Chapter 457 Shedding and Limits

Chapter 457 Shedding and Limits

The earth trembled, and all sorts of strangely shaped mushrooms sprouted from the ground and grew rapidly. In the blink of an eye, Ruger found himself in a dense forest of colorful mushrooms.

The environment here is very favorable to the other party.

The trembling earth looked intimidating and was not something that could be easily accomplished. In reality, the other party had simply produced some mushrooms. The sticky ground that had accumulated over the years was like a felt mat, and it was the sudden appearance of mushrooms that disturbed it.

Ruger was determined to defeat his opponent, but the fact that his opponent was able to break free also gave him a strange sense of excitement.

The colorful mushrooms that had been blocking his view suddenly began to wither, and the witch's figure reappeared in his field of vision. First and foremost were her bright, cold eyes. She was still tightly clutching her shield, and the miserable state of her body caused by the fireball spell was rapidly recovering.

The moment she saw Luger, the witch avoided his gaze and cautiously hid behind the shield that was groaning in pain.

Ruger instinctively felt that this guy, or rather this group of wizards, was more troublesome than the two he had encountered on the island.

Ruger was even more curious about where they came from.

Gray bullets condensed in his hand, spinning and flying toward the witch, while his tall, thin shield played high notes and then low notes.

The two chased each other through the dense forest, a chase that seemed to last a long time, but in reality, it was only a matter of two breaths.

Once the witch recovered to the point where she could move around more effectively, the colorful mushroom forest stopped withering and began to grow lush and green again.

Ruger estimated in her mind, while putting herself in his shoes. Last time she was hit by seven gray bullets, she knew that once hit by this thing, she would lose the ability to resist, so she was extra careful. But it was precisely because she was hit by the gray bullets first and then covered by his foul-smelling skin that she did not know the range of the foul-smelling skin spell.

This might be an opportunity.

There are two possible outcomes, or strategies, between them: one is for them to fight each other to determine a winner, and the other is to stall for time until the third-ring wizards on the other side decide who is superior, at which point their situation will naturally be resolved.

But Ruger didn't want it to be this way. In the few times he made eye contact with the witch, he judged from her eyes that she thought the same way. In this respect, they were the same kind of people. They wanted to decide the winner first and not hand their fate over to others. If things didn't go well for the Third Ring Wizard, they could prepare to escape.

So don't be obsessed with chasing after them; their delays may just be a cover-up.

Ruger suddenly turned around and rushed out of the strange mushroom forest.

Even with the help of the environment, the wonders created by the first-ring wizard are ultimately limited. Ruger quickly rushed out of the dense, colorful mushroom forest.

Sure enough, the witch who had been circling around him did not take the opportunity to escape.

Wave!
One person stood outside, and another stood at the edge of the dense mushroom forest.

The moment Ruger saw her, there was a sound like a bubble bursting.

With that sound, countless black mushrooms began to sprout from all over Luger's body. In an instant, Luger felt as if he were being devoured. That abnormal life force flowed through his body and continued to increase. He held his breath in the dense mushroom forest, but he was still tainted by many things he couldn't see or understand. The mushrooms seemed to be growing and merging, as if he would turn into a large, blood-soaked black mushroom in the next moment. This was a warning from his life instinct.

As Ruger fired the gray bullet, he stomped his foot, and all the hair on his body seemed to receive a command, detaching from his body and leaving him, making him appear to have grown larger, but in reality it was just a layer of loose hair.

Another ability of the fur herder is that even if the fur detaches from the body, the shed fur will not die, but will continue to grow and can be controlled by the fur herder.

It wasn't just the layer of hair that was shed; it was the black, rapidly growing mushroom-like outer layer that was removed.

The witch once again used her dying companion to block the gray bullets, seemed to sigh, and stepped out of the mushroom forest.

She still had many horrific scars on her body and face. As she walked out of the mushroom forest, she was still looking at the fireball spell that Ruger was continuously converging in his hand.

The two exchanged blows in the span of five or six breaths, but the fireball spell appeared quite solid and much larger than a normal fireball. The fur on Ruger's body seemed to be shaking, as if it were shaking off dust, and even spontaneously helping him remove some mushrooms that hadn't been taken away and other small, unwanted objects.

"I hate shedding."

As Ruger spoke, his hands never stopped moving.

He was also very interested to see if the gray bullets were actually lethal, and if so, how many gray bullets would be needed to turn a newly promoted first-ring wizard into a useless shield.

The witch remained silent, doing her best to hide behind her shield, which was gradually losing its strength and groaning, while raising her hand.

The small, colorful grove she had created using the terrain began to creak, and all sorts of strangely shaped mushrooms and the felt-like ground undulated and twisted like ocean waves.

He stood up under Luger's surprised gaze.

A giant, oozing with sap, composed of countless mushrooms of varying sizes and the once felt-like ground of the fairy kingdom.

The witch's expression changed, as if she had expended a great deal of energy.

The damaged mushrooms were oozing colorful juices, which were also mixing together.

The giant, whose face was hollow with only three holes, lunged forward as if he had fallen, tilting as he lunged at Luger, his huge fists seemingly about to smash him into a pulp.

Ruger calmly observed his opponent's every move, flapping his wings to increase his speed to the maximum. While leaping to dodge, his hands continued to move. He trusted his judgment, and it had already yielded results. The shield's surging malice had rapidly decreased at a certain moment.

Boom!

The slow-moving, multicolored mushroom giant did not simply smash a large crater into the ground as expected. Instead, like a fish swimming, it swiftly merged into the ground as its fist slammed down. The ground of the mushroom forest, which had existed for thousands of years, was like water to it.

Luger leaped up suddenly and soared into the air.

He didn't want to linger in the air, fearing the witch was deliberately tempting him. He leaped onto a giant mushroom for leverage, and the moment he left, the giant's huge hand suddenly burst out from the mushroom he had used for leverage, as if the giant, after merging with the ground, had become much faster.

The witch seemed to sense something was wrong. She took out a bottle of potion and raised her hand to throw it, but hesitated for a moment. After finally throwing it, she released a burst of magical energy, and a large number of bubbles floated around her, surrounding and protecting her.

A small number of bubbles drifted toward Luger.

"Charge for our master!"

The Spirit Hair Knights charged out, clearing a path for Luger and splitting the bubbles to either side.

Ruger looked at the witch; her injuries and depleted mental energy, perhaps due to the damage from the gray bullets earlier, made it increasingly difficult for her to resist the influence of the Miserly Demon.

Kafi unleashed his Impatience spell, but the witch seemed extremely sensitive to the power of the curse, narrowly dodging it with the help of her shield.

"That's the limit."

Ruger swooped down and whispered.

The witch suddenly looked at the fireball spell in his hand, which was already trembling slightly.

Ruger, however, stared at the thin shield in her hand.
