【Brief Comment】
He only has this book to his name, which took 42 days to create, has no leader, and has less than 20,000 collections. By the time it's released, its performance won't be much better, as new accounts usually do. There's nothing to complain about; it's pretty good, having successfully made it onto Sanjiang Recommendations.
I had been following a fan fiction of "Dream of Red Mansions" before, so when I tried to read this book, I compared the two books and it was a little difficult to immerse myself in them.
The protagonist of this book is Jia Cong, Jia She's illegitimate son, who traveled through time and space. He has no special abilities, so he has been clinging to Jia She from the very beginning. Both of them are unpopular people, and as father and son, it is easy for them to develop a deep bond.
Jia She carefully trained the protagonist and took him with him when the emperor went hunting. Coincidentally, the White Lotus Sect attacked the emperor. The protagonist rode a donkey and used his slingshot skills to repel the enemy and protect the emperor. Afterwards, he was rewarded with a flying fish robe and the official position of a fifth-rank general, which caused quite a stir in the Jia family.
In Jia Mu's view, the honor obtained by the protagonist should have belonged to Baoyu, which was really a pipe dream. Jia She was so angry that he directly shouted out the urge to divide the family.
This certainly doesn't fit the rhythm of the original novel. In fact, there are many fan fiction books with different settings. The character of Jia She in this book is also completely different from that in other fan fictions. In particular, he is like a great master who is extremely wise but appears foolish.
As for the protagonist, Jia Cong, despite possessing a mature human within him, he's nothing more than a cowardly bully when facing an increasingly imaginary enemy. Furthermore, the protagonist is incredibly young. Not only is he rewarded with the Flying Fish Suit for his heroic defense of the emperor, but he also handles the backyard drama with ease, particularly in his confrontations with Lady Jia, his direct confrontation with Baoyu, and his teaching Xiren a lesson. These moments demonstrate his high IQ and EQ, as well as his formidable ability to control the flow of the story. Because this is a new book, not many people are paying attention, and everyone is cautious, not wanting to waste too much attention.
If you think you can adapt to the above advantages and disadvantages, you can still go and have a look.
If you are short of books, please pick them up yourself.
【to sum up】
Writing is not easy, so cherish every moment.
I’m Cang Yiwei, and I’m here to promote “Cang’s Ramblings”.
Welcome to the paradise of book reviews.
【Cang's Ramblings】
This fan fiction of "Dream of Red Mansions" is okay, but the number of words is a bit short. You can pay attention to it first.
It's a bit exaggerated, but compared with Fei Lufeng's imaginative masterpieces, it's nothing.
It all depends on how the author tries to justify it later. If he does it well, it will be a fine work; if he doesn't, it will be a failure. If you think about it this way, it doesn't seem like a big deal.
I actually hope that the protagonist grows up quickly, otherwise many plots cannot unfold and it will be difficult to maintain a harem.
I probably won’t recommend any more novels about the Dream of the Red Chamber in the near future. I’m a bit tired of reading them and need to change to some fresh topics. If you have any recommendations, you can also leave a message in the essay post in the book club.
