【Brief Comment】

He currently has two completed works under his name, "The Host" and "Tiger Police". His previous transformation work "Prison Emperor" ended badly and the data was very bad.

The last time I looked up his work, it was here. Today, I saw the recommended placement mechanism that great writers must have on the web, and I came across this book. It's still his main field, science fiction.

Let me first discuss some of my interactions with him. First, I had never read his book. He was the vice chairman of the Yunnan Provincial Tennis Association. He called me one afternoon and acted as my membership reviewer. He also invited me to join the Kunming City Tennis Association, but since we weren't in the same league, I didn't join. We haven't had any contact since.

I just recommended this new book when I was looking for books.

I have updated four chapters so far, and I don't even have a book cover yet. I haven't signed a contract yet, but the internal vote should have passed. However, the signing process has not been completed, so I can't give rewards at the moment.

The story, in short, is quite interesting. Set in the future, the protagonist is a centenarian who attends a memorial service for a comrade. Upon returning home, the deceased comrade unexpectedly appears alive in the protagonist's bedroom.

The comrade explained his identity, saying that he was the guardian of China. Because he was injured, he came back from a certain time and space to find a new guardian.

Fearing the protagonist might not believe it, the comrade provides numerous examples, fully demonstrating the reality and importance of the Guardians, as well as the subjective and objective factors that led to their selection. The comrade then removes a chip from his own body and has the protagonist swallow it, bind it, and activate it. Thus begins a new life for the protagonist, no longer an ordinary old man. As for the power setting, it currently focuses on the control of time energy, which is a bit far-fetched and requires further understanding, despite the interpretation of time found in many movies and science fiction novels.

Overall, this book has several key points to offer. First, the author's core focus is science fiction, having pioneered the wasteland genre, so returning to familiar territory is not likely to be a failure. Second, he's been preparing for this new book for a long time, and he's likely prepared for all kinds of reviews, both positive and negative. Great writers generally have a good mental attitude, unless their performance is truly terrible.

There are some shortcomings in the story. There aren't many exciting moments in the early stages, and the story isn't very strong. In order to explain the whole background, the two characters chat for a long time. This can easily turn readers away.

Its novelty is also average, though similar sci-fi themes exist. There are also relatively few humorous or meme-inspired elements, and the characters are portrayed as elderly. The symbolic elements tend to lean towards positive energy, which isn't very popular in the market. So I suspect he might be preparing to participate in a sci-fi writing competition, aiming to promote positive ideas.
