Kobold Wizard's Journal

Chapter 400 Trading and Cooperation

Chapter 400 Trading and Cooperation

"It was a fallen world, plummeting into the endless sea."

Ruger thought for a moment and chose the shortest answer, but it still made Lord Kurt, the god of the island, the newly appointed official wizard, who always kept a smile on his face, finally put down his smile and put on a shocked look.

Perhaps he had considered all the strange tales he had heard over the long years, but he never imagined that a world was falling, falling into the abyss, falling into the endless sea.

Of course, Lord Kurt's long life, in comparison to that of a wizard apprentice, his true life journey has only just begun. He will see many more wonders in the future and will no longer be so surprised.

Thinking this, Ruger didn't rush to speak, giving Lord Kurt time to react.

He had his mind set on the deal he had been waiting for.

In fact, during his many days of anticipation, he wasn't just waiting for that pure power of faith; he was waiting for Lord Kurt to appear so they could make some small deals, such as some blood that met the requirements to feed the Blood Curse Doll, or some things needed for experiments. Although he had already moved some from Old Lenser's apothecary and put them in a corner of his bedroom, it wasn't enough. The old dog seemed to be under a spell of stinginess; many of the experimental equipment had been taken away, leaving not even a crucible. Ruger had always suspected that this was an outward manifestation of the old dog's bloodline power.

Kurt looked at Ruger and, seeing that he wasn't joking, chose to believe him as well, since in his mind, the firsthand information came from that demon hunter wizard.

“You know what? Lord Ruger, sometimes I’m even grateful for my own weakness, because it’s like a lamp that keeps me from getting lost and always gives me the motivation to move forward,” Kurt said with a smile.

Ruger nodded in deep agreement.

The two chatted for a while longer, and then successfully completed the so-called transaction.

As a gift of thanks for the unusual news and an apology for making Ruger wait again, this turned into a one-sided transaction, or rather, it could no longer be called a transaction.

Ruger didn't want to do that; he had the Merit Stone and the Magic Stone, but Kurt eventually persuaded him.

After becoming a full-fledged wizard, he also had some things to replace, which he gave to Ruger along with them.

This unexpectedly helped Ruger complete the initial preparations for his portable laboratory.

Luger walked back happily.

When he returned to the courtyard, Mahama was still sitting there. He looked up at him but did not disturb him, and went straight back to his room.

The world, crumbling on the horizon, is falling.

As a wizard apprentice, Luger waved and stepped through the spatial portal, arriving at the Abyss Bedroom.

He's going to start building his own portable laboratory.

"Brother Luger!"

Aiskin looked delighted as she busied herself organizing some of the things Ruger had stuffed into her space.

Big Fool Heng was also carrying things around.

On his way back, Ruger took a detour, acquired a few decent trees, and then exchanged some half-new, half-old planks for star coins at the market.

The three kobolds quickly got busy in a corner of the space.

Ruger originally planned to build a small house in that corner, but when he was collecting materials, he found that they seemed to be only enough to make a few walls, and he only needed to make some shelter and partitions, without having to put in any effort to build a house.

“My great master, I feel I am ready, ready to expand the followers, and now I should be able to stabilize even more hair! I feel… I am full of power… I am omnipotent…”

As it spoke, "Scrap Hair Number One" bounced on Aiskin's shoulder, and a bunch of spirit hairs followed suit, jumping around on Aiskin's body.

Aiskin, on the other hand, was used to it and completely ignored it, focusing only on helping Luger move things quietly.

Ruger raised an eyebrow.

The large patch of baldness from last time has only started to grow back a little in the last few days. This time, the large bald patch has also made him realize that the Spirit Hair Nourishing Technique seems to have a slight effect on promoting hair regrowth. He has been using it diligently, but it is still very difficult for completely bald hair to grow back. It seems that there is a bias after becoming extraordinary. The stronger the body, the longer it takes for hair to grow or for new scales to grow. Of course, there are also cases where it will actually be faster.

Ruger glanced at the two kobolds who were busy at work.

"Are you confident you can take on the spiritual hairs from last time, or can you take on even more?"

Looking at the lively, scruffy No. 1, Ruger asked earnestly, "Last time, we wasted some of the fur we'd spent so much time grooming." He continued, "You see, these aren't just furs that have been painstakingly cultivated; they're little creatures that might acquire sentience. Just as this bedroom space is slowly expanding, so too is it recognizing them. They are all extraordinary beings, alive, or rather, capable of coming to life."

Luger suddenly paused.

If he is a world in himself, then are these furry creatures, born from his magic and originating from him, powerful individuals within that world? If he dies, will these furry creatures, who already possess intelligence and sentience, die with him?

The answer is obvious: the moment they come to life, they are already independent individuals.

Whether Luger dies or not, they will live a lively life. Of course, they may be sad for a while, and they may lose some of their spirituality because of it, but they will eventually forget and continue to jump and sing happily.

So, where does the problem lie in this assumption?

death.

Ruger suddenly realized that this was not death in the ordinary sense; it might require a more thorough death.

Ruger then thought of the wizard Mahama had mentioned, the one who started with the Ear-Planting Technique and was specifically responsible for hunting down hard-to-kill creatures. The sharp blade among the Holy Judgment Wizards was adept at making living beings die more thoroughly.

“Master… perhaps, maybe…”

The first frizzy creature ran onto Luger. It, which had just claimed to be omnipotent, became a little nervous because of Luger's question. Even the furry creatures on Aiskin in the distance stopped jumping around.

“I think, my master, I should be able to… catch a little more than last time, but… but, let’s keep it the same as last time. That way I’ll be more confident. I just need to rest for a while longer, no, I should be able to regain my strength very quickly and catch even more… more… more…”

Miscellaneous Hair Number One was sometimes reserved, and sometimes cheering.

The furry creatures in the distance also jumped and bounced along.

As the cheers of "Scrap Hair Number One" rang out, Luger involuntarily shuddered, as if he were seeing his bald self.

“No need to rush,” Ruger said in a deep voice. “It is easier to succeed if the hair is nourished with enough spiritual energy.”

The cheering scraggly number one was stunned for a moment.

"Oh yes, that's right, my wise master! Master is always wise! Waaah! Master..."

The first frizzy creature cheered half-heartedly and started crying, while the other frizzy creatures on the other side also wiggled their bodies in response.

While teasing the scraggly number one, Luger's hands didn't stop moving.

With the help of two dragonborn kobolds, the items quickly appeared in their proper places, and simple dividing walls were gradually erected.

Ruger glanced at them and left them to Aiskin and Big Fool.

He was in charge of some finer details, arranging things according to the layout of Old Lunser's apothecary shop. In his own space, many things could be omitted, such as the silencing array that Old Lunser had customized to prevent outside disturbances. Here, there was no need to do anything, which would also save some magic stones.

Ruger also referred to the notes his teacher had given him, as well as the experiments related to the little devils that he was about to handle.

"Owner……"

As Luger focused intently, Zamao No. 1 stood on his shoulder and called softly again.

"Ok?"

Luger snapped out of his daze and looked at it with a puzzled expression.

When do we start?

"Miscellaneous Hair Number One said eagerly."

It seemed to be saying that the great spirit god was a commendable and dedicated god, the most loyal servant of his master, and that as long as his master cooperated, the number of believers would increase.
