Hogwarts: Don't call me Wandmaker
Chapter 192 0.5 for 1
Chapter 192 One for Half
When Xilun woke up again, it was already the next morning. In his dazed state, he seemed to hear someone talking next to him.
Siren struggled to open his eyes and realized it was Professor McGonagall and Mrs. Pomfrey.
"Oh, you're awake?" Madam Pomfrey was the first to notice Siren's change and immediately came over, asking, "How are you feeling?"
"I feel dizzy and have no energy at all," Xilen said, her voice dry and hoarse.
“Dizziness is normal.” Mrs. Pomfrey picked up a bottle from the bedside table and poured a full glass of light blue medicine from it.
"Drink it all." She handed the cup to Xilun. "I've never seen such a reckless student as you, actually using up all your magic."
"What are you thinking?" she said, getting angrier as she spoke. "Even if you were tired from wandering around Hogsmeade, you knew to rest at the Three Broomsticks. How come you didn't remember that after you got the wand..."
Xilun didn't say anything, but simply took the potion and drank it all in one gulp.
The key point is that he didn't want it to be like this. It was just a sudden idea to test what effect the [Snake Eyes] would have on wizards. Who knew that the magic power in his body would suddenly become uncontrollable and pour out like a flood.
Fortunately, the result was not bad. Sirius was petrified, which was something Sirius did not expect at all, and it was an unexpected surprise.
……
“Bobby, Sirius Black really went head-to-head with him,” Professor McGonagall said, approaching with lingering fear. “He must have gone through an unimaginable battle; it’s a miracle he’s still alive!”
"Sirius Black..." Upon hearing this name, Mrs. Pomfrey instinctively clutched her chest.
She simply couldn't accept that such a dangerous criminal would appear at the school. What were those Dementors guarding outside doing? Camping?
After that, she stopped criticizing Xilun.
Professor McGonagall was right; it was already a miracle they survived encountering Sirius Black.
As for the magic problem, that's too easy... After drinking the potion and resting for a few days, I'll be fully recovered and won't even miss class tomorrow.
After that, Madam Pomfrey went to prepare new potions, and Professor McGonagall asked Siron a few more questions before leaving the hospital to find Dumbledore.
Xilun looked at the empty room and slowly moved his body upwards so that he could sit up against the headboard.
He rubbed his forehead, recalling the battle that had taken place in the eighth-floor corridor yesterday.
To be honest, there was absolutely no suspense in this battle.
For most wizards, losing their wand makes them no different from Muggles... Sirius Black is a little better than a Muggle, as he can turn into a dog, but that's about it.
Therefore, Sirius Black, without his wand, is no match for Sirius, since his Horcrux contains not only knockback spells, but also stun and binding spells.
The reason it turned out this way was entirely because Siron had a sudden inspiration and wanted to see what the effect would be if he used [Snake Eyes] on a wizard whose magic power far surpassed his own.
To be honest, Sirius, who is only in his third year, certainly doesn't have as much magic as an adult wizard, not to mention that Sirius was once one of the best wizards among his peers.
Even though he had been tormented by Azkaban's Dementors for over a decade, which had diminished his magical power, he was still far superior to a novice wizard who hadn't even graduated yet...
Even so, Sirius was petrified in a very short time, without even having time to resist.
Although Xilun also fainted on the spot due to the depletion of a large amount of magic power, the cost was completely within acceptable limits compared to the outcome.
If Sirius Black is fine, what if it were Snape instead?
Snape was probably a bit stronger than Sirius Black after his escape, but not by much.
If Sirius could petrify Sirius, it means he could most likely petrify Snape as well, a one-for-one trade... well, not exactly a one-for-one trade.
He just fainted and will wake up once his magic power recovers, but the petrification caused by [Snake Eyes] won't be so easy to remove.
More importantly, he's only in third grade, and it's only been a few months since he got the [Snake Eyes]. If he gets used to it later, he might not even need to faint.
Once he graduates, he might even be able to replace Dumbledore...
"It seems you're recovering well, that puts my mind at ease." Just as I was thinking this, a gentle voice came from beside me.
Dumbledore walked in and naturally sat down on the edge of Sirius's bed.
"What were you thinking about just now?" he asked with a smile.
“It’s nothing, I just feel very fortunate,” Xilun said.
He certainly couldn't tell Dumbledore the truth, and he highly doubted whether the Snake Eyes would actually work on wizards like Dumbledore and Voldemort.
“Ah, you are indeed very lucky.” Dumbledore looked at Shiron with his blue eyes. “Black is one of the most vicious criminals. He once killed twelve Muggles with a single curse.”
"If it's convenient, could you please tell us what happened? How exactly did you drive Blake away in front of the portrait of the fat lady on the eighth floor?"
“I…I don’t know,” Xiren said, frowning.
“It’s alright, let’s recall it bit by bit,” Dumbledore said patiently. “First, why did you leave the banquet early? Did you find the ghost performance this year uninteresting?”
“No…” Siren shook his head. “I mean, I’ve seen something similar, at last year’s Halloween party for Nick Fury’s 500th birthday.”
“I see,” Dumbledore said.
"So I wanted to go back to my dorm early and finish the remaining unfinished wand."
“Hmm, I understand.” Dumbledore nodded. “So, where did you meet Sirius Black?”
“In front of the portrait of the Fat Lady,” Siron said. “I heard the Fat Lady screaming, and when I got there, I saw a ragged man tearing at the Fat Lady’s canvas.”
"That person is Sirius Black? You recognize him?"
"Yes, I've seen his picture countless times in The Daily Prophet."
"And then?" Dumbledore continued to ask.
“I wanted to preserve evidence, so I took a picture of Sirius Black. When he saw it, he lunged at me, and I instinctively cast a spell on him,” Sirius said.
"What kind of magic is it?" Dumbledore's eyes flickered. "A knockback spell? Or a stun spell?"
“I remember Professor Flitwick taught you the Stunning Charm at the Duel Club last year, didn’t he?”
“Yes, he taught me,” Siren said, “but I used a different kind of magic.”
As he spoke, he took out a wand with golden patterns and waved it gently.
"Silver Mane Starfall!"
A blue unicorn leaped from the tip of the staff and landed in the middle of the empty room.
“Oh…” Professor McGonagall covered her mouth.
Dumbledore also subconsciously took off his glasses, wiped them vigorously on his sleeve, and put them back on.
"I see," he said in surprise. "So the unicorn's spirit we saw last year was actually magic you created?"
When the basilisk first appeared last year, they had seen the unicorn's soul, but at the time no one thought it was magic.
"Hmm, I guess so." Xilun pondered for a moment and nodded.
He created this wand, and summoning the soul of a unicorn is a magic specific to the wand. So, it wouldn't be wrong to say that he created the magic himself.
