Chapter 190: Slow Progress?

Tie Hui's decision was ultimately accepted by everyone present. They couldn't very well disagree; they couldn't just imprison him there, could they?
Moreover, these were personally selected by the Emperor. If they were truly angered, they would simply go to other worlds to join forces with the Emperor to expand their military and prepare for war, and then return to treat them like golf balls.

Moreover, to put it bluntly, this person possesses the ability to travel between worlds at will. If they encounter real danger, they can simply turn around and travel to another world.

Therefore, based on this, they stopped insisting.

The Seraph battle barge sped toward the front lines, carrying only a few people, apart from the basic naval crew members who operated the warship.

Only 20 veteran Astartes remained, ten of whom were equipped with Terminator armor but not Dreadnoughts, as they were deemed too cumbersome for the upcoming operation.

All 20 or so Astartes were equipped with Flying Leviathan motorcycles, including himself. This was just in case, so he could easily escape on a motorcycle.

In a dark corner of the Stramos Sector, a war between warships is slowly unfolding. Countless beams of light and lasers intertwine between the ships, creating a deadly web.

Whenever the void shield on the surface of a ship turns from dark to light, a huge beam of light will follow and strike it.

The massive muzzle of the cannon flashed with a fleeting light, spewing gray smoke. A cannonball, the size of a shipping container, hurtled out and crashed into the enemy's void shield.

In an instant, the space between the warships transformed into a deathly thicket of laser cannons and shimmering light. This concentrated energy also directly interfered with the warships' communication systems.

The jumble of noise from the blocked secondary systems echoed throughout the command room. Terrifying artillery fire, enough to level a city, flickered on the surface of every ship.

Tiberius's fleet was the first to engage a warband of Khorne in space. Judging from their insignia, they should be Gladiator Core 331 Warriors!

Tie Hui stood in the ship's command room, watching the two fleets fighting each other on the battlefield hundreds of thousands of miles away.

Through examination and analysis of the markings on the Bloodship, the investigators found information on one of the Chaos Warbands that Abaddon had most prominently represented during the Ninth Black Crusade.

Tie Hui had never heard of this Zhan Gang before, and he was very curious. He reached out and took the introductory information about the Zhan Gang from the investigators and began to read it carefully.

However, there is not much information available; it consists only of intelligence gathered from previous Black Expeditions and encounters with forces in other places.

The Warband leader, Costus Salas, and the entire Warband's armor continued the blue and white armor style that the World Eaters Legion had always worn.

According to available information, this warring state was particularly adept at naval warfare and breaching enemy lines, using precision strikes to break them apart.

During the Ninth Black Crusade, they infiltrated the Empire's command ship and killed several high-ranking officers. Furthermore, their strategic role and mission during that expedition was to breach the Empire's defenses and sabotage key Imperial facilities.

For example, the intelligence recorded by the Inquisition clearly documented that this warband boarded the cruiser Eternal Fury during the Battle of the Caledris system, and used its communication system to directly interfere with the communication network of the entire Imperial fleet.

Further down, there are records of the weapons used by this battle group and analysis reports on its tactical operations.

"Did Tiberius receive this message?" Tie Hui still asked, rambling on. What if someone made a mistake and didn't inform Tiberius?

"I have already informed you, sir. Lord Tiberius is currently making urgent tactical arrangements to deal with this Chaos Warband!" A messenger put down his quill and said respectfully.

Tie Hui nodded in response, turning his attention back to the battle formation in deep space that was constantly churning out deadly creatures.

Logically, those Astartes who had allied with the Four Gods under Abaddon's command should have been under his command.

These traits were evident in the previous 13 expeditions. However, the reality was quite different. It could be said that Abaddon walked a tightrope within the Black Legion, because his ambitions and goals were far too great.

The Four Gods had once granted him power, wanting him to serve them. But he refused and instead turned to cooperate with Vashtor.

The two sides collaborated to begin implementing the so-called Ominous Ark Project, which, according to Abaddon's plan, aimed to reshape the hegemony of chaos.

This means that he wants to break free from the constraints of the Four Gods, escape their control, and gain true hegemony.

And their ultimate goal is to become another emerging and powerful force in the entire galaxy and warp, and to sit at the negotiating table with the Four Gods and the Emperor.

The most significant aspect of this is his collection of imperial blood and fragments of star gods. Both of these indicate his desire to ascend to godhood through autonomous means, and ultimately become an existence surpassing the chaotic gods.

These ideals seemed good to Tie Hui at the time, but they were also quite ridiculous, making him laugh every time he saw them. It was like India in the real world wanting to sit at the internal negotiating table of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council.

That's hilarious!
Moreover, the potential threats within the company alone are enough to give him a headache. First and foremost are the competitors, whom he must constantly guard against. Once discovered, he will eliminate these competitors.

Moreover, the struggle and corruption of the Black Legion by the four Chaos Gods is constantly tearing apart the fragile network of relationships within the Abaddon Alliance.

Furthermore, although they cooperated with Vashtor, can the words of those evil gods and demons in the warp be trusted?
Abaddon was well aware of this, and therefore he was also on guard against Vashtor's betrayal.

Furthermore, externally, Guilliman's awakening and rise to power, along with the return of Lion King Ryan, only exacerbated his situation. The Empire's counter-offensive and the Grey Knights' sabotage and elimination of his strategic strongholds in battle after battle.

It also left him physically and mentally exhausted!
Now, these Chaos Astartes warriors under the command of the Chaos Four Gods are no longer working with Abaddon to nibble away at the Empire's dark side and attack the Nakmonde Corridor.

This means that a rift has developed between Abadan and the Four Chaos Gods. So much so that now the Four Chaos Gods can only send their warbands here to hunt him down.

"Didn't you find any other war gangs?" Tie Hui smiled, his mood temporarily lifted by recalling his past life's memories. But the smile faded as he realized there were other Four Gods War Gangs.

"Through our detection devices and satellites deployed at various nodes, we have discovered that other Chaos Warbands are slowly advancing into the Ghoul Starfield!"

"?"

Tie Hui turned his head, bewildered, to look at the staff member who had given the report. The staff member, equally confused, didn't know how to respond.

Based on the data and intelligence gathered from the reconnaissance missions, analysis shows that these war gangs are indeed... advancing slowly!
"What's going on?" Tie Hui's train of thought was momentarily interrupted by the report. Logically, he should be here. Based on the previous battle, the Four Chaos Gods should be able to pinpoint his location. This meant that these Chaos Warriors only needed to follow the gods' guidance, unite in one place, capture the necessary nodes to prevent being ambushed, and then directly advance towards his location!

But something's not right now.

Slow and steady progress?

Tie Hui picked up the intelligence report again, looking at the satellite images and data. The more he looked, the stranger his expression became.

He discovered that wherever those Chaos War Gangs went, they began to scan and search for meteorite zones on surrounding planets and galaxies.

Judging from their appearance, they seem to be looking for something!
