Daily prayer: The devout should give everything for the emperor, including their life and soul.

Foreword:

Since the First Rebel, the Great Raider, Azeroth's Abaddon, destroyed the Cardia Fortress, countless worlds of the Empire have cried out for help, hoping the Empire would lend a hand and save them from despair and suffering.

However, the Nephilim and other star sectors remained eerily silent, without panicked screams or desperate pleas for help.

This unusual reaction attracted the attention of the Supreme Council of the Tribunal in the western part of the galaxy.

The first to conduct the investigation was Inquisitor Scarus, a member of the Holy Hammer Order.
He led a well-trained exorcism squad into the Silent Zone, and when they reached the edge of the Nephilim Sector, they encountered fleeing refugees.
According to their descriptions, rebellions have broken out in multiple worlds. They were not bewitched by the Chaos God, nor were they recruited by the Xenomorphs; rather, they wanted to escape their own worlds.

Even the alien creatures hidden among the stars are on the run, and they are willing to go to war with the human empire in order to escape as quickly as possible.

The Scalus Inquisitor encounters a Star Speaker who warns him that the suffocating veil will turn starlight into darkness.

Out of duty to the Emperor, the Scalus Inquisitors continued their journey into the realm of silence.

The accompanying navigator quickly noticed the anomaly.

The warp in the Neferim sector was unusually calm; the raging warp waves within the Neferim sector were as still as glass.

There were no screams of demons, no wails of the dead; everything was so peaceful that it gave the illusion that the chaotic storm raging across the entire warp did not exist.

However, as time went on, Judge Scarus became increasingly in-depth.
Interstellar communication began to be interfered with, and the subspace engine frequently malfunctioned, making faster-than-light travel impossible.

More importantly, his entourage began to feel monitored and anxious, becoming listless and uneasy.

Overwhelmed by exhaustion, weakness, and despair, the crew members refused to speak or move.

The psionicists and navigators on board became weakened and unable to use warp powers.

This situation also occurred in the missing Khalids battle group.

The planet, which should have been teeming with colonists, was pristine and empty.
Whether it's a power plant, an agricultural complex, a spaceport, a mining site, or a military fortress, they're all deserted and mysteriously disappeared.

In the Silent Realm, the warship carrying the Scalus Inquisitor detected a mysterious energy signal.

He followed the energy signal to the planet Rydes, and when he officially entered the surface to conduct exploration, he photographed the planet's surface from orbit.

Giant black obelisks stand on the ground, continuously emitting a certain kind of fluctuation.

The closer the psionicists got to these obelisks, the more pain they endured. Several, unable to bear the torment, chose to shoot themselves.

The Scalus judge went to the surface to investigate.

Seven Terran days later, Judge Scarus went missing.

Thirty Terra days later, the battle barge carrying the Inquisitor Scalus, the Eternal Flame, lost contact and went unanswered no matter how many times it was called, and was officially listed as a missing ship.

The Supreme Council of the Imperial Inquisition decided to appoint Judge Dragos to investigate the incident.

Task 1:

Lead the Emperor's chosen people to the world of Rydes to find the missing Inquisitor and analyze the material composition and the purpose of the special energy fluctuations of the Black Obelisk.

Task 2:

Locate the missing Khalids battle group and determine the fate of its commander, Maren.

I wish you great success in your investigation.

May the Emperor protect you!

Terra's Supreme Court.

The battle barge, Dawn of Victory.

Judge Drax awoke with a start, panting heavily.

He had another terrible nightmare.

The pitch-black night obscured the stars, and black holes appeared above every world, sucking away people's souls and leaving only lifeless bodies. As a powerful psyker, Drax knew all too well the deep bond between the human soul and the warp.

When dreams persist and exhibit a discernible pattern, it indicates some kind of enlightenment and guidance from one's own spirituality.

Some demons exploit this to lure mortals astray.
However, some psychics with strong willpower can use this to glimpse their future destiny.

Dragos got up and paced back and forth, pondering his recent dream, trying to find some clues.

But his thoughts were in turmoil, and he couldn't figure out what was going on.

"My lord, we are about to enter the Neferim sector."

The captain's voice came through the comms, "But something's very wrong, you need to come and take a look."

"I'll be there right away."

Dragos summoned his servants to dress him in power armor.

Once everything was ready, he picked up his weapon and headed to the bridge.

I'm going to strangle you.

"In the name of the Emperor, be slain, you demons!"

"Khorne dares not face me, is it because a king does not meet a king, or is he avoiding my sharp edge?!"

Upon entering the bridge, Dragos saw the Chosen Ones in complete chaos.
They belonged to the Battle Roses Legion and were tasked with accompanying him on this investigation.

If it were anyone else, Dragos would have already reprimanded them.

They might even be severely punished.

But when faced with the chosen ones, he chose to ignore them.

We can't afford to mess with them, we really can't afford to mess with them. They can actually summon the emperor and borrow the emperor's power.

Dragos walked over to the captain. "What happened?"

"The power of the subspace engines has decreased; the suppression of subspace in this area is too strong," the captain said.

"How far are we from our destination?" Dragos asked.

"Originally, we expected a three-day journey, but now it's estimated to take a week, and the risks are very high." The captain looked troubled.

"No matter the cost, we must reach the world of Rydes." Dragos's attitude was resolute.
Faced with the demands of a Grand Inquisitor, the captain had no choice but to comply, even though he was very unwilling.

The survey fleet, led by the battle barge "Victory Dawn," entered the silent zone.
The navigators, star speakers, and combat psionicists all felt suffocated; their psionic energy was severely suppressed.

While the power of the subspace engine continued to increase, it struggled to extract enough subspace energy for faster-than-light travel.
As mentioned in the mission report, people also fell into negative states such as fatigue, self-doubt, and weakness.

But the blessings and prayers of the chosen ones could alleviate the symptoms, which made Drax very grateful to have them by his side.

As the survey fleet ventured deeper into the Silent Realm, the Geller Force Field, which was supposed to protect them, collapsed instantly.

Just when Drax thought a great war between humans and demons was about to break out, he found that not a single demon came to attack them.

Despite the bizarre and unusual circumstances, the investigation fleet persisted in its voyage and eventually arrived at the world of Rydes.
We also saw the Eternal Flame hovering in the planet's orbit.

"Board the ship and search for clues."

Dragos acted decisively, immediately ordering his men to approach the Eternal Flame in an attempt to find clues to the various strange events.

"Let's go, let's follow the mission process."

The little alpaca called to its companions and followed the Grand Inquisitor onto the ship.

P.S.: I was a bit lazy today and didn't manage to write 4,000 words, wasting a leave slip. I'm so upset.
