Chapter 666: 662. Review of Star Wars: Silver Covenant

"Star Wars" is a globally popular movie that many people like. The ordinary Louis Koo is a big fan of Star Wars.

I've seen a few movies in this series, and I don't remember the plots very clearly. I only remember the "fluorescent" swords in the hands of the Jedi Knights, which are very similar to the glow sticks or toy fluorescent swords given out at performances today.

However, in that era, when science fiction movies were still in their infancy, this special effect, coupled with the whirring sound of the swinging, was still quite mysterious.

The author of this book is the renowned writer His Majesty the King, whose most popular book is "Once Upon a Time, There Was a Spirit Sword Mountain," which is mainly about comedy. He also wrote the science fiction novel "Collapse of the Galaxy," which also performed quite well.

Okay, enough nostalgia, let’s get back to the topic.

Since this is a trial reading and confidentiality is involved, I will only talk about my feelings briefly.

The protagonist, Sean, is 17 years old and is the apprentice of the all-powerful Jedi Master Mastema. His own qualifications are not particularly outstanding, but his strengths lie in his meticulous observation and strong ability to respond.

He was brought out by his master to participate in the novice trial, with the task of investigating the dark side beneath the "saint" halo of Jamie Brasen, the president of Bergamore in the outer ring of the Milky Way.

With the help of his master who collected information and the strong cooperation of the planet's undercover agents, the protagonist sneaked into the presidential estate as a sous chef, poisoned the food, put the blame on the robot, and successfully escaped in the presidential car.

But in order to save innocent people, he still exposed his identity as a Jedi Knight.

Because it is a new book, there is not much data to refer to, so I can only make some predictions based on my personal feelings.

Because this is a custom Star Wars story, the main audience is still Star Wars fans, so from the beginning, we need to have psychological expectations. Star Wars fans may like it, but ordinary readers may need some adjustment.

From the outset, the story's key points are readily apparent. First, there's the all-powerful Jedi Master, a hidden figure in the background, guiding the protagonist through infiltration strategies and pointing out any flaws in their escape. Furthermore, the fact that she's a female character creates a strong sense of mystery, creating the illusion of a mastermind behind the scenes.

Secondly, the diverse and vivid species are all vividly portrayed. This, besides the lightsabers, is another of the most compelling aspects of Star Wars. From the outset, the book creates a vibrant cast of alien characters, including an octopus-headed informant, a strange chef, and a tyrannical yet cautious president. The details are vivid and well-suited for film and television adaptation. This is also the first time a Chinese author has attempted to create a uniquely Chinese take on the Star Wars universe, combining the characteristics of a popular online novel and striving to localize a classic IP.

While the protagonist may seem ordinary, and his control of the Force isn't top-tier, he possesses exceptional intelligence and learning abilities, quickly adapting to complex environments and formulating solutions intelligently. He's also incredibly compassionate. "Love and peace" has a certain meaning. This is closely tied to the author's humorous, sarcastic, and down-to-earth writing style, which perfectly matches the author's own.

Dihua is very popular in online literature nowadays. In this article, we mainly enrich the human side of the almighty Jedi Master, including the subtle frown and other feminine gestures. With rich emotions, the character becomes more three-dimensional.

Overall, however, His Majesty is still capable of handling this type of subject matter. As long as he remains steady and perseveres through to the end, the results will be quite impressive.
