"Starting from the Battle of Nine Dragons", The Loss of Carthage, Level 4 author.

Category: Xianxia-Cultivation Civilization.

【Introduction】

The Eighteen Palms of the Dragon Subduing made the golden dragon soar into the sky, Xiao Li's Flying Dagger shattered the void, the Atlas of the God of War suppressed the heroes, and the warriors were rampant, taking human lives lightly.

Li Mu said, "This world is too dangerous. What should I do as a scholar?"

Dear! Please give me some advice!

【Golden Five Chapters】

Chapter One: The Nine Dragons' Struggle for the Crown Prince. The protagonist, Li Mu, a top scholar in the imperial examination, refuses to be drawn into the fray and leaves the capital to become a minor county magistrate. Returning home, he pays farewell at his father's grave. On his way to his new post, he's robbed by bandits who, upon learning his identity, attempt to murder him. Fortunately, the appearance of the third in command, a woman, seems to offer a chance of recovery.

Chapter 2: What if I can't be Yuan Fang? The protagonist is invited up the mountain by bandits, treated to delicious food and drinks, and even asked to be taught martial arts by the Third Master. Unfortunately, his talent is mediocre, and he doesn't sense any chi for ten days. He visits his superiors to seek advice on governance, and then seeks martial arts training from the Six Sects within the county. A year later, he finally senses a faint chi. The cheat code arrives, but unfortunately, the progress bar is stuck and hasn't been activated.

Chapter 3: The Coroner is a Difficult One. A murder case is reported to the police, and the protagonist leads his team to the scene. Unfortunately, the coroner is incompetent and can't find any clues from the body. He performs the autopsy himself, but it's just a trick to fool those around him. He instructs the inspector to continue the investigation and discusses countermeasures with the county magistrate. Before they can figure out the cause, another report arrives.

Chapter 4: Another murder. Someone reports that an elderly scholar and his wife have been found dead at home. The protagonist returns to the scene, where the coroner determines the deaths were the result of a robbery. The protagonist again intervenes, deducing the murder to be revenge. However, it's unclear what enemies the deceased had.

Chapter 5: Zheng the Butcher and Thousand-Refined Steel. The protagonist is sorting through his case notes when the third in command of the Shanzhai gang arrives, bringing with him the gang's account books. The protagonist tells him about two recent murders, and the third in command determines that the headless victim was a martial artist. The head is soon recovered, and based on the scene, the third in command concludes that the victim was killed in a duel. Furthermore, the Thousand-Refined Steel used was considered high-quality.

【Brief Comment】

The Loss of Carthage, a level 4 author, has written nine works including "Conquering the World of Heavens", "Rivals for the Lord God", and "Starting from the Fight for the Succession of Nine Dragons".

Four of them have been sealed for a long time and it is estimated that it will be difficult to release them.

The book I'm introducing today was completed on November 4th, with 144 million words. It launched on March 6th, with an initial order of 1200, but it hasn't yet reached the status of a "high-quality" book. Currently, it has 42,600 favorites on Qidian, 9004 on the bookstore, 93,800 followers, and no leader.

A few months ago, I asked him if he needed some recommendations, but he declined.

He once modestly said that the book was poorly written and not worth recommending.

I believed it, but I didn't write it. Because if it's not a particularly outstanding or famous work, even if I promoted it, it might not have any effect.

I've been thinking about this recently, and I feel like I should give some support to my fellow authors. After all, I've recommended novels with tens of thousands of words, so why shouldn't I recommend some books that are close to me?

After reading it, I still have some small understandings.

First, the author writes numerous monthly summaries. This has become quite popular recently, likely influenced by the work "Lord of Mysteries." Frequent summaries ensure the story stays on track and helps organize your writing process, which is a good writing habit.

Secondly, the book's style leans towards solving cases, with the Xianxia (xianxia) genre merely a veneer. The story bears a resemblance to the TV series "Detective Di Renjie," a point the author repeatedly emphasizes. Perhaps he was heavily influenced by the show and wanted to pursue that direction. Therefore, the book contains numerous cases, and he researched numerous cases to achieve this. The reasoning and solving of the cases are logically sound, and no major loopholes have been found.

Secondly, there's a bit too much preaching. My personal reading preference is that I don't like authors expounding on values. Whether it's "Sword Comes" or "The Son-in-Law," if there's too much exposition of values or too much popular science, I'll be a little resistant. Readers come to read books, not to listen to lectures or attend classes. So this aspect tends to put me off.

Finally, I have to admit that this author is a very serious and hardworking person. This is also the essential requirement for being a good author. Writing haphazardly may only make you feel good in the moment, but it will definitely be boring afterwards. Although this book is disguised as a fairy tale, it can also be read as a historical or suspense novel. If you come here for the fairy tale and cultivation, you may be disappointed.

This friend recently ran into trouble, and his book was even pulled from shelves. This was due to a malicious report. It's clear that the current writing environment is incredibly difficult for authors of all levels.

Anyway, if you like it, please support it.

【to sum up】

Writing is not easy, so cherish every moment!

I’m Cang Yiwei, and I’m here to promote “Cang’s Ramblings”!
Welcome to the paradise of book reviews.

【Cang's Ramblings】

This book ended quite suddenly. I was working hard to update it one second, and it was finished the next.

The author said he wanted to take a break for a while, read "Records of the Grand Historian", and recharge himself.

I have always had a lot of communication with him and I understand that he has high expectations for his books.

But for the time being, I don’t have the strong ability to write the story I want to write.

This repetitive torture made it difficult for him to write.

I hope that after this break, I can present a particularly comfortable work to everyone.
