Chapter 248 Guanyin Sends a Child
On this day, in Daojun Medical Hall, the divine physician Daojun was leading the group of guardian immortals of the medical hall to welcome Guanyin Bodhisattva.

"Greetings, Guanyin Bodhisattva!"

"Daoist Master, this humble monk greets you."

Amidst the welcoming presence of the gods, Guanyin Bodhisattva, carrying a bamboo basket, and the divine physician Daojun exchanged greetings before entering the main hall and taking their seats at the wooden table.

Guanyin Bodhisattva looked around, nodded slowly, and praised:

"I had long heard that Daojun spread his medical skills to the four continents and was worshipped by many physicians and doctors. He has done great good for the world. Now that I have seen him, he is indeed extraordinary."

To outsiders, this clinic was merely somewhat large, with everything else appearing normal. However, in the eyes of Guanyin Bodhisattva, this place was blessed with outstanding people and auspicious energy, possessing a divine aura and the fortune of the medical profession, making it the most likely place to produce renowned doctors.

This Daoist is indeed remarkable, but in the eyes of Guanyin Bodhisattva, his greatest strength lies in his willingness to painstakingly develop the wisdom of the world, open medical clinics, and never hoard medical books. Instead, he often encourages people to discuss and teaches them to think.

Even after these doctors leave this clinic, they will continue to improve, and may even drive the continuous improvement of medical skills in the clinic and in the world.

This is far more effective and requires far more effort than simply spreading miraculous medical texts; this person truly possesses great compassion and merit.
The Bodhisattva sighed inwardly. After all, when she first learned of this being, she was very optimistic about him, but in the end, the Xuanmen sect beat her to it.

If this person could enter her Buddhist order, with her talent for 'saving all sentient beings' and her calm temperament, and cultivate the Mahayana Buddhist teachings, she should rightfully have a place among the Buddhas of Mount Ling.

Daojun smiled and said:
"I suppose even the Bodhisattva knows that it takes a lot of time to train a good doctor in the human world, and it also depends a lot on talent."

"This medical skill, after all, cannot cure everything."

"But regardless, since His Majesty the Jade Emperor has appointed me to this position, I will naturally do my best."

Guanyin Bodhisattva shook her head slightly, her gaze turning to the many celestial officials outside.

"You are too modest, Daoist. In my opinion, your actions are indeed compassionate. Since Shennong, one of the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors, only you have brought about such a tremendous change in human medicine and physicians."

The Divine Physician Daoist shook his head repeatedly and said:
"Bodhisattva, you flatter me. How could I dare to compare myself to Shennong?"

"Speaking of which, did the Bodhisattva come here this time because the true spirit of Elder Jin Chan has returned to its rightful place?"

Guanyin Bodhisattva nodded, placed the bamboo basket in her hand on the table, and smiled:
"Indeed, Daoist Master, please take a look~"

Daojun looked closely and saw that the bamboo basket was shrouded in mist, and its interior seemed to be extremely vast and contain a different world. As the Bodhisattva pointed his finger, a golden cicada that was resting on a big tree and whose body was wrapped in Zen and Buddhist nature appeared before Daojun.

Daojun nodded slightly, thinking to himself that this must be Jin Chanzi.

"The Bodhisattva now has a candidate to send this Elder Jin Chan to be reincarnated."

"Of course there is."

“The Buddha has decreed that his father should be Chen Ming’e, courtesy name Guangrui, from Changping, Chenjun, who is the top scholar in the imperial examination. His mother is Yin Wenjiao, the daughter of Yin Kaishan, a prominent family in Changping.”

"Recently, Chen Guangrui, following the emperor's order, took his mother and wife to Jiangzhou to assume the post of governor. However, on the way, he encountered river pirates at the Hongzhou ferry. He was killed by a river pirate named Liu Hong, who took his wife and identity and went to Jiangzhou to assume his post."

"His mother was old and fell ill halfway through the journey due to the long journey. Chen Guangrui left her there to rest, which is how she escaped this calamity." "Now, this humble monk is on his way to deliver a child to Yin Wenjiao."

Daojun nodded slightly, understanding in his heart.

It was the third year of Emperor Yang of Sui's reign. The emperor was digging the Grand Canal, which was a huge drain on the people's resources. A sudden drought caused widespread famine and hardship, and the people were suffering. Chaos was rampant in various places. Chen Guangrui was killed under these circumstances.

Speaking of which, some children at Daojun Medical Clinic have also recently become quite depressed.

His Daojun Medical Clinic is now the holy land of medicine in the world. Everyone knows about his clinic. Even the imperial physicians from the Imperial Medical Academy have to bow and listen attentively when they come. They dare not be disrespectful in the slightest. It is relied upon by many high-ranking officials and the current emperor.

After all, who can guarantee they won't have a headache or fever, especially in such a chaotic age?

However, it would be fine if Daojun Medical Clinic only served high-ranking officials and dignitaries, but since its establishment, Daojun Medical Clinic's philosophy has never changed.

All members of the medical school, upon completing their medical studies, are required to serve as itinerant doctors for five years. This is the belief and pride of all members of the medical school, and it will not change because of anything.

But in this year of famine, what good is the best medical skill? Most people in this world are starving to death.
One of his disciples once told him that this was the first time he had given up on saving his patient, simply because if he had saved him, the person would have run out of tree bark to eat and would have been left to suffer and wait for death again.
They could only watch as people died one by one in agony and despair. They were doctors, but they could not heal this country, this great Sui Dynasty.
Daojun shook his head slightly. There was nothing that could be done about this. They, as immortals, had seen many similar things over the past few hundred years, but those children had not yet experienced this. Moreover, this was their 'home,' and they could only rely on themselves.

Although Guanyin Bodhisattva didn't know what the Daoist Master before her had been thinking for a moment, she had noticed the fleeting look of compassion in his eyes, and couldn't help but nod slightly.
"Daojun is indeed a man of great compassion and magnanimity. If you have any free time in the future, please do visit my Lingshan. This is also an invitation from the Buddha Tathagata."

"Thank you for your high regard, Bodhisattva and Buddha. I will definitely visit you when I have free time in the future."

Daojun agreed to the matter. Over the years, he had come into contact with many people from the Buddhist community. Although their paths were different, most of them were people who cared about the world and were virtuous and talented. They were also on the right path in the world.

As for the timing, it would be best to deal with that Golden-Winged Roc before that happens.

Daojun chatted with Guanyin Bodhisattva for a while, and the Bodhisattva calculated with her fingers that it was almost time for Yin Wenjiao's child to be born.

The two walked out of the main hall and courtyard together, only to see the Daoist Lord beckon with his hand to two small white flowers growing side by side from a crack in the ground, each with a jade-green stem.

As the Daoist Lord channeled his magical power, amidst the flashing golden light, the small flower transformed into a pair of white and green bracelets.

When Guanyin Bodhisattva saw this scene, she understood Daojun's intention and nodded slightly with a smile.

"Daoist Lord, you are truly skilled."

"Bodhisattva, please~"

"Please~"

Guanyin Bodhisattva and Daojun rode the clouds and mist all the way to the Jiangzhou Prefecture Government Office.

A golden light flew swiftly from the bamboo basket in Guanyin Bodhisattva's hand and landed in a room. She opened and closed her lips and uttered a few words.

Daojun also threw down a pair of bracelets, which turned into white light and entered the room, telling Yin Wenjiao that the bracelets were for protection.
