Douluo Dalu: The Eyes That Defy Fate
Chapter 66 Vina's Confusion
Chapter 66 Vina's Confusion
A strange answer emerged.
This time it was Lin Po's turn to be confused. What the hell, an admirer?!
Girl, do you know what you are saying?! You shouldn't say that!
You and Long Aotian should have already made eye contact by this time! What's this? Can I still have a Minotaur plot?
Lin Po had a strange look in his eyes, staring at the girl in front of him with suspicion.
"Vina, are you sure no one has cast a spell on you today?"
A few black lines appeared on Vina's originally rosy face, but she nodded without hesitation!
After confirming her attitude and scanning the surroundings with his mind to make sure there was nothing unusual, Lin Po believed that this girl was serious.
"Can I ask why? We've only known each other for two days. Admiration or something like that seems a bit far-fetched to you, doesn't it?"
Vina kept fanning herself with her little hands in an attempt to lower her temperature. After hearing Lin Po's question, she began to explain.
"You are good-looking, powerful, and talented. You will also lead the Body Sect in the future. Is it strange that I admire you?"
"Ah this."
This time it was Lin Po's turn to choke, because this answer seemed to be correct. Although it was a bit narcissistic to say so, there was really no one in this era who could completely compare to him in all aspects.
The most important thing is that for the royal family and her, the princess, Lin Po is indeed the best choice.
The private room was silent for a while. The boy and girl were all thinking about their own things, and the atmosphere seemed a little dull.
After all, Vina was still a princess, and she could adjust her mentality much faster than ordinary people. In the end, it was Vina who spoke again to break the strange atmosphere.
"Is this answer okay?"
"Okay, okay, of course."
Lin Po reluctantly agreed, "Now that you've said that, and it's already been delivered to my door, how can I refuse?"
Hearing this, Vina's complexion returned to normal, which surprised Lin Po. If the tips of her fair ears were not still tinged red, he would have believed it.
"Well, then, let me share my opinion. Just so you know, there's no disparagement or bias, and it's just my opinion."
Vina breathed a sigh of relief. It was enough to say it. Then she promised Lin Po: "No one else will know about the conversation here today, including my father and the clan leader."
"That's best. Let me think about where to begin."
Lin Po did not doubt her promise. After all, if she could not make Lin Po unhappy, it would be a waste of time.
After a moment of thought, words that were enough to kill Lin Po appeared in this small room.
"Currently, it seems that the four strongest powers on Douluo Continent are Sun Moon, Xing Luo, Tian Hun, and Dou Ling. However, in my opinion, the overall situation is just that Sun Moon and the original three countries are in opposition to each other."
"It's just that there's a balance point in between. I'm sure you know it without me saying it."
Vina nodded when she heard this, "Shrek Academy."
"Yes, it was Shrek. Four thousand years ago, under Shrek's leadership, Douluo Continent defeated the invasion of the Sun and Moon Continent, and relative peace has continued to this day.
Hidden dangers are also born from this.”
"Hidden danger? What hidden danger?" Vina asked hurriedly, while Lin Po slowly drank a sip of water to moisten his throat, which made Vina very anxious.
"Because the victory in the battle brought a long period of peace, almost all the soul masters in Douluo Continent looked down on soul guides and believed that soul guides were inferior to traditional soul masters."
"But everyone deliberately overlooked one fact: before Shrek's intervention, the three original kingdoms had already been defeated by the Sun-Moon Empire's offensive.
What do you think this means, Vina?"
When Vina heard Lin Po calling her name, she came back to her senses and began to think about Lin Po's question. Sun and Moon, the Three Kingdoms, retreating step by step, Shrek, the strong.
"It means that the core forces of the Sun-Moon Empire are stronger than the Three Douluo Kingdoms?"
After hearing the correct answer, Lin Po looked at Vina with satisfaction, as if to say, I didn't expect you to be so smart.
Vina also felt uncomfortable with Lin Po's strange gaze, and twisted her slender body slightly.
"You're right. In terms of strength, the Douluo Three Kingdoms are far inferior to the Sun-Moon Empire. The quality may be slightly lower, but the Sun-Moon Empire's training method can produce a large number of mid-level soul masters. With their sheer number, they can crush all levels below Soul Saint."
Although she didn't want to admit it, this was the fact and Vina had nothing to say.
Vina, who was still thinking about how to refute, was stunned after hearing Lin Po's next words.
"The biggest problem of the Sun-Moon Empire is that they have too few strong people, so they have been looking for a solution, and this search has lasted for four thousand years."
Four thousand years?! That's right, it's been four thousand years since the last war. As long as the Sun-Moon Empire isn't stupid, they'll definitely find a solution.
Vina's voice trembled slightly as she expressed her concerns: "Did they succeed?"
"No, but it will be soon. This generation is almost there."
When she heard "no", Vina breathed a sigh of relief, but after hearing what happened next, her heart began to beat faster again.
Without giving Vina time to ask questions, Lin Po started explaining, "As far as I know, the Sun-Moon Empire currently has no fewer than ten ninth-level soul masters. The strength of a ninth-level soul master is comparable to that of a Titled Douluo. It's not an exaggeration to say that they have more than ten Titled Douluo."
"But after the Soul Saint, the combat power of the Soul Instructor is no longer as good as that of the Soul Master." Vina still wanted to struggle.
The sneer made Vina's expression stiffen.
“Oh, that’s true, but there are limits.
I can tell you this: if a Titled Douluo-level soul master were to fight a soul guide in close combat, the soul master would definitely win, but he would also have to pay a price. If he were to self-destruct while holding a ninth-level fixed-type soul guide shell before dying, no Titled Douluo would be able to withstand it.
"And once the distance is widened, the greater the distance, the greater the advantage of the soul guide. You have to know that, except for a few special spirits, even Super Douluo has a very limited attack range. Soul guides don't have this problem. The Sun-Moon Empire even has a ninth-level soul guide with an effective attack range of over thirty kilometers."
"With such a huge gap, a ninth-level soul engineer can kill a Titled Douluo by kite flying as long as he keeps his distance."
The last sentence completely broke down Vina's psychological defenses.
"The most important point is that soul masters are never good at fighting alone. They were born for large-scale warfare from the very beginning."
After talking for a long time, Lin Po seemed very happy, stopped talking, picked up the teacup and drank some water to moisten his throat, giving this silly girl some time to react.
"How could this be? No one has ever told me this."
"Humph, of course no one would tell you this. They are just people blinded by pride."
Lin Po judged the group of old antiques in Douluo Three Kingdoms with disdain.
"Vina, you have to remember one thing: weakness and ignorance have never been the biggest obstacles to human survival; arrogance is!"
"Weakness and ignorance have never been the biggest obstacles to human survival. Arrogance is, right?"
Vina murmured to herself. Unable to see the future of the Tianhun Empire, her frail body seemed to be on the verge of collapse.
Seeing this, Lin Po sat down next to Vina, reached out to support her weak body, let her lean on his shoulders, and then he stopped making any unnecessary movements.
If you ignore the girl's pale look, there is a feeling of peace and tranquility in the private room for a moment.
(ps: Please collect, please vote, please subscribe, thank you all!)
Vina should be included, but her role won't be significant. Currently, the characters I've already created are: Rui Mo (self-created), Lin Yuan (world consciousness). Future characters: Vina, Ruishou (probably not, depending on the plot adjustments), Meng Hongchen, and Zhang Lexuan. That should be about it. I'm still trying to figure out what to do with Bingdi and Xuedi. Their attributes are a bit repetitive. But I really don't want to give up Baimao.
If you have anything you would like to add, please let me know and I will see if I can write it out.
