Chapter 534, The Second Path of the Dao: The Dao Ancestor Transforms into a Buddha

Chapter 534 The Second Path, Dao Ancestor Transforms into Buddha
"Is this the Great Freedom... No, is this the Path of the Heavenly Demon?"

The bodies reassemble, but the consciousness remains connected to all beings.

Just by looking at his own hands, which seemed to control all living beings, Li Boyang could sense how exaggerated the abilities of this body were.

Compared to the Moon Demon that Wang Shu transformed into, or other demon kings.

Li Boyang, in his guise as the Primordial Heavenly Demon, had already reached the realm of refining the spirit and returning to emptiness.

He is now part of the Great Free Heaven, the "Tao" that connects to the subconscious of all beings.

This is the second path that Li Boyang has proven, following "the Way of Heaven".

Although Li Boyang was only a successor, his understanding of this path far surpassed that of the Heavenly Demon.

After all, he is now known as the "Primordial Heavenly Demon," the master of all desires, and the inner demon of all living beings.

Theoretically speaking, he could now even seize control of the Great Free Heaven and use it to evolve the path he has comprehended.

At that time, the Heavenly Demon will become his successor.

Unless the other party abandons the Path of the Heavenly Demon, they can only continue to move forward along the path he has opened up.

Li Boyang will redefine the concept of "Heavenly Demon" and cut off the path for those who come after him.

"Unfortunately, I am a seeker of the truth..."

My goal is to create a world where a hundred flowers bloom and a hundred schools of thought contend...

"Moreover, it would be a waste of the concept of 'Great Freedom' to merely evolve into a single 'Primordial Heavenly Demon'."

Just like when they relinquished ownership of the [Creation Jade Disc].

Li Boyang simply smiled faintly and gave up on turning the Great Free Heaven into his means of enlightenment.

Let's set aside the fact that Li Boyang doesn't need to prove himself anymore.

From a purely personal perspective, he was also very curious about the differences between the path that the Heavenly Demon had attained and his own.

"However, your Heavenly Demon Path is still too dangerous, even more so than Hao Jun's Path of Annihilation."

"If you are allowed to preach the Dao to all living beings, this world will be completely reduced to the Desire Realm."

All living beings are deluded by their own desires, sinking into them and unable to extricate themselves. What difference is there between such an era and the Dharma-ending Age?

Li Boyang preached to all beings, not to witness the birth of a Dharma-ending Age.

So he made his move again.

Rumble…

For the first time, order was born from the chaotic evolution of the Great Free Heaven.

If all seven emotions and six desires can lead to demonic possession, then isn't the idea of detachment from the four elements also a kind of obsession?

Negative emotions can breed inner demons, but don't positive emotions also breed inner demons?
Love can turn to hate, and pride can easily break.

The so-called "inner demons" do not simply refer to negative emotions, but rather to the obsessions that trap the minds of all living beings.

By simply presenting his own evolved "Primordial Way," Li Boyang broadened the dimensions and foundation of the Great Free Heaven.

And so, amidst the horrified and bewildered gazes of the demon kings, some unconventional demon kings were born.

The Buddha, with a sorrowful expression and emanating an aura of nirvana...

The Bodhisattva closes his eyes and doesn't look, only chanting scriptures and Sanskrit...

Staring fiercely, these monstrous and terrifying beings, each more ferocious than the Demon King himself, are like Vajras...

The Bhikkhu consort, who immerses herself in bliss and uses various pleasures and desires to refine herself in order to seek transcendence...

……

At a glance, those demon kings formed from righteous thoughts were even more terrifying than real demon kings.

Especially those demon kings who were born from the Heavenly Demon.

When they saw those Buddhas and Bodhisattvas chanting Sanskrit and urging people to do good, they felt...

A chill ran down my spine, and for a moment I couldn't tell who the demon was.

While all beings are consumed by desires, there are still those who are clear-headed and rational enough to realize that this is a bad thing.

But these newly born demon kings are now "doing evil in the name of good".

They did not teach beings to do evil; on the contrary, they tirelessly exhorted beings to do good.

However, these newly born demons, demon kings transformed from righteous thoughts, are defining the concept of "goodness".

Killing is evil, releasing animals is good...

Lay down the butcher's knife and become a saint on the spot...

All beings are equal, all phenomena seek emptiness... All mortal world is karmic, all dharmas are extinguished...

Step by step, little by little, these demons are reshaping these concepts of "goodness" with their own ideas.

Transform them from dynamic moral concepts into fixed behavioral patterns.

Desire is the instinct of all living beings, while ideals are their aspirations.

There is no good or bad between the two; rather, they are the driving force that propels all things and all living beings forward.

The greedy are driven by desires, while the idealists are driven by mindfulness; there is no inherent superiority or inferiority between them.

However, when these distorted notions of "goodness" are instilled in idealists...

They may become fanatical individuals who are "evil without realizing it," even believing that they are doing good deeds all along.

The way of Yin and Yang lies in balance, and the way of all things lies in development.

Those with deep desires are demons, but aren't those who are immersed in their own so-called ideals and goodwill, ignoring the facts, also "demons"?
If desire is already a demon, then right mindfulness is naturally a Buddha!

Rumble…

As more and more Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Vajra Arhats, and Wisdom Kings and Heavenly Consorts are born.

Within the underlying logic that constitutes the Great Free Heaven, a long-dormant will is awakening.

Just like the Primordial Heavenly Demon that Li Boyang transformed into, He is also a collection of the desires of all living beings and is a part of this Great Free Heaven.

The strength and order of Shiva also influence His existence.

[Primordial Heavenly Demon?]

Formless and intangible yet omnipresent, the awakened Heavenly Demon quickly noticed the newly born Demon Kings.

Although they are demon kings, they are in direct opposition to demon kings who are born from desire.

Just like the two sides of the same coin, not all demon kings are the same.

Because of the distinction between righteous and evil thoughts, these two types of demons are destined to fight even more fiercely.

As the saying goes, heretics are the real enemy, not heretics!

Is He trying to divide my power?

Such a thought flashed through his mind, but the Heavenly Demon quickly dismissed the guess.

Although the Primordial Demon forcibly created two types of demon kings through its own will, the foundation of the Great Free Heaven itself was not damaged.

On the contrary, the demons could clearly sense that the Great Lord of Freedom was becoming increasingly powerful.

His own strength also far exceeded his previous peak state.

[Who exactly is He who constructs this cycle in such a way?]

The possibility that the Primordial Demon was an incarnation of Laozi and Zhuangzi was immediately denied.

Because the Heavenly Demon himself inherited the wisdom and knowledge of Laozi and Zhuangzi, he was very clear that the old bastard definitely did not have this ability.

Or rather, if that old bastard really had that ability.

It wouldn't have taken so long to finally have to go back to the Great Free Heaven of this era's evolution.

Could it be the Dao Ancestor?

Upon realizing this, the Heavenly Demon's heart trembled involuntarily.

Compared to other enlightened beings who sought to glimpse the "Great Freedom Path," the Heavenly Demon felt that this method of checks and balances, this cycle, was exactly the same as that of the legendary Dao Ancestor.

This leads to new problems.

Did the Dao Ancestor discover his own existence? Did he guess his origins?

The Heavenly Demon inherited Laozi and Zhuangzi's desires, so he understood the terror of the Dao Ancestor better than anyone else.

When it was discovered that the one who had intervened in the evolution of the Great Free Heaven was very likely the Dao Ancestor of this era, the Heavenly Demon chose to remain silent.

In an instant, everything seemed to return to calm.

Even Li Boyang could only catch a fleeting tremor in the Great Free Heaven.

When he tried to go deeper, all he could see was a churning sea of desire and trembling demon kings.

[Mara, the Demon King?]

Gazing at the demon lurking in the sea of desire, Li Boyang pondered this.

[It seems this Heavenly Demon is not merely a product of the failed attempt to attain enlightenment...]
