Chapter 140 The Termite Kingdom

Chapter 140 The Termite Kingdom (Part Two)

The two islands of Saluo run in an east-west direction.

Mount Sikui is located at the easternmost point of the island.

Ivory Island is located to the west of the two islands of Sala, separated by a strait 400 kilometers apart.

Jin followed behind Lord Famu, running and traveling westward along the Haimeng Mountains.

After a day and half a night, we finally arrived at Shuiye Peak, the westernmost point of the mountain range.

We stayed overnight at Shuiye Peak and rested for half a night.
They set off the next morning, continuing westward.

After descending the mountain and passing through the vast rainforest, ahead lies a muddy tidal flat, a shallow pool covered with mangroves.

Jin then asked, puzzled, "Lord Famu, how do we cross the sea without a ship?"

"Charge straight there!"

Lord Famu stretched out his leg and said, "Jin, come up onto my back armor."

"……it is good."

Jin climbed onto the back armor of the Famu Lord.

"The divinely bestowed Famu Zi ate a lot, which allowed him to reach the pinnacle of control over his original power, giving rise to some minor techniques for applying power beyond his original abilities..."

As Lord Famu explained, the primal energy within his body flowed and converged at the tips of his eight spider legs, condensing into an invisible cone-shaped barrier.

Lord Famu took a run and charged straight toward the mudflats ahead, leaving a long trail of footprints in the soft silt.

With its eight spider legs moving swiftly, it rushed into the sea and walked on the water.

Jin had never quite understood how the Lord of Mount Sikui hunted at sea, but now he finally did.

There was also the incident on Ivory Island last time. Lord Famu was clearly at Sikui Mountain, but ended up at Wuchao Mountain ahead of schedule.

Jin had always thought there were other ships, but it turned out there weren't; the method was surprisingly simple and brutal.

...

The sun was scorching hot.

A hot wind carrying a strong fishy smell swept past.

The coastline behind me gradually became a line and finally disappeared from sight.

We will depart in the afternoon.

As dusk approached, the coastline of Ivory Island began to emerge.

Speeding to land.

Lord Famu shook himself.

Jin landed with a leap.

Lord Famu slowly recounted:
"The Nature Pantheon has 100,000 insectoids, but the probability of an ordinary insectoid leaping into Force and evolving into a Force Warrior is too low. Those small tribes composed of a few insects, a dozen insects, or even a few dozen insects may very well become extinct because of bad luck, failing to produce new Force Warriors for many consecutive years."

"Tribes with fewer than 100 insect populations are all small tribes that have failed to escape the danger of extinction."

"A tribe with a population of over 100 can pass on its lineage relatively stably and can be considered a medium-sized tribe."

"A tribe with more than 300 insects can usually concentrate its resources to support at least one insect king. Under the protection of the insect king, the tribe can be passed down stably if there are no accidents, and can be considered a large tribe."

"Our Flame Spider tribe, with as many as six Spider Kings and a population of over a thousand, is a super-powerful clan. It is rare even in the Southern Continent, and there is none on Ivory Island."

"The Kingdom of Ivory Island is mainly composed of seven major tribes: the Red Banana Arrow Mantis Tribe, the Two-Colored Cockroach Tribe, the Three-Leaf Red Firefly Tribe, the Six-Section Stag Beetle Tribe, the Great Poison Beetle Tribe, the Small Tiger Beetle Tribe, and the Crow's Nest Mountain Comb-Horned Longhorn Beetle Tribe, which you and Yin visited last time."

"The total insect population of the Ivory Island Kingdom is only five or six thousand, of which three thousand belong to the seven major tribes, accounting for more than half of the kingdom's total insect population. The trade with the Southern Continent is also organized and participated in by the seven major tribes. The seven major tribes consume 5% of the premium on the Force food brought back from the trade, which enables them to continue to develop and grow stronger."

"The others are small and medium-sized tribes with dozens or hundreds of insects, and many small tribes with only a few or a dozen insects, whose lineage will be interrupted if they are unlucky."

"The Kingdom of Ivory Island and the Kingdom of Flame Spider have joined forces and are traveling together on a ship to the southern continent for trade. I was involved in the trade and got to know many warriors from the seven major tribes. Jin, all I can do for you is to smooth things over between the seven major tribes; the rest is up to you."

"From what I've observed, you and Silver were exceptionally clever and lively even when you were just ordinary Flame Spiders. I suppose this shouldn't be a difficult task for you."

Upon reaching the shore, Lord Famu gave a brief introduction, then pointed with his paw and said:
"This is the central part of Ivory Island. If we go forward, about 120 kilometers ahead is the territory of the Red Banana Arrow Mantis tribe of Suoyu Mountain. However, we are not in a hurry to visit it. Let's go to Apple Mountain first."

"Ok!"

Jin agreed.

Lord Famu led the way.

The primeval rainforest without roads.

Two spiders, one large and one small, one in front and one behind, charged through the dense forest, climbed cliffs, traversed mountains, and sped across swamps and rivers, heading straight north. The sun set, and night fell.
They traveled through the night.

Dawn broke.

Near the northeastern tip of the island, Lord Famu stopped and told Jin to rest.

At noon, we set off again and soon saw neatly cultivated woodlands.

On the hilltop, there are termite soldiers with sharp, pointed mandibles, reddish-brown heads, and blackish-brown abdomens and thoraxes standing guard and patrolling.

In the forest, small and agile termite nymphs and worker ants, ranging in length from ten to twenty or thirty centimeters to one or two meters, are busy at work.

Ahead lies the forest managed by the kingdom of red-headed termites.

"Jin, stop for a moment."

Lord Famu, stop here.

The soldier ants on the hilltop simultaneously spotted the traces of Lord Jin and Lord Famu. The ant colony became agitated, and nearby soldier ants quickly gathered, forming multiple ant armies, one to the east and one to the west, secretly forming a pincer movement to encircle them.

However, no action was taken; instead, they remained in a state of poised preparation.

The flame spider's keen hearing and sense of smell allow it to faintly hear regular electromagnetic fluctuations and detect pheromones permeating the forest.

After waiting for quite a while,
High in the sky, a dragonfly with a wingspan of over four meters swiftly approached, hovered to observe, descended vertically, and hovered a hundred meters away, twenty or thirty meters above the ground, making eye contact with Lord Famu and Jin.

It has large, bluish-yellow compound eyes, a jet-black carapace, bluish-yellow markings on its breastplate, and rings of bluish-yellow on its abdomen.

Its transparent, pulsed wings were imbued with a pale bluish-yellow hue of wind-elemental energy. This wind-elemental energy allowed it to maintain its hovering position without flapping its wings.

"A warrior from the Flame Spider Kingdom?"

"The Flame Spider Kingdom, under the command of the Wood Spider King, Purple Sandalwood Peak, Lord of the Magic Wood."

"Oh! The Spider King..."

Upon hearing the name 'Spider King,' the Dragonfly Warrior instantly became much more timid. He cautiously withdrew his spiritual power, glanced at Jin, and politely inquired:
"This purple Flame Spider Warrior must be 'Gold,' the lightning-type mutated warrior who has become quite famous in the Flame Spider Kingdom in recent years?"

"it's me."

Jin replied, asking, "Have you heard of me?"

"Of course! In recent years, you've contributed to most of the major new events on the Twin Islands of Sal and Ivory Island. Many insects are talking about you."

The dragonfly warrior asked politely, "Lord Famu, Jin, aren't you just passing through Apple Mountain?"

Lord Famu countered, "You are a warrior of the Great Dragonfly Tribe, and your name is 'Great Wind,' right?"

"Yes……"

Startled, Da Feng quickly thought, realizing he hadn't offended the Flame Spider, or even had any contact with it, and asked in confusion, "Lord Famu, do you know me?"

"The Midnight Lord of the Horned Longhorn Beetle tribe mentioned you to me..."

Lord Famu, observing the wind's reaction, changed his question and asked, "Do you know Lord Midnight?"

"I don't recognize you."

Da Feng seemed a little confused and said, "However, I know the Purple Wind Mountain Lord of the Comb Horned Longhorn Beetle tribe. He has a Purple-flowered Wind Trumpet Tree, a divinely bestowed seed. We can talk to each other and have a good relationship."

"..."

Lord Famu pondered for two seconds and said, "That means Lord Ziye learned about you from Lord Zifeng and then informed me."

Lord Famu said directly, "I have important business to discuss with the Queen Cluster Ant and the King Secret Order Ant. Also, I want to seek your cooperation."

"Cooperation? Contact me?"

He remained vigilant, declaring, "I only do reconnaissance work; I don't do dangerous things."

"Don't worry, there's no danger."

Lord Famu said, "We invite you to join us in making some trade related to divinely bestowed food. We will pay you with divinely bestowed food. Take us to see the Secret Order Ant King, and we will discuss the details there."

Divine Force food trade?

Paying with food given by God using the Force?
"it is good!"

"Just a moment."

The strong wind confused it for two seconds, then it shook its wings and vanished rapidly as a blur of green and yellow.
