Hogwarts: Don't call me Wandmaker
Chapter 362 Renewal 1 New Castle
Chapter 362 A Newly Renovated Castle
"Luna".
Xilun stepped forward and asked, "What are you looking at?"
“Hello, Celen.” Luna turned around. “Congratulations on completing the Warriors’ first project.”
“Thank you,” Siren said, glancing at her bare feet. “Aren’t you cold?”
“A little,” Luna said, “but all my shoes have mysteriously disappeared.”
“I suspect it was done by nymphs.” She paused, then added seriously.
A gnat... well, another magical creature I've never heard of before. But being around Luna always provides opportunities to learn new things, and Xiren is used to it.
As for why "Hook" stole Luna's shoes... well, that's a question for the "smart people" of Ravenclaw to answer.
Xiren remembered that Luna also had a nickname, "Crazy Girl," which was spread by the Ravenclaws.
Xilen glanced at Luna again, but she seemed completely unconcerned, as if the shoes really had been stolen by the slug.
"Do you need any help?" Siren said. "It's a bit chilly in December, so it'll be more comfortable to wear shoes."
"No need, look over there."
Luna pointed upwards.
Only then did Xiren notice a pair of red and white patterned boots hanging on an arched statue in the corridor.
The shoelaces had been untied and were haphazardly wrapped around the longsword of the knight statue.
"Just like many times before, the missing shoes always come back, although sometimes it's unexpected."
“Well, that’s really good news.” Siron waved his wand.
"The force is loosened and the energy is released."
The tangled shoelaces came undone, and Luna quickly ran a few steps to catch the falling shoe.
“Perhaps you could learn the Summoning Charm,” Siron said. “It’s a spell specifically used to find things, and it could solve these little problems you’re having right now.”
"It's okay, they'll show up eventually anyway." Luna, having put on her shoes, returned to Xiren's side.
She genuinely didn't care.
Xiren suddenly felt like laughing. That... maybe those people who stole Luna's shoes wanted to see her embarrassed, but they didn't expect Luna wouldn't be bothered by it at all.
What's even more interesting is that no matter where the shoes are hidden, Luna always manages to find them unexpectedly.
"That's amazing," Xilun muttered to himself.
"What did you say?" Luna turned to look at him.
“I mean, maybe you are the real Ravenclaw.”
“But I am Ravenclaw.” Luna blinked, somewhat confused.
She felt that Xilun was talking nonsense and couldn't help but look at his ears... How strange, why wasn't he bothering the horsefly?
“Of course, that’s right,” Celen said. “Are you going home for the Christmas holidays, or are you choosing to stay on campus?”
“I’m not going back,” Luna said.
“That’s great,” Siren laughed. “I mean, could I ask you to be my dance partner? I haven’t been able to find the right person.”
“Of course, no problem.” Luna thought for a moment and agreed.
Although she'd much rather spend her holiday searching for the harpoon in the castle, she wouldn't mind helping a friend with a small favor. Dancing... ever since she was bitten by a goblin as a child, she'd been endowed with a talent for it by goblin saliva—nothing could be simpler.
Watching Luna skip and hop away, disappearing around the corner at the end of the corridor, Xiren prepared to return to the common room.
It's just dancing, it should be...no problem, right?
……
In the last few days before the holiday, the school became more and more lively and noisy each day.
Perhaps to make a lasting impression on the students of Beauxbatons and Durmstrang, the school was decorated more beautifully and lavishly than ever before.
After one night, the castle ceiling seemed to have suddenly disappeared, thick snow was everywhere on the portraits and statues, and the marble stair railings were covered with crystal-clear icicles.
Of course, none of these will melt.
The auditorium still boasted twelve enormous Christmas trees, adorned with all sorts of trinkets. From glittering holly berries to the incessant chirping of golden owls, the festive atmosphere reached its peak.
Oh, and even their outer armor is enchanted; they sing Christmas carols whenever someone passes by.
This was a bit too much for them; by noon, Xilun had encountered three cases where they forgot the lyrics and two where they sang the wrong tune.
But these are minor issues, and they actually add a lot of fun.
In this atmosphere, people have lost interest in attending classes.
The professors didn't want to spoil everyone's good mood, so on the last day before the holiday, Professor Flitwick simply stopped lecturing and allowed everyone to play games in his class.
He himself spent most of his time chatting with Siren, discussing the special summoning spell he used in the first project.
“I never expected you to actually do it!” Professor Flitwick said in a shrill voice. “If you have any other thoughts, feel free to tell me. I also know a lot of uncommon and obscure spells.”
“I will,” Xiren nodded in agreement.
Professor Flitwick was indeed very knowledgeable about spells, but he already had ideas for his second project and didn't need to learn any more spells for the time being.
Charms class was followed by Potions class, but Snape wasn't as easy to talk to as Professor Flitwick.
In an effort to keep the students focused, he resorted to his old trick and decided to test their broad-spectrum antidote before the end of get out of class.
Although he had used this method more than once, it was undeniably effective. Everyone forgot about the holiday and stared intently at the crucible in front of them.
Neville and Harry, in particular, would have been far more likely to be chosen than anyone else if Snape had to poison one of them.
As expected, Snape ultimately chose Harry.
Fortunately, with Hermione's help, his broad-spectrum antidote worked perfectly.
Snape looked a little disappointed.
"He's so mean," Ron said angrily in the hallway after class. "I knew he'd pick you the moment he said that. That greasy old bat, I bet nobody invited him to the Christmas dance!"
“Yeah, who would invite him?” Harry said.
“Perhaps…” Ron suddenly thought of something interesting and said in a low voice, “The Weeping Myrtle is willing to go with him.”
The two immediately burst into laughter.
Moaning Myrtle is a ghost who always bursts into tears over the smallest things and is just as unpopular in the castle as Snape.
“If they’re both at the Christmas ball, I’ll definitely find a way to come back and watch.” Ron wiped away the tears of laughter from the corners of his eyes. “Even if I can’t come back, it’s okay, Fred and George will definitely record this wonderful moment.”
