Hogwarts: Don't call me Wandmaker
Chapter 323 Arrival at the Humble Abode
Chapter 323 Returning to the Humble Abode
The matter was over, but the Ministry of Magic was still handling the final cleanup. Taking advantage of this time, Mr. Weasley insisted that everyone get some more sleep.
For safety reasons, he also had Xilun and Lupin move here. Although the tent felt a bit cramped with two more people, everyone had been busy all night and no one paid attention to such a small matter. They fell asleep quickly.
Mr. Weasley and Mr. Lupin, the two adults, were not asleep. Despite their groggy heads, they volunteered to keep watch.
After sleeping for only a few hours, Xilun was woken up.
Mr. Weasley told them they could leave, as the Ministry of Magic was distributing Portkeys.
The group quickly dressed and went outside. Mr. Weasley used magic to pack up the tent and put it into his backpack, then led everyone away from the camp as fast as possible.
On the way, they also saw Mr. Roberts, who was standing at the door of the cottage, looking blank. When he saw them, he waved and said "Merry Christmas".
“He’ll be fine,” Mr. Weasley explained. “Sometimes when a person’s memory is altered, they become temporarily confused, especially when it’s something so important that he has to forget it.”
“Oh, I remember now!” Hari clapped his hands and turned to look at Xiren. “Didn’t you suggest that he should take his family and leave the camp before nightfall to go somewhere else?”
"If he had listened to your advice, perhaps he wouldn't have encountered that situation."
Ok?
Hearing Harry say that, everyone else looked at Siron.
“A little fortune-telling trick,” Xilun explained vaguely. “I saw his palm when I was giving him change.”
Everyone immediately understood, except Hermione, who frowned slightly.
She never thought of divination as a proper course, believing that arithmetic divination was the truly useful subject.
But now that Xilun is right, she has no idea how to refute him.
"You're also skilled in divination?" Bill asked in surprise. "How come I've never heard you mention it before?"
“I only know a little bit.” Celen gestured with his fingers. “But I can still manage to watch a Muggle.”
“It’s a shame he didn’t believe you,” Fred said.
“It’s no use,” Mr. Weasley said, shaking his head. “There are too many wizards gathered at this Quidditch World Cup, and it’s impossible to keep it completely secret when everyone is together. So the Reversal of Accidents team will cast a Forget Charm on Mr. Roberts every now and then.”
"So even if he believed Xilun's words at the time, as long as he didn't set off immediately, he would soon forget about it under the influence of magic."
As they spoke, they arrived at the place where the door key was kept, where a large crowd had gathered, making a fuss and wanting to leave as soon as possible.
Thanks to his connection with the door key keeper, Basil, Mr. Weasley managed to retrieve an old tire before dawn and used it to return to Weasel Hill.
Just as they arrived at the mountaintop, the sun had already risen.
The golden sunlight shone on the top of Weasel Mountain, as if gilding everything with a layer of gold.
Unfortunately, no one was in the mood to appreciate the beautiful scenery at that moment. Everyone hurried down the mountain and returned to their humble abode as quickly as possible.
Mrs. Weasley was waiting in the front yard early on, and she breathed a sigh of relief when she saw them.
"Oh, thank God, thank God!"
Mrs. Weasley rushed over, clutching a copy of the Daily Prophet in her hand.
The front page of the newspaper featured a huge photograph of the Black Demon Mark suspended in mid-air.
He really has great powers.
Xilun clicked his tongue. Only a few hours after the Black Magic Mark appeared, they had already published the relevant information in the newspapers and distributed it.
It's amazing how efficient British wizards have become.
Then Celen noticed a name next to the photo: Rita Skeeter... Well, without even looking, he knew the content wasn't anything nice.
Mrs. Weasley then led everyone back to the Burrow and hastily prepared a simple but delicious breakfast.
After going through so much, everyone was on edge. Now that they've relaxed, they're all hungry, so they've all started eating big chunks of marinated beef sandwiches and oatmeal porridge.
Before breakfast was even finished, the humble abode welcomed another unexpected guest.
When Siron saw his grandfather, Garrick Ollivander, appear outside the door, he thought he was seeing things.
“I told him,” Mr. Weasley said. “With such a big incident, I’m sure Mr. Ollivander is very worried about your safety.”
"Thank you, Arthur," Garrick said, tacitly acknowledging his words.
He was indeed startled when he saw the Daily Prophet, but fortunately, he soon received a letter from Mr. Weasley through the Ministry of Magic.
The letter said that Siren was fine and was with them, and also specified the approximate time they would return to the Burrow.
So Garrick arrived at the village of Saint Cachipol at the earliest time mentioned in the letter, just as Siron had finished breakfast.
“Oh, we’d like to stay with you a few more days,” Fred said quietly.
Because of what happened at the camp, Mrs. Weasley never mentioned the "Magic Tricks House" again after returning, and the two of them escaped a disaster, which can be considered a blessing in disguise.
“It’s alright.” Xiren smiled and said, “School starts soon, and you’ll all be coming to Diagon Alley to buy things anyway. See you then.”
"Okay, see you then."
Xilun waved his hand, got up, and walked out of the humble dwelling.
Since Garrick has come, he will definitely go back with him.
Everyone else in the room followed suit and came out, watching as Celen reached out and grabbed Garrick's arm.
“How are they going to get back to Diagon Alley? Isn’t the fireplace in the kitchen?” Harry asked, puzzled.
“Only FlooNet uses fireplaces,” Ron explained. “But they’ll definitely be Apparating.”
Apparition?
Before Harry could even ask, he heard a loud explosion, and Mr. Ollivander and Siron vanished before his very eyes.
“What, haven’t you ever seen Apparition?” Ron continued to ask.
“No, I have seen it,” Harry said.
After someone conjured up that so-called Dark Mark, the Aurors and Strikers from the Ministry of Magic just appeared out of thin air nearby.
Even earlier, Bill, Charlie, and Percy also got to the camp this way, not with a door key.
“But Ron, didn’t Percy say that only adult wizards can learn Apparition? Why does Celen know this magic too?”
“Sirlen…” Ron paused, then blinked. “Would he…?”
“He just disappeared too,” Harry said.
“Ah, that’s Apparition.” Ron shook his head. “Apparition can take someone with you, but only if that person learns Apparition. This spell is much simpler than Apparition, and it has no restrictions; you can learn it anytime.”
