Hogwarts: Don't call me Wandmaker

Chapter 232 Papers and Advertisements

Chapter 232 Papers and Advertisements

The Quidditch match is over... Gryffindor defeated Ravenclaw with an absolute advantage of 230:10, completely reversing their previous defeat to Slytherin!
A deafening roar of cheers erupted from the stands, with almost everyone chanting Harry's name as if he were the true savior at that moment.

"That was amazing! Absolutely amazing!" Ron exclaimed as he squeezed through the crowd, mimicking Harry's actions when he finally caught the Golden Snitch.

"Did you see that? That's the classic move of the Chadri Artillery... Oh, Siron, were you waiting for us?"

As soon as he stepped out of the Quidditch pitch, he saw Siren outside.

“Of course,” Siren said. “Hurry up, I just heard there’s going to be a banquet in the common room, right now.”

Upon hearing about the banquet, Ron's eyes immediately lit up, and he unconsciously quickened his pace.

"You came out really fast," he said casually. "There were so many people, I felt like my breakfast was about to be squeezed out."

“After all, I was in the outermost position, which is closer to the exit,” Celen said. “And I came out before Harry caught the Golden Snitch, so it wasn’t crowded at all.”

“That’s great,” Seamus said. “But I still think it’s more important to watch the game up close, even if it’s a bit crowded when we leave.”

The group returned to the castle without anyone noticing that Siren had left midway through the match and hadn't even watched the entire game.

Back in the Gryffindor common room, it got even livelier.

They acted as if they had already won the Quidditch Cup, and the party lasted all day and continued late into the night. Only when an exasperated Professor McGonagall walked in through the corridor in her mesh pajamas did everyone reluctantly disperse and return to their dormitories.

Xilun lay on the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling above him.

If he hadn't found Sirius today, he would probably have already barged into the Gryffindor common room. If anyone saw him, they probably wouldn't be able to get a good night's sleep.

With that thought in mind, Xilun slowly fell asleep.

……

The next day, the Gryffindor students were still basking in the joy of winning the competition, and this feeling lasted until Monday, when they had Potions class.

Snape seemed to be deliberately picking a fight; in just half a class, he deducted nearly thirty points from Gryffindor for all sorts of absurd reasons.

His voice was like a bucket of ice water poured over them, instantly sobering all the Gryffindors up and causing them to wipe the smiles off their faces.

Even so, after the class, Gryffindor's hourglass was more than fifty points short.

“He did it on purpose, because our score is already two hundred points higher than Slytherin’s.” Ron said angrily as he walked out of the classroom. “He knows that Slytherin can no longer surpass us, so he wanted to vent his anger in this way.”

“I know!” Harry said, equally furious, since he accounted for 35 of the 50 points deducted.

"If he's like this again next class, I'm going to talk to Professor McGonagall!"

Actually, there's no need for a next time; someone has already gone to Professor McGonagall.

But Professor McGonagall didn't have a particularly good solution to Snape's behavior of randomly deducting points.

The points that had already been deducted could not be added back, and given her personality, she wouldn't intentionally help Gryffindor gain points. She could only exchange a few words with Snape during lunch.

After that, the matter was dropped.

What Siron was most looking forward to was the Defense Against the Dark Arts class. During the class, he kept secretly observing Professor Lupin, but he didn't notice anything unusual on his face.

It seems Sirius hasn't gone to find him yet.

Is it because of self-esteem?
Still don't know how to say it?
Xilun didn't care; all he could think about was how to promote his wand.

First of all, the Hogwarts market is already nearly saturated. Students don't have much pocket money to begin with, and a second wand isn't really a necessity... unless Sirius suddenly goes crazy and rushes into the castle, breaking everyone's wands.

Unfortunately, Sirius Black certainly wouldn't do that. As for the professors... apart from Professor McGonagall and Professor Flitwick, the others don't seem to have any particular requirements for wands.

Professor Sprout is passionate about magical plants; for her, shovels and dragon manure are more important than wands.

Needless to say, Snape's wand was nothing more than a stirring rod for brewing potions, except in battle.

And then there's Professor Sinister, whose mind is full of celestial bodies and the starry sky.

Professor Babling is elusive; you can't see her anywhere except when it's time for class.

Professor Trelawney also doesn't use her wand much.

The professor of Divination and Muggle Studies... He wasn't familiar with Celen.

Hagrid already has a wand that he made.

……

As for Professor Lupin and the Ghost Professor of the History of Magic... we can just ignore them.

With that in mind, Xilun could only focus on the "Today's Metamorphosis" ad slot and start working on that paper.

For the past few days, he has been looking for related books in the library. However, while there are many books on Transfiguration, there are very few on wands.

Wandology is not a popular magic book, and there are not many books on it. Books related to Transfiguration are even rarer. Even the administrator, Mrs. Pince, could not provide a book that met Siron's requirements.

With no other option, Xilun could only gradually refine the content of his paper based on some slightly related books and magazines, along with his own understanding.

At that moment, he seemed to have returned to his second year of high school, and even the people who came to the library with him had not changed.

Hermione's mood has become increasingly agitated lately, to the point that Siren thinks she's starting to become hysterical.

When Celen arrived, she was sitting in a corner engrossed in reading a large book called "Domestic Life and Social Habits of British Muggles," which was nearly seven hundred pages long.

When Xilun finished her research and was about to leave, she was still reading the book, and she was even taking notes as she read.

“You’re taking on too much.” Finally, one day, Celeste couldn’t help but say to Hermione, “Maybe you could give up some of these things and you wouldn’t be so stressed anymore, like Muggle research.”

"Honestly, this course isn't as important as you think, especially since you're a wizard from a Muggle family."

“I know, but I can’t,” Hermione said, struggling to lift her head from a pile of open books. “I chose this course, so there’s no way I can give up halfway through.”

"You... wait a minute." Just as Xilun was about to say something, he suddenly noticed an open book next to him, a potions book.

"The method for making wolfsbane medicine... Why are you still looking at this? It's not something a third grader should be learning."

“I think this is because of Lupin…” Hermione suddenly stopped talking, her expression turning somewhat annoyed, as if she realized she had said the wrong thing.

But she quickly recovered and continued, "It's because Professor Lupin told me that this potion is very helpful for werewolves, so I wanted to try it again."

“Is that so?” Xiren said.

It seems Hermione has discovered Lupin's werewolf identity, but for some reason, she hasn't revealed it to anyone, not even Harry and the others.

“Don’t push yourself too hard, this potion is very difficult to make.” Xiren smiled. “Besides, we won’t encounter any werewolves at the school.”

“I know,” Hermione said.
