Chapter 263 Snake and Eyes

Chapter 263 Snake and Eyes
Ruger and Vito had already prepared their spells, ready to be unleashed.

Raden's hand holding the torch trembled, drawing an even larger circle of fire. Even as he moved, the fireball spell he was casting continued unabated. The giant python crashed into the fire circle, which resembled a child's playful swinging, its body contorting as it hissed. Accompanied by the explosion of a fireball in the distance, the giant python suddenly appeared at the spot where the fireball had exploded, letting out another unwilling hiss. Then, a massive number of fireballs rained down. Raden moved leisurely, and although he didn't seem to possess the skill to instantly unleash a multitude of fireballs, the amount of fireballs he wasted as the giant python ran around had increased significantly.

Ruger observed this and felt that in a little while, the accumulated power of the Fireball spell might be no less than that of a normal first-level Fireball spell, even though it was a tedious process.

The giant python hissed in pain, accidentally being hit by a large number of fireballs, its skin and flesh instantly torn open. This was one of the reasons why Ruger made the previous judgment. Extreme precision, along with quantity, also ensured power. When Leiden walked around holding that broken piece of wood, the fireballs seemed to have eyes. They were not like fireballs, but rather a bunch of well-coordinated, sentient beings.

Of course, it's also possible that Leiden has some special manipulation methods.

The giant python hissed, and with each swallow of its tail, it would gather more fireballs. Every time it seized an opportunity to launch a sneak attack, it would be sent far away with a bang.

Leiden simply strolled around there.

Ruger actually hoped the python could be stronger, so that feeding it to the Nightmare Organs would be more effective, and the soup might taste better. Moreover, he could see more of Leiden's methods. The current situation clearly couldn't motivate Leiden to go all out.

Looking at his leisurely manner, Luger couldn't even be sure if Leiden possessed the Solidified Fireball spell. He seemed to be holding back, perhaps to observe this suddenly born giant serpent, and would only end the hunt when he completely lost interest.

Snapped!
The python was broken at both ends and was no longer a ring.

Luger and his companion suddenly realized that this guy had a really perverse sense of humor; he probably wanted to see what it would look like if this strange thing were broken.

The black and white python suddenly froze, remaining motionless despite not having suffered a fatal injury.

Raiden continued casting fireballs, one after another, at a pace that was neither too fast nor too slow, but none of the fireballs landed on the motionless giant python.

Black and white flowed, and a strange hissing sound echoed through the forest.

A dangerous atmosphere spread.

Leiden had somehow produced a metal torch, its top inlaid with an unfamiliar crystal, and it was burning with a roaring flame.

Luger and his companion followed along, and the two of them, one human and one python, had long since strayed from their original location.

Luger suddenly felt a heat in his palm. He had just walked to a spot where the cone-shaped object was heating up, and he happily tossed it out.

The moment the little creature disappeared into the ground, the giant python, which was undergoing a strange transformation, trembled violently, and its aura instantly weakened.

At the same time, Ruger's vision went dark. He inexplicably forgot what he was doing, forgot where he was. He couldn't see anything else around him, no light source, but it was just dim, not pitch black. He looked around blankly, and for a moment even forgot to breathe, feeling a tightness in his chest. He tried to think, and just as he was about to raise his hand to tap his stupid head, a lamp suddenly lit up in the dim light, followed by a second, a third, until the sixteenth glowing thing lit up. Only then did his stupid head realize that it was sixteen eyes on a huge head.

The sixteen enormous eyes were all lifeless, yet they seemed to be looking at him, giving rise to an extremely contradictory feeling.

It is both divine and without, seemingly awake yet asleep, seemingly looking yet not looking.

It was all just a feeling, because Luger didn't dare to look up. When it first lit up, his stupid mind thought it was a lamp, and it really did look like a lamp. But when he realized that it was sixteen eyes arranged in two vertical rows, an inexplicable pressure arose, and he quickly lowered his head, not daring to look again.

boom!
A prolonged, loud bang came from beside my ears.

"Ruger! Lord Ruger! Are you alright?"

Vito's cries, a series of cries, brought Ruger back to his senses; it seemed that the explosions were Vito's cries drawn out in long, thin lines.

Ruger shook his head. The black and white python had already slumped to the ground. The transformation had been inexplicably interrupted, but it had still turned into two snakes, one black and one white, each biting the other's tail.

"I am fine."

Ruger spoke, only to find his voice hoarse. "You're bleeding..." Vito said.

Ruger touched it and found that blood was indeed flowing from his mouth, nose, and the corner of his eye. He blinked and waved his hand to indicate that he was alright.

Over there, Leiden had already started setting up a pot for the black and white python.

Vito immediately went to help when he saw this.

Ruger took a couple of steps and swayed a little, but he gradually recovered from the third step onwards.

He looked down at the small cone-shaped object in his hand. Just as he dropped one, he subconsciously took out a new one and held it in his hand. In that inexplicable moment, it seemed that the little object also played some inexplicable role.

Ruger took a few more steps forward.

Suddenly, he stopped in his tracks.

His strange behavior attracted the attention of Leiden and Vito.

In front of them, Ruger threw the cone-shaped object in his hand near the black and white python. It was supposed to be Leiden's turn this time, but Ruger was confirming a guess in his mind. The cone-shaped object successfully disappeared into the ground and disappeared, just like every time, without even leaving a pit.

Then, under Leiden's astonished gaze, he took out another one and tossed it over.

Success has once again vanished without a trace.

Leiden realized what was happening and took out what he had left.

Each one was warm to the touch, and the two of them, one after the other, quickly discarded all the remaining cone-shaped objects.

Vito, who had been looking completely bewildered, gradually came to his senses and stopped bewildering. Although he still didn't know what the two of them were doing or who they were working for, the atmosphere at the moment told him that it seemed to be time to part ways.

Leiden lit a campfire. The black and white python, unable to finish its meal in one sitting, twitched as it was cut in his hands. Judging from the manner of the scene, this meal was about to become a grand python feast.

Ruger and Vito each collected some of the python's blood; the nightmare creatures were never just food.

Using the body of a giant python and the ingredients at hand, Leiden began an impromptu culinary creation.

Zizi also had a great time.

After the meal, the ground was a mess, but everyone looked like they were enjoying themselves. The strange giant python seemed to be quite extraordinary after its transformation. The three of them shared some scraps with the Nightmare Organs. Vito and Leiden's Nightmare Organs underwent a transformation, while Luger's was still a bit lacking.

Suddenly, Ruger and Leiden exchanged a glance.

Their shoulders were getting slightly warm.

The three stood up and, pulled by Leiden, walked together toward the campfire. During the meal, Vito had decided that as they left the mountainous region together by the campfire, he would go alone to find a properly functioning camp and try to find an opportunity to return to the Underworld.

With a loud bang, the three, led by Leiden, arrived at Ruger's original camp. The camp, surrounded by tall, withered trees, was still empty and deserted.

Their shoulders felt increasingly hot.
