Hogwarts: Don't call me Wandmaker

Chapter 352 Passionate Gryffindor

Chapter 352 Passionate Gryffindor

The disturbance last night lasted until the early hours of the morning, so much so that Xilun didn't wake up until almost nine o'clock the next morning.

But the excitement didn't seem to have completely subsided. When Xilun came downstairs to the common room, those who had eaten breakfast started cheering enthusiastically again.

People treated Siron as a hero, and they escorted him to the hall, the grand procession attracting a lot of attention.

“What’s so great about someone who became a Warrior by cheating?” Justin Finley muttered to himself at the entrance of the library on the second floor. “Seriously, the Warrior should be Cedric. He’s the one who best fits the requirements and is the right age.”

“Please don’t say that.” Another person came out of the library, and it was Cedric Diggory, whom he had just mentioned.

“Mr. Ollivander is just underage. The Goblet of Fire doesn’t cheat; it only chooses the most suitable person. Besides, I’m three years older than Mr. Ollivander, which gives me a significant advantage. So I accept this result wholeheartedly.”

Despite saying that, looking at Xilen surrounded by people below, he couldn't help but reveal a hint of envy in his eyes.

The Triwizard Tournament is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity; missing it would definitely be a regret.

But it's just a pity... As Cedric just said, he accepts the result wholeheartedly.

I turned around and went downstairs.

“Cedric, are you going back to your dorm?” Justin Finley asked.

“No, to the auditorium,” Cedric said. “I haven’t congratulated Ollivander yet.”

At the same time, Xilun was pushed to sit on the long table.

Normally classes would have already started by this time, but luckily it's the weekend, so even if I arrive a little late, I can still get something to eat.

Eating in front of a crowd of people... that feels really strange.

This is probably the first drawback that Xiren discovered after becoming a warrior... This situation is certainly not an isolated case, and he will probably have little personal time afterward.

Fortunately, it wasn't long before Celeste found a decent place to get rid of those energetic Gryffindors—the library.

Thanks to Mrs. Pince, as one of the three calamities of Hogwarts, although her reputation is not as resounding as Snape and Filch, she can still scare away many people, especially those in their fifth year and above.

Because Mrs. Pince has the right to refuse anyone entry to the library, and students in fifth grade and above will face two important exams: OWL (Ordinary Wizard Level Exam) and NEWT (Ultimate Wizard Level Exam).

If they are turned away by the library at this point, it will be difficult for them to find a quiet place to study and research.

This finally allowed Xilun a moment of peace.

“You should have expected this, shouldn’t you?” Hermione said, sitting down next to Mrs. Pince and using a stack of books to block her view. “If you win the championship again, I bet they’ll tear the ceiling off the Great Hall to celebrate.”

“That’s a bit of an exaggeration.” Xiren closed the book “Escape Guide to the Enchanted Forest” in his hand and replied in the same low voice, “Besides, the ceiling of the auditorium is enchanted and not so easy to remove.”

“I was just using a metaphor,” Hermione said.

"Hello, Siren Ollivander, congratulations on becoming a champion of Hogwarts."

Just then, another voice came from behind the book tower in front of the two men's table.

Xiren was startled and instinctively looked up at the spot where Mrs. Pince usually sat.

He had finally found a quiet place, and he didn't want to be kicked out because of a reckless person.

Thankfully, no one was there… Siren breathed a sigh of relief. “Don’t worry, Mrs. Pins went to find the book for me,” the man said again.

Xiren then noticed that there was an acquaintance standing opposite him.

Cedric Diggory used the same door key at Weasel Hill when he went to the Quidditch World Cup.

“I borrowed a rather rare book, which is on the innermost shelf. Mrs. Pince won’t be back for a few minutes,” Cedric said. “Congratulations on being chosen as a Hogwarts champion.”

“Thank you,” Siren said. “So you deliberately borrowed the book just to tell me all this?”

“Not entirely, I also happen to need that book,” Cedric said. “Actually, I wanted to find you this morning, but there were too many people around, and I couldn’t squeeze in.”

“Ah…they are indeed very hospitable,” Siron said, unable to help but think of the layers upon layers of Gryffindors surrounding him when he ate breakfast.

“I understand.” Cedric smiled.

He then promptly returned to the book lending area, and Mrs. Pince noticed nothing amiss when she returned.

To be honest, chatting like this is really exhausting... Siron felt he needed to find the old potions book Snape had left behind.

He remembered that the book contained a very useful little spell, which he could use now.

The Earplugs Spell is a magic spell to prevent eavesdropping. It creates an area where people outside can only hear a very faint buzzing sound when someone speaks inside.

The problem is, it's not that Siron hasn't looked before. Back in his first year, he used the excuse of looking for something to search through all the cabinets in the Potions classroom.

Forget about old books, there wasn't even a single piece of parchment with writing on it.

As for whether there are any other cabinets in the underground classroom... there should be, but Siren doesn't know exactly where they are, and Snape wouldn't let him go find them.

Perhaps this year's three-way battle for supremacy is a good opportunity.

……

The next day, Monday.

Since he had class today, Siron couldn't stay in the library any longer to find peace and quiet. Moreover, Siron discovered that Gryffindor wasn't the only one looking at him now.

Besides Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw from the other two houses also showed him great enthusiasm.

During the morning herb class, Professor Sprout asked him to transfer the bob bulbs from the tray to the pot.

This was a very easy step, much simpler than the mandrake in the second year, and Xilun naturally finished it quickly.

Professor Sprout then awarded Gryffindor twenty points.

Later, in the class on protecting magical creatures, he received ten extra points because he remembered the name of the blasting-tailed snail.

“It’s too obvious, Hagrid!” Cyren couldn’t help but say, “Even if you want to get extra points, you should at least come up with a plausible reason. Didn’t you notice that several Slytherins looked disgusted?”

"Really? I didn't see it..." Hagrid said nonchalantly. "But so what? If the Triwizard Tournament champions were in Slytherin, I would give them extra points too."
