, and if we just hold on a little longer it will be the weekend... Everyone can almost see the delicious Honey Duke candies and sweet butterbeer beckoning them.
"A detailed account of the impact of the War of Giants on the wizarding world, requiring a length of at least one foot... Seriously, why is there so much homework in Hogsmeade week?!"
As the bell rang, Ron walked out of the classroom, muttering a complaint.
"There's so much homework, I can't possibly finish it all in one day!"
“You can come back from Hogsmeade sooner,” Hermione said. “That will make things easier.”
“What are you talking about? That was our first Hogsmeade Week. Honeydukes, the Three Broomsticks, Devi's-Bans… I have so many places I want to go.” Ron’s eyes were still shining as he spoke.
For him, this year's Hogsmeade Week was of great significance.
Although he had been to Hogsmeade Week more than once, he didn't have much money back then. He mostly wandered around Honeydukes, and after satisfying his eye candy, he would buy some Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans or cheap candies like the Licorice Wand.
But he's rich this year.
Helping out at the wand shop during the holidays filled his pockets considerably, and he earned his own gold coins for the first time.
I've been saving up my allowance for so long, isn't this the time to do it?
He wanted to buy so many things: fluffy tooth mints, chocolate frogs, sizzling honey candies, cream bombs, all kinds of chocolates... He was just waiting to splurge in Hogsmeade Village tomorrow.
Now Hermione wants him to come back sooner?
Impossible, it couldn't be any earlier!
At worst... at worst, he can stay up all night and finish his homework first!
Ron gritted his teeth and actually ran back to the common room to do his homework.
Sylvanas didn't know what time he went to sleep, but the next morning, Ron was almost at the very front of the line heading to Hogsmeade.
"Did he really not sleep all night?" Siren asked in surprise.
“Probably…” Harry nodded. “Anyway, I didn’t hear him go back to his dorm.”
"If he could put that same effort into his studies, he would have gotten several Os by now!" Hermione said irritably.
“You’re putting him in a lot of trouble,” Xilun said with a smile.
He stood at the very back of the line and followed the people in front of him, walking forward little by little.
Filch was standing at the door, checking the names of everyone on a long list of students who had parental or guardian permission to visit Hogsmeade Village.
Although everyone thought it was pointless to check and a waste of time, Filch enjoyed it immensely and took it very seriously each time.
A few minutes later, Xilun and the others walked past Filch and went up the stone steps to the outside area.
It was a nice day, sunny and bright. Although it was a bit windy, it wasn't particularly cold.
Professor McGonagall and Snape were already waiting on the field.
Perhaps worried that Sirius and Snape might fight again, Professor McGonagall simply arranged for one of them to accompany her to Hogsmeade, thus fundamentally resolving this potential problem.
Snape, however, didn't seem very happy; he always had a stern face. Once everyone was outside, the group set off. They passed through the school gates and turned left onto the road leading to Hogsmeade Village.
Ron was very excited, chattering away with Harry about which candy they should buy first.
"I'm definitely going to buy the Honeydew Honey Candy, it's Honeydew's signature candy... I also want to try something different, the Bloody Lollipop would be nice, I heard vampires love that."
They walked along the main road, passing Joko's joke shop... Some of them immediately left the group, with Fred, George, and Lee Jordan being the fastest.
Further ahead was the post office, where Xilun stopped and said, "I have to go ask some questions. See you later, Three Brooms."
"See you later," Ron said, then pulled Harry along without looking back and headed straight for Honeyduke.
Xilun walked into the post office, which was much larger than it looked from the outside. On the high roof, he could see hundreds of different owls.
Siren approached a shop assistant and asked about how to hire owls at the school.
The simplest way is to write to the post office, and they will send a reply by a qualified owl.
But Silen felt it was too much trouble to write a letter every time, and the owl shed at the school was on the other side of the grounds, and it would take about half an hour to go there and back from the common room.
One or two times is fine, but given his current wand order volume, the number of times will definitely be no less, so the wasted time is quite a lot.
Realizing that a big customer had arrived, the post office clerk became much more attentive and brought Xilen a bell.
There are two bells. If one of them is rung, the other bell at the post office will also ring, and then the post office staff will know that Siron needs an owl.
Although the shop assistant said that this method couldn't select the owl breed, Celen didn't need to, since he wouldn't have to pay for delivery anyway; he could just send the strongest owl to Hogwarts.
After these matters were discussed and agreed upon, more than half an hour had passed.
Xilun walked out of the post office and onto the main street outside, where he went to get three brooms as agreed.
As always, the place was packed with people and incredibly noisy.
Harry and the others hadn't arrived yet, so Siron ordered a butterbeer and found an empty seat near the corner, next to Professor McGonagall and Snape.
"It's probably because it's next to the professor that nobody wants to sit there..." Xiren thought to himself.
But he had no choice; all the seats around him were full, and there was only one empty seat.
As Siron walked over and sat down, he happened to hear Snape and Professor McGonagall talking next to him.
“Believe me, Minerva, Black is utterly unfit to be a professor,” Snape said in a deep voice. “Do you know what he’s done? He’s inciting students to break school rules!”
“But Severus, you know, he’s the only wizard willing to take the position,” Professor McGonagall said.
"Furthermore, I must remind you that you are all professors now, not students as you were a decade or two ago. To openly duel in the auditorium is simply absurd!"
“Severus, I hope this only happens once, and Albus has some very important business in Albania recently, so he probably won’t be able to come back anytime to deal with your dispute!”
