Chapter 462 458. Comments on "Just like that, I became an Immortal"

Today I would like to recommend a new urban book to you.

"Just Like That, Cultivating Immortality", Jack, Level 5 author.

Category: Urban-supernatural powers.

【Introduction】

An ordinary post-90s generation, an ordinary college graduate, and an ordinary job.

Originally, Su Tong thought that this ordinary life would accompany him throughout his life, but there are always countless possibilities in the world. When he got the stone that could travel freely between the modern world and the fairy world, everything changed.

What can Su Tong do when a longer lifespan and countless supernatural powers that only exist in novels appear around him?

Of course, you can’t escape the law of true fragrance!
【Golden Five Chapters】

Chapter One: An Argument. The protagonist, Su Tong, a top-tier Chinese university student, lands a job as a reserve cadre at a garment factory. He finally gets a job as a responsible official, but he and the new factory manager clash, leading to a heated argument. Returning to his dorm, he finds a stone he found piercing his palm, and blood seeps into the stone.

Chapter 2: Military Order. After a hand puncture, nothing unusual, the protagonist is dragged by an acquaintance to the cafeteria for lunch. They witness the boss scolding the new factory manager and receive a military order to complete the task. While the conflict intensifies, the outcome seems to be slowly improving.

Chapter 3: Charging. The protagonist discovers in his dormitory that a stone he had picked up earlier has turned into a goldfish. He electrifies the stone, and it actually charges. However, the charging speed is a bit scary and expensive: 50 kWh of electricity is gone in half an hour. He secretly connects electricity from the factory to charge the goldfish, and once fully charged, the goldfish turns back into stone. It's just such a fantasy.

Chapter 4: Fortune and wealth are sought amidst danger. The protagonist, holding a stone, enters a mysterious dimension filled with green vegetation and extremely high temperatures, but otherwise unremarkable. He soon emerges from the mysterious dimension. The factory assigns him additional personnel to assist with production tasks. With men and women assigned to different roles, the task is finally completed. However, he plans to continue exploring that mysterious world.

Chapter 5: Rejection. His friend came into the bathroom to look for him, worried he might have had an accident. They had a deep, heart-to-heart talk. His colleagues had already done all the work he needed to do, and he even wanted to treat a female colleague to dinner, but was rejected. The other party was also very good at ripping people off.

【Brief Comment】

Jack, a level 5 author, has written six works including "Journey to the Late Ming Dynasty", "My Life in the Ming Dynasty", "I Was a Duke in the Ming Dynasty", "My Wife is a Bandit", "My Life in the Republic of China", and "Just Like That: Cultivating Immortality".

Two of them were ruthlessly sealed.

Of the four existing books, three are historical texts and all are excellent works.

This new book is an urban novel. It's not a complete transformation, after all, I've also written "My Wife is a Bandit" and "My Life in the Republic of China." But, frankly, the preview experience wasn't very good, and for a moment I felt it didn't come from a Level 5 author.

Most online articles are written by amateurs, which is understandable.

I have also tried to read many amateur texts, but it is indeed very rare to find one as simple as this one.

There's a writing technique called voice typing. You just type aloud, correcting any typos, and then publish. You can write tens of thousands of words in an hour.

My first impression of this book is that it was first drafted by voice typing. The colloquialism is very obvious and there is no sense of careful polish.

The Golden Five chapters are abysmal. They feel very dated, and are practically identical to the opening chapters from ten years ago. I wonder if the author is mad at himself; this is a good historical piece with so much potential.

I'm forced to write urban novels, which I'm not good at, and the key is that I can't write anything interesting. The cheat code is too slow to arrive, the function display is delayed again and again, and each chapter has a lot of words but very little actual content.

It could be that he has been doing this since the first chapter, and it's quite obvious.

It is recommended that you treat this book as a negative example for novice writers, learn some lessons from it, and highlight your own characteristics in the early stages.

【to sum up】

Writing is not easy, so cherish every moment!
