In recent years, the review standards for suspense categories have become increasingly higher, and words like "monsters and ghosts" are all sensitive terms, resulting in the entire category having increasingly narrow room for development. Many authors have left, and those who remain are almost all dedicated authors who truly love suspense.

Similarly, for safety reasons, the author has tried his best to downplay that aspect of the plot and highlight the protagonist's analysis and reasoning of the case.

The first few chapters are a bit confusing, with imposters of the protagonist appearing many times, which distract the police's investigation. Every time a crow appears, there is a turning point in the case, which feels very weird.

In fact, it is not thrilling at all. Compared with the novels of the same type that I introduced before, it can only be considered very peaceful.

After the first copy was finished, I saw that most of the comments were complaints from readers, saying that the villain's death was too simple and that many plot holes were left unfilled. This book is also relatively rare without a post-release comment, which makes me feel uneasy. Although I have written three stories and the word count is also acceptable, it is still unknown whether it can be successfully completed in the end.

I personally think that the reason why the performance is not good, in addition to being related to the overall environment, is that the author was a bit too mysterious when conceiving the plot, and did not fully mobilize the readers' curiosity and interest in the case. When the truth was revealed step by step, it did seem too hasty.

Compared with the heyday of suspense novels in previous years, this is completely different. It's not that the authors don't know how to write, but it's due to the environment and the general trend.
