Chapter 1327 1325. Comments on "A Science and Engineering Man Wandering in the Troubled Times of the Late Qing Dynasty"

Hello everyone, I am Cang Yiwei.

Today I would like to recommend to you a new book from Sanjiang that has just been released on the shelves.

"A Science and Engineering Man Wandering in the Troubled Times of the Late Qing Dynasty", Sanqiu Kongcheng, a level 1 author.

Category: History - Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China.

Summary:
As a science and engineering man with a deep scientific background, he actually traveled through time. This is unbelievable!

But! When in doubt, quantum mechanics!

It’s time, it’s fate.

Now that I'm here, I think I might not be able to publish a science paper even if I work hard for many years.
Now, can’t we just... open a column!

Talk about the most magnificent history of human science and technology,
Look at the great changes that have not happened in three thousand years.

Let’s talk about the extraordinary fate of an originally happy and simple science and engineering man in a turbulent era.

【Brief Comment】

He only has this one book to his name, but he's definitely not a newcomer. Let me explain.

This is a historical text on the history of science and technology. The title does not directly use "Republic of China" because of various restrictions, which everyone understands.

The author also gave a unified explanation of some controversial issues, which were mostly sensitive topics about the late Qing Dynasty and rebellion, which cannot be explained in detail.

I personally find the story very exciting and clever. I actually enjoy reading books from this period because many of them are not long or well written.

The protagonist is a time traveler, without any system or cheat code, and the time of travel is 1902, with the plan to write up to 1930.

This was a unique period, a time when, from the perspective of scientific and technological history, great minds gathered and stars shone brightly. To resolve his identity problem, the protagonist sought help from a hired helper and found a temporary job as a librarian at the Tongwenguan in Beijing. There, he met the then-chief instructor and was introduced to the Iron Hat Prince Yixin, the father of the Fourth Princess, and became an assistant teacher at the palace.

During this period, he published a scientific paper on the basic principles and experimental mechanisms of X-rays, which won the recognition of a number of masters in Europe and was followed to China, making the protagonist's fame soar.

He moved out of the palace, made friends with a group of foreigners, and was invited to write articles for Shenbao and Science magazines.

The author has a strong ability to control the story and writes very carefully. The details are particularly convincing and the sense of substitution is very strong. He himself said that he had researched a lot of historical materials and compared the technological background of China and the West at the same time. The historical figures are also based on reality, without any fiction or fabrication.

Moreover, he really uses storytelling to introduce technology and history, and the descriptions in many places are both accurate and interesting.

There are probably less than 20,000 collections at present, and it has just been put on the shelves, so the results are not available yet, but I think it will not reach the standard of 2,000 plus updates that he set.

However, I feel that this book has the potential to continue to perform well, because it is not at all impetuous and is a very pleasant read. I believe that many readers will also want to see how this young man named Li Yu stood at the top of the master era. Even those readers who have very high requirements for historical themes should find it difficult to find excessive flaws in this book.

So, friends who are short of books can go and read it first.

【to sum up】

Writing is not easy, so cherish every moment.

I’m Cang Yiwei, and I’m here to promote “Cang’s Ramblings”.

Welcome to the paradise of book reviews.

【Cang's Ramblings】

I will continue to follow this book and read it closely. I earnestly hope that the author will keep a steady mindset and continue writing well. This is a novel that is truly worthy of a special mention, and it must not be written as a mindless, enjoyable novel.

Come on.
