This Warhammer game is awesome!!

Chapter 265 Coz: I'm just fighting for my pride

Chapter 265 Coz: I'm just fighting for my pride (Part 2)

Ryan's words shocked both Guilliman and Qin Yun.

Koz!!
Wasn't this guy already dead?

After Devon World resolved the devastating storm

Collapsed in faith, Coz begged Saint Gilles to bring him before the Emperor.
He wanted to gain his father's forgiveness and return to the empire.

Saint Gilles mocked the midnight ghost, saying he would never have a chance at redemption and would forever live in guilt and regret.

Finally, Saint Gilles imprisoned Coz in a stasis coffin and threw him into the void, to face the bullshit fate he had sworn would never change.

After the Horus rebellion ended,

A merchant ship named Sheldon discovered the stasis coffin containing Kurtz.

Those poor fools thought they were about to get rich, but they accidentally released Koz.

The crew of the Sheldon were no match for Kurtz; all but one psychic were killed.

Besides the crew members, among the people Coz killed was an assassin lurking on the merchant ship.

Before the assassin died,

The coordinates of Koz were sent out, allowing the Assassin's Court to pinpoint the location of this traitorous Primarch.

The Sheldon was an ordinary merchant ship without a warp drive.

It uses a conventional engine to travel between two star systems, transporting goods and earning profits from the price difference.
Each journey takes several years.

During this time, Kurtz kept that mortal man as a pet.
If I'm in a bad mood, I'll cut off a piece of meat, or chop off an arm or something.
If I'm in a good mood, I'll teach the other person how to operate the spaceship.

After a period of training, this ordinary man was successfully transformed into a seasoned boatman.

Koz had this mortal send him to the desolate planet Tagusa.

There, Coz called upon his children to witness his death.

The Midnight Lords, scattered throughout the galaxy, flocked to the world of Tagusa.

Under their watchful eyes, the assassins sent by the Assassin's Court easily killed Koz, who had given up resisting.

Coates believed in the principle of guilt by punishment.
Because of the Great Expedition and some unexpected events, he stubbornly believed that he was guilty and had to die as prophesied in order to demonstrate justice.

Therefore, he did not resist and allowed the assassin to kill him.

Before he died, he also demanded that the Night Lords not retaliate against the assassins.

Unfortunately, he had long lost his prestige among those midnight lords.

The assassin was torn to pieces before he could get very far.

"Kotz, has this menace come back to life?"

Guilliman paced back and forth.
He had a particularly deep impression of this bastard brother.

During the Great Expedition,

Conrad Coates is a very eccentric guy.

They like to use torture and killing to create fear, thereby forcing those worlds to submit.

Then, for some unknown reason, they blew up their own home planet.
Since then, it has become even crazier.

Every planet they conquered was littered with corpses.

The once prosperous world was ravaged by them, leaving only ruins and mutilated corpses everywhere.

Later, he colluded with Horus, perpetrating the landing site massacre and torturing Vulcan.

They perpetrated numerous horrific massacres and even wreaked havoc in the Makula.

Guilliman's eyes darkened as he thought about Macurag.

That beast, Coz

He not only killed his most beloved son, Auguston, but also attempted to kill his foster mother.

“Perhaps, this guy was never really dead,” Ryan said. “The Primarchs have incredible vitality; some of their brothers even have the ability to resurrect indefinitely.”

"Koz may also have the ability to resurrect, or there is another possibility: that the assassin did not actually kill Koz at the time."

"It cannot be ruled out that this news is fake, a smokescreen released by those traitors."

"Whether it's true or false, we need to be cautious about this." Qin Yun looked at Ryan. "Your equipment should be upgraded."

Ryan glanced at his equipment.

They were wearing a modified, new type of power armor.

The weapon was newly forged and was quite powerful; he also had the shield left by his father.

"I think my gear is alright."

“No one can be sure what changes have occurred to Koz over the past ten thousand years, so it’s better to be cautious,” Qin Yun said firmly. “I will forge new equipment for you as soon as possible and then have the Chosen One deliver it to you.”

“That works too. To deal with a guy like Coz, the more trump cards you have, the better.” Ryan didn’t refuse and readily accepted Qin Yun’s suggestion.

As people get older, they become more open-minded about many things.

In the past, Ryan would never have allowed anyone to speak to him in such a tone.

They would not accept advice from others.

Now, Ryan understood a principle: 'Listen to advice, and you'll eat your fill.'

"Be sure to be careful. If you encounter danger, seek out the Sage." Guilliman solemnly instructed. "There's no hope of finding me. The mountains are high and the roads are far. You'll probably be dead before you even get there."

Ryan: "..."

“Guilliman, there’s a reason you’re not liked.”

"You make it sound like I can't beat that bastard Koz."

Guilliman's eyes widened. "I'm innocent! I didn't say that!"

"Don't forget what happened in Macurag. Koz is too much of a threat. I'm just worried about you and afraid you'll get hurt."

Ryan gave Guilliman a disdainful look. "If you hadn't mentioned Macurag, I wouldn't have wanted to criticize you at all!!"

"If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have had such a hard time dealing with Koz."

Guilliman was also somewhat displeased by Lane's words.

"You want to bring up old grievances, huh?"

"Then please tell me, Mr. Ryan Johnson, how did Coz get to Macurag?"

Guilliman's single sentence left Lane speechless.

After a long while, he finally managed to utter a sentence.

"It's two different things."

“Two bullshit things,” Guilliman said. “That bastard Koz has been hiding on your ship all along.”

"You failed to catch them, and now you're not even telling me?"

"This caught the entire Macurag off guard, resulting in heavy casualties among my descendants and nearly breaching the entire defense system."

Ryan said, "These are two separate things, don't mix them up."

“I’ve almost caught Koz several times, but it was because of your interference that he escaped each time.”

Guilliman retorted sharply, "You can't catch them on the warship, but you can catch them on Macragge, right? Do you need me to explain to you which is bigger, the Glory Queen-class warship or the city of Macragge?"

Ryan's face showed anger. "Koz is incredibly cunning. I had him cornered."

"If they didn't catch them, they didn't catch them. Saying that they drove the other party to a dead end is something that can only fool a three-year-old."

"What do you mean, Robert?! Are you questioning my abilities?"

"Yes, Ryan. If you can't do it yourself, don't blame others!!"

"Okay, let's give it a try. Everyone will lead a team and see who can take down Koz and who will be humiliated."

"........."

Listening to the two Primarchs arguing, Qin Yun looked helpless.

The Primarch is no different from an ordinary person!
When they get angry, they'll bring up old grievances.

"Alright, stop bringing it up. Let bygones be bygones."

"The most important thing now is to deal with Koz. That guy is cunning and not easy to deal with."

Qin Yun interrupted their argument.

The two Primarchs each snorted, turned their heads away, and looked unconvinced.

Seeing this, Qin Yun felt a little curious.

How did the three of you manage to maintain the Second Reich back then?
Given today's situation,

They can stay together for a maximum of three months before parting ways.

Under Qin Yun's suppression, Guilliman and Lane stopped arguing, but neither of them gave each other a friendly look.

After finishing their conversation, Ryan turned his head away, snorted, and hung up the call.

“Sage, look at his attitude.”

Guilliman was also a little angry and hung up as well.

"I finally understand you a little. It's a miracle that you were able to complete the Great Expedition with this bunch of sons."

Looking at the black screen,
Qin Yun suddenly realized why the Emperor's attitude towards these Primarchs was so strange and unpredictable.

The eighteen sons disliked each other and refused to submit to one another.

A normal old father would probably have gone crazy long ago.

Ugh……

A mournful sigh rang out, carrying with it the sorrow of millennia.

Qin Yun slapped his forehead.
The son is abnormal, and the father is abnormal too.
"What the hell are you doing all day long?! All you do is focus on me and the players, right?!"

In the vast communications room, only Qin Yun's voice echoed.

It makes one wonder if the lamentation just now was real.

"You play dead the moment this kind of thing is mentioned? You've gone too far, Old Huang!!"

No matter how much Qin Yun complained, the sighs from before never came again.

After giving a thorough rant, Qin Yun returned to Nocturne Star.

He was going to build weapons for Ryan and create a completely new set of power armor.
It is necessary not only to integrate the most powerful and advanced technologies, but also to incorporate fragments of the dimensional space to give it extraordinary power.

…………

The Stone Fortress.

Ryan reviewed the intelligence sent back by the advance team.

"Could the news be true? Coz really is here?!"

The Dark Empire established by the traitorous Midnight Lords
Contrary to Azrael's and others' expectations, order did not collapse, leaving only chaos and slaughter.
Conversely, planets controlled by the Night Lords are generally safe and have high administrative efficiency.

Ryan had looked up some information on the Night Lords and knew that these guys had long since become completely corrupt.
Whenever a planet is conquered, a massacre and all sorts of atrocities are inevitable.

And now, they are actually in power.

"They killed the corrupt bureaucrats and powerful figures, and displayed their heads in the streets as a warning to the remaining officials."

Azrael presents a data projection to the lion.
It contains photos taken by the advance team.

The photos show people who have been executed.

Each of them was tortured and covered in wounds, their faces still bearing traces of fear.

Corpses and heads were hung on execution racks in the street.

Some of them were even rotting and emitting a foul stench, yet no one dared to put them down.

Based on the intelligence gathered, the deceased were gang members and corrupt officials.

After examining the photos in his hand, Ryan turned on the star map projection, showing them their current location in the Gatan system.

The main void forces in this galaxy have been destroyed.

Most of the Night Lords' warships were reduced to fragments, burning in the void.

Several orbital stations are also engaged in fierce fighting, with the Empire gaining the upper hand and the battle expected to end soon.

"Whether Koz is here or not, this star system will be returned to the Empire."

"Give the chosen ones the task of cleaning up this world."

“Understood, my lord.” Azrael nodded and turned to relay the lion’s orders.

“Coz, if you were still alive, I would grab you, break your limbs, and make you kneel before your father and beg for forgiveness.”

Ryan stared at the projection floating in front of him and clenched his fist.

…………

The transport barge shook violently.
Accompanied by the dull, barely audible crackling sound of the Void Shield generator activating, shrill alarms filled the air.
The noise suddenly disappeared at a certain moment.
It broke through the enemy's last void defenses and approached the planet's orbit.
Immediately afterwards, more than a dozen transport ships, resembling steel behemoths, flew out and headed straight for the ground.

Inside a transport ship.

"I'm a top student at the Air Force Academy, and I've done a lot of training in parachute operations."

"I'll show you a couple of tricks later, and show you what a standard airborne procedure looks like!!"

The player with the ID "Silent Night Sky" boasted to his companion next to him.
"Don't you have to finish your studies if you play games with us?" someone asked curiously.

"Our teacher had us do simulation training in a game, saying it's quite realistic," Silent Night Sky said.
"The high-altitude response and airflow were handled very well, as well as the battlefield."

"Moreover, playing games is like sleeping, so it doesn't affect your classes during the day."

The other players nodded in agreement after hearing his explanation.

"Is Warhammer Online really this extreme now? It's even being used as a training subject in military academies!!"

"Once this game is officially released, it will probably generate several small profits a day."

"A few small goals? I dare say that within three months, the developer of Warhammer Online will become a phenomenal company with revenue exceeding one trillion from a single game, creating a wealth myth in no time."

"........."

Just as the players were chatting enthusiastically, the transport ship suddenly shook.
The players' helmet HUD panels showed that they had entered the stratosphere.

It is still fifty kilometers above the ground.

Director Qi glanced at the silent night sky where he was boasting enthusiastically, then waved to him.

"Young man, come here, I have something good to show you."

"What's wrong?" Silent Night Sky looked puzzled and got up to go over.

"You stand here." Director Qi gestured for Silent Night Sky to stand at the open hatch.

"Very good, keep this posture."

"What you learned before was the airdrop method in school. Now I'll teach you the standard airdrop method in Warhammer Online."

No sooner had he finished speaking than Director Qi kicked the silent night sky, sending him sprawling down.

what!what!what!
The silent night sky, caught completely off guard, suddenly erupted in howl.
Others had to lower the volume of their communicators.

Director Qi turned his head and looked at the other players.
"Our power armor has thrusters or wings, so don't think about any parachute techniques. Our technique is to just jump down."

"It's all about looking cool and showing off."

"Now it's your turn. Anyone who's too scared to jump, just tell me and I'll kick you off."

Several players walked to the hatch, poked their heads out to look, and their eyes widened in surprise.

"That height, isn't it exaggerated? Jumping down like that?"

"Wow, you really don't value your brothers' lives."

"It's too high, my legs are weak."

"........."

Director Qi, too lazy to listen, kicked them all out, one after another.

For a time, the sounds of ghosts wailing and wolves howling filled the air.

To avoid looking too disheveled, the remaining players had no choice but to line up and jump down one by one.

The same was true for the players on the other transport ships; for a moment, the sky was filled with tiny players falling at high speed.

The ground defenders quickly spotted them.

A hail of bullets rained down on them, dense and covering the entire sky.

However, because the target was too small and the falling speed was too fast, the hit rate of bullets and lasers was very poor.

Apart from a few unlucky ones who got shot down in mid-air, most players landed safely.

"Kill all these bastards."

Having adjusted to the quiet night sky, it adjusted its flight attitude.
Successfully crossed the violet-colored void shield.

They landed on a magnificent, large fortress.

boom! boom! boom!
He kept pulling the trigger, shooting down the mortals who served the Lord of the Night.

The mortals scattered and fled, and the roaring cannons gradually quieted down.

His other companions landed beside him, fired at distant targets, and then formed a squad to advance rapidly.

Three midnight lords appeared before the silent night sky.
The sky's gunfire illuminated their spiked armor and helmets adorned with demonic faces.
"Your end has come."

Shouting in the silent night sky

The bomb gun continued firing, sparks flashing from its exhaust port, the bullets hurling the Midnight Lord high into the air.
Their weapons were all improved and far more powerful than the old bomb guns.

The players' combat power is extremely astonishing.
The midnight lords were routed.
Whether in ranged or melee combat, they were no match for him and were taken down one after another.

"Charge, brothers! If you're too slow, you'll miss out on kills!"

"Little bats, your grandpa's here."

"I am the Joker of Gotham, and I have come to hunt down Batman."

"........."

The players cheered continuously.
They fought bravely and fearlessly, completely disregarding their own lives.

The Midnight Lords suffered repeated defeats.

Faced with these creatures clad in bizarre armor, they felt a profound sense of powerlessness.
No matter how hard they tried, the other side could easily break through their defenses.

The ground troops suffered a series of defeats and lost positions one after another.

…………

Seven or eight Midnight Lords were trapped inside a fortress by Director Qi and other players.

“Little bats, you have nowhere to run. Lay down your weapons immediately and try to get lenient treatment.”

"I am the Joker of Gotham, and I have come for you."

"..."

The players fired shots and shouted, trying to get the midnight lords to surrender.

Seeing that the enemy neither surrendered nor possessed overwhelming firepower,
Director Qi hardened his heart and shouted at a player next to him (ID: World Language),

"Go, bring over that thermal beam cannon from before."

Esperanto's eyes widened. "That's an anti-aircraft gun!! A level anti-aircraft gun, a military tribunal? Never heard of that??"

Director Qi kicked the other person, "Stop talking nonsense. Only the loser has to go to a military court. What's the point of the winner going to a military court?" "If the target wasn't so small, I would have called for orbital bombardment."

"OK, I'll go pull the cannon." World Language chuckled and happily led a few players to pull the molten cannon they had seen earlier.

That thermoelectric cannon was a massive machine, standing six meters tall.
When it was pushed over, cracks appeared in the solid cement floor.

The cannon's diameter was so exaggerated that it could reduce that fortress to ashes.

"Quick, give him a shot."

"Aiming point."

"I told you to surrender earlier, but you didn't. Now you have no chance."

"..."

The players were incredibly excited, watching as players like World Language pushed the Molten Cannon forward and aimed it at the distant fortress.

Refill battery, adjust output parameters, lock onto target, and store energy.
Just as the thermomelting cannon was about to fire,

A black figure descended from the sky and landed on the cannon.

With a flash of cold light, a section of the barrel of that exaggeratedly large thermoplastic cannon was missing.

Then, with a deafening roar, the charged thermoelectric cannon exploded out of control.

A mushroom cloud rose slowly, its bright light resembling the sun.

Players instinctively closed their eyes and sought shelter from the bright light.

The next second, screams rang out as players were killed and logged off one after another.

"Holy crap!! Midnight Ghost!!"

Director Qi, being a veteran, reacted the fastest.
They immediately summoned Zerg units stored in the warehouse to protect themselves.

Although those Zerg units were sliced to pieces by the attackers in the blink of an eye,

Director Qi, however, had time to react.

When the bright light disappeared, he saw the guy who attacked the player.

The opponent was tall, like a giant, no less than a lion or Guilliman.

His eyes were completely black, his face was pale, and his long hair was draped over his shoulders.

As a fan of the Hammer, Director Qi recognized the guy in front of him at a glance.

"Midnight Ghost—Coz? How are you still alive?"

Koz stopped what he was doing and stared at the chosen one before him.
"It's quite interesting that he, as my father's new soldier, actually knows me!!"

The appearance of Koz silenced the battlefield instantly.

The players looked at each other in disbelief, never expecting that a traitorous Primarch would appear.

The Night Lords, who had been hiding in the fortress, also emerged and stood beside their Primarchs.

However, judging from their surprised and fearful looks, their relationship with Coz was not pleasant.

If they had a choice, they would never stay with Coz.

At this moment, the silence of the battlefield was broken by a loud shout.

"Midnight Ghost, do you dare to fight me?"

Holding a chainsaw sword, he charged towards Koz in the silent night sky.

The Midnight Lords were stunned.
Whose subordinate is so brave as to challenge the original body?

The young players also gave it a thumbs up.

"Brilliant."

"It was incredibly violent."

"I have to give them a thumbs up."

"If you fight the Primarch, you'll end up with bruises all over your body."

"You're wrong, it should be pieces from the east and pieces from the west."

"........."

The next second, before anyone could even see the Midnight Ghost's movements clearly,
It flew out into the silent night sky, turning into a pile of fragments in mid-air and scattering all over the ground.

"Good brother, I will avenge you."

A player next to him (ID: Jizhen Tiemantou) shouted,
Judging from his armor style and spray paint pattern, he is clearly a player with the White Scar gene seed.

Jizhen Iron Bun activated his Guan Dao and charged towards Koz.
The outcome was as expected; he was instantly killed.
It was also scattered here and there.

"Let's all attack together." Director Qi knew that challenging the Primarch one by one was like offering himself up as food, so he directly called on everyone to attack together.

"kill!!"

"Slay the Midnight Ghost, bestow upon him the Order of the Skyhawk, and appoint him Governor of the Star District."

"..."

The players swarmed in, only to be slaughtered by Koz.

"I am the Joker of Gotham, I..."

Before one player could finish shouting, everything went black and he was logged off.

Director Qi was the one who held out the longest, enduring five blows before being sent flying.

Director Qi tried to stand up, but felt a sharp pain in his abdomen.

Looking down, I discovered a shocking wound on my abdomen.

“The game is over now.” Koz lunged at Director Qi, ready to rip out the man’s heart.

Zheng!
A sword blocked Coz's claws.

The clash of swords and claws sparked a bright burst of light.

A tall figure draped in a flowing cloak emerged from the mist, standing between Director Qi and Conrad Coates.

"Koz, I'll be your opponent."

Koz stopped what he was doing, looked at the newcomer, and smiled at the man's gray hair and aged face.

"Long time no see, my brother. I never imagined you'd have gotten so old."

“I never expected that scum like you would still be alive.” Ryan held a shield in one hand and a sword in the other, staring intently at Koz.

"I never expected you to ask such a question!! How could monsters like us die so easily?"

Koz gave a mocking smile.

"After all, we are Father's most outstanding creations..."

“Shut up, don’t mention Father,” Ryan interrupted Coz. “You have no right to mention Him.”

“You have destroyed everything He fought for.”

The lion, sword and shield in hand, launched an attack on the midnight ghost.

The two Primarchs engaged in a fierce battle.
Everything around them was torn apart by the aftershocks released by the two.

"Coz blocked the lion's sword and raised his voice, "I am also His son, why can't I mention him?"

"All that He fought for was destroyed by Himself; no one forced Him to appoint Horus as the warlord."

"No one forced Him to torment Angron, and no one forced Him to use dark methods to conquer the entire galaxy."

"He created a group of monsters, but could not control them, and ultimately suffered the consequences."

“Countless times, I have reflected on my mistakes. I should have thoroughly cleansed Northum back then.”

“Perhaps eradicating those ancient, evil families from the people will ensure that Northum becomes a model world where everyone can be happy.”

"So I established this empire, I dragged out all the sinners, tortured them to death, and in this way, I obtained one exemplary planet after another."

"The empire I have built is a hundred times, a thousand times, ten thousand times better than the one my father built."

"And what has our Father done? Has He ever reflected on His actions? Has He ever repented for His sins?"

"You're a madman, stop showing off your theories." Ryan swung his sword, his movements never faltering.

"Ha! Ha! Ha!" Koz burst into wild laughter.

After once again driving back the lion, the midnight ghost leaped up and landed on a tower.

Coz pointed to the smaller corpse among the five bodies hanging in the tower.
“Look at this little guy, he’s only eight years old. You should feel sorry for him and think I’m a heinous criminal.”

“Isn’t that right?” Ryan said.
"no no!"

Coz held up a finger and shook it.

"His mother was a member of parliament, and his father was the head of a large corporation. He bullied his classmates at school, maiming eight of them and killing three. He also tortured and killed several of his own nannies."

"But the laws of this planet can't govern him; instead, ordinary people who appeal are being persecuted one after another."

“Until I arrived, the family knelt on the ground, said they were wrong, said they would not do it again, and begged me to give them a chance.”

“My condition is very simple: as long as the victims’ families don’t pursue the matter, I can let them go.”

"So, the noble ones knelt before the poor people they had once looked down upon, weeping and begging for forgiveness from the victims' families."

“But those victims only wanted their whole family to die. They begged me to make a fair judgment, so the family’s bodies are now hanging here.”

“Everyone I kill is guilty, but the people you kill here are all innocent.”

"What do you want to say?" Ryan activated the flight function of his armor, leaped into the air, and slashed at Koz again.

The two Primarchs clashed in the tower, their terrifying power causing the tower to teeter on the brink of collapse, with dust and smoke falling from it.

“I’m not doing this to tell you how great I am; I just want to prove myself.”

"I just want to tell everyone that I did nothing wrong, you are the ones who are wrong."

Koz looked at the lion in front of him and said, word by word.

“Koz, you’re a madman as always,” Ryan said. “Fear can’t truly rule an empire; it only brings endless trouble.”

“But now, it’s beautiful.” Coz lunged at his brother.

The lion moved swiftly, pouncing to the left.

A sharp whooshing sound rang out as sharp claws sliced through the air where he had just been standing.

Silence, deadly, a raid that midnight ghosts can be proud of.

Ryan turned around and used his shield to block yet another attack.

The blade and claws clashed, producing a terrifying sound.

The lion deflected the attack of the sharp claws with its shield, then swung its sword to thrust at its opponent.
boom!
Koz's body exploded into a cloud of black mist, then quickly reformed.
The lion's left side was exposed.

Koz attacked like a viper, his right hand's lightning claw stabbing into the gap between the shoulder armor and the neck guard.

The lion turned its body, its shield blocking Coz's claws.

A harsh, grating sound rang out.
Sharp claws sliced across the shield's surface, sparking bright flashes.

"Damn it!! You're acting like a coward who only knows how to use a turtle shell."

Coz's face was gloomy.

This shield is in the way.

"You don't like it?" Ryan scoffed. "That just proves I did the right thing."

Director Qi was helped up by the other surviving players.

But they didn't go far; instead, they stood not far away watching the two Primarchs duel.

"The bat and the lion meet and fight—a historic moment! Quick, record it!"

Who do you think will win this time?

"Lion, I hope the bat won't get its back broken again."

"Haha, to be honest, I'd love to see that iconic scene recreated."

"........."

The players lowered their voices in discussion, but the Primarch's ears were too sensitive.

Coz overheard their conversation.
When she heard about the lion breaking her back, she immediately broke down.

"Where did you find this bunch of weirdos?!"

Koz forced Ryan away, his eyes revealing hostility.

“You’ll have to ask our father about that.” Ryan swung his sword again, aiming at Koz. “Don’t worry, you’ll see Him soon.”

“I will break your limbs and then make you kneel before the throne to repent.”

Zheng~
The sword and claws clashed, producing a clanging sound.

After fighting for a while, Koz realized that his attacks were being blocked by the opponent's shield.
"Alright, the game's over, my brother. It's time to show you what I'm really made of."

With a bang, Koz vanished into thin air, turning into a cloud of black mist.
"I am no longer who I used to be; I am now fear itself."

The darkness, as if come alive, lunged at Ryan.
A mist, seemingly appearing out of nowhere, rolled out and enveloped the battlefield of the two Primarchs.

A lush forest was faintly visible through the mist.
Ryan's figure vanished from Koz's sight in an instant.

Kurz was stunned for a moment.
When did Ryan acquire such a bizarre ability?!

The next second, a shield appeared from the mist.
boom!
A bewildered Koz was struck by the Imperial Shield that appeared from the mist.

Accompanied by a piercing scream,

The black mist dissipated, and Koz's body reappeared.

The armor of Midnight Ghost was smashed open and cracked.

"no!!"

How can Ryan be so strong?!
Koz suddenly began to doubt the meaning of life.
Before, they could fight back and forth, but now that he has awakened his warp nature, he has transformed into darkness and terror.

How come we're still getting dominated by the opponent?!
Did the old father, slumped on his throne, bless this guy?

Damn it! !
Realizing that Ryan had also awakened to the nature of the warp,
Koz knew he was no match for them in this situation.
They decided to retreat first and find a good place to fight again.

"I'll be waiting for you in Tagusa. We'll fight to the death there."

After saying that, Koz transformed into darkness, engulfing the Midnight Lords within him, and vanished from the spot in an instant.

“Conrad Coates!” Lane rushed over. “You treacherous bastard, get back here.”

"Don't be a coward, come back."

"See you in Tagusa, my brother." Koz's voice faded into the distance, becoming increasingly ethereal.

“Damn it,” Ryan roared, “get back here, you coward.”

The dark lords, including Azrael, who had rushed over, stared in shock at the enraged lion.

This was the first time they had personally experienced the rage of a lion.

No wonder Zabril thought the lion would kill them all.
If I were to face a lion in a fit of rage, I'm afraid I would have the same thoughts.

Koz escaped.

The traitors of the Gatan world were powerless against the Imperial forces.
It was wiped out within hours, and the Empire's double-headed eagle flag once again flew over this suffering world.

There was a little incident during that time.

The surviving nobles were ecstatic, believing that with the Imperial forces recapturing the Gatan system, they could finally purge the commoners who had replaced them.
Ryan, however, ordered the continued purge of these powerful figures, holding them accountable for the loss of land, while simultaneously reassuring the capable new officials and encouraging them to continue their work.

Although they were promoted by Coates, they were highly capable and honest.

After careful consideration, Ryan decided to continue employing them.

It doesn't matter if a cat is black or white, as long as it catches mice, it's a good cat!
Regardless of who appoints them, those who are capable, loyal to the emperor, and bring happiness to the people are good.

…………

Inside a starship in subspace,

The tenth prophet, Talos, stood before Koz, who had fled from the world of Gatan.

“Father, are you alright?” Talos asked. “You look injured.”

Koz's tone was icy. "It's just a small matter, nothing serious."

"Father, your injuries seem quite serious, perhaps..."

Before the Midnight Lord could finish speaking, Coz's claws ripped through his visor, leaving a gruesome wound.

The sharp claws finally stopped at the throat of the midnight lord.

"Are you questioning me?"

Upon hearing this, Talos and the others' expressions changed drastically, and they all knelt down.

Fearing that Coz would go on a killing spree,
This isn't the first time the Primarch has done this.
When they first encountered him, he would slaughter one-tenth of his offspring to establish his absolute rule.

“Father, I didn’t.” The Midnight Lord also knelt on the ground and begged for mercy.

"Get out, all of you." Koz waved his hand, and Talos and the others breathed a sigh of relief and left, leaving only the Primarch alone in the room.

After his offspring withdrew, Coz's legs went weak, and he almost fell over.
It consumes too much energy.
But he couldn't show his weakness in front of these offspring.

A small portion of this group genuinely supported him.

The vast majority were forced into submission by Koz's horrific methods.
They hate him just as much as he hates them.

Towards the end of the Great Crusade, Coz became aware of the Legion's problems.

Initially, the Night Lord's soldiers were all from respectable families with clean backgrounds and high moral standards.

Such a legion, even when employing fear tactics, will know when to stop and stop once its objective is achieved.

However, later on, the Night Lord's troops were all scum and degenerates from the prison.

What was originally a good fear tactic was turned into a massacre.

By the time Koz realized something was wrong, the entire Midnight Lords Legion was already completely rotten.

From that time on, Coz hesitated about whether to purge the legion.
But upon closer examination, it became clear that if a purge were to take place, only a handful of people would be found innocent.

There was nothing he could do but give up.

After resting for a while, Koz regained his energy.

"I never imagined that ten thousand years later, I would become stronger, but Ryan has also changed."

"That forest and the mist were so eerie that he became the hunter, while I became the prey."

"We still need to think of a way to solve this problem!!"

Koz knew Ryan's temperament; he would never give up until he caught him.

But he didn't intend to continue fleeing.
The world of Tagusa will be the place where the brothers settle their score.

My brother, you won before.

This time, I'm confident of victory.
