Chapter 1424 1422. Comments on "Detailed Talk on the Red Dust"

Hello everyone, I am Cang Yiwei.

Today I would like to recommend a new book by a great author to you.

"A Detailed Account of the Red Dust" is really tedious, and it is written by a great writer.

Category: Xianxia-classical Xianxia.

Summary:
The teahouse on the roadside is full of people
From the street came two or three shouts

Waving a fan in front of others, clapping the table with a ruler

Dear readers, please listen carefully.
This world is full of troubles, years and mountains and rivers
How much passion and melancholy are there in the storms of the world

That dream of a dynasty was absurd.

Gods and Ghosts are not high and mighty
Fairies, monsters, demons, ghosts and goblins
Time wasted will also be punished

You and I are not saints, we are all confused
Life is short, not like the passing of days and months
Folding fan unfolds, melting all emotions
Tiangang and Disha show mysterious changes

A single strike of the ruler creates a thousand waves
All sentient beings are involved in the mundane world

PS: The first few sentences of the introduction are the lyrics of the song "Storyteller". Book lovers can listen to this song and sing the whole introduction according to the melody. It feels great ^_^!

【Brief Comment】

He has works such as "Biological Alchemy Notes", "The Natives of This World Are So Fierce", "The Fate of Broken Chess", "After Awakening", etc. I don't know if any of them have been blocked, and I don't know if he has any smurf accounts.

That year, he competed for the Twelve Heavenly Kings and Great God Agreement in the fairy-tale category with "Lan Ke Qi Yuan" and "My Senior Brother is Too Steady", but unfortunately lost. He successfully became a god the following year.

In fact, if we only talk about the flavor of Xianxia, the really troublesome "Lan Ke Qi Yuan" is better. It just lags behind in market promotion.

Later, he switched to writing science fiction, "After Awakening," which flopped miserably and failed to become a masterpiece. The same is true of "Afterglow," which I'll return to later.

This new book, which really takes the trouble to return to the classic Xianxia, is very ordinary, but the story content is very exciting, and it has already tasted 70% of "Lan Ke Qi Yuan". First of all, I would like to mention that the results are probably unlikely to be as high as "Lan Ke Qi Yuan", and it has not yet been recommended by Sanjiang.

In terms of content, the theme chosen this time is not Nan Ke Yi Meng, but Peach Blossom Spring, which is also the preferred entry point for many fantasy novels.

The protagonist is reborn and was a ventriloquist and storyteller in his previous life. I once followed an account on Tik Tok that was all about ventriloquism.

While touring Wuling, he fell into the water and arrived in a strange world of immortals. He was used as bait by the eight ghosts in the mountains to hunt a giant white python. Spending the night in a dilapidated post station, the white python attacked. The protagonist commanded Agou to help him escape and returned to his hometown after twenty years.

He doesn't have any martial arts skills, but he knows some unorthodox techniques like the Heart Purification Mantra and the Qiankun Transformation Mantra, and he's an excellent calligrapher. This led him to work as a clerk in the county government. One night, someone beats a drum to complain about a crime, and unexpectedly, a female ghost arrives. Using his ventriloquism, the protagonist explains the ghost's grievances to the county magistrate. While the capture encounters some difficulties, the trial goes smoothly, and the protagonist even witnesses a night-wandering spirit.

I won't list all the other plot details here, but to put it simply, this book has a very authentic Xianxia feel, without any side-steps, system manipulation, or meme-inducing tropes. It depicts a complex world of humans, gods, ghosts, demons, and immortals. In the preview I read, I haven't seen how the protagonist cultivates, and I can't imagine how he cultivates with just ventriloquism, but I'm sure there will be more to come.

This book is worth reading. Some of the plots may be traditional, but there are still some fresh elements. Moreover, the author wrote it very carefully, and the logic and story are very distinctive. I am looking forward to it.

【to sum up】

Writing is not easy, so cherish every moment.

I’m Cang Yiwei, and I’m here to promote “Cang’s Ramblings”.

Welcome to the paradise of book reviews.

【Cang's Ramblings】

Why is there such a big gap between the books written by great writers and those written by new authors? Because they think more and further, have richer writing experience, and are more emotional.

So don’t complain, reflect on yourself more, learn more, and write more. Maybe you won’t become a great person, but at least you are making progress.

Acknowledging others' excellence and hard work is also a form of responsibility to yourself.
