Hogwarts: Becoming the White Lord from Breathing
Chapter 13 Hermione's Will to Win
Chapter 13 Hermione's Will to Win
After singing the school song loudly with Dumbledore, watching Peeves, and climbing from the first-floor lobby to the eighth floor, Damon couldn't help shaking his head in his heart.
The only downside to Gryffindor is that the common room is on the eighth floor, which will make it quite difficult to get there, whether for classes or meals. But - it's a bit of a hassle, since he likes these people after all.
There is a portrait hanging at the end of the corridor. In the portrait, a very rich woman is wearing pink clothes.
"Password?" she said.
"Dragon scum," said Prefect Percy.
The painting swayed forward, revealing a circular hole in the wall. Damon climbed in with great interest - inside was the Gryffindor common room.
The view was a cozy circular room filled with plush armchairs and portraits adorning the common room walls.
At the top of a spiral staircase, Daemon found his bunk—a five-poster bed draped with crimson flannel draperies. Their trunks had been brought up earlier.
Everyone was exhausted, but Harry and Neville couldn't help but say happily:
"Damon, you're in the same dorm with us! That's great!"
As for Ron and Seamus, who were hesitant to speak, they were temporarily ignored.
"Yeah, that's great, go to sleep first, kids."
Damon had already changed into his pajamas, waved to the children and fell into a deep sleep - this day had been too novel and interesting for him, and he was more or less tired.
As for the others, if they hadn't been excited by the fact that Damon was sharing a dormitory with them, they would have fallen asleep the moment they touched the bed.
First-year students at Hogwarts have very easy schoolwork.
On average, you only need to take two classes a day. Except for the astronomy class which is limited to Wednesday nights, all other classes are held during the day.
The first day of school was Monday. The schedule showed that there would be a class on Herbology and History of Magic in the morning, and free time in the afternoon and evening.
Pretty relaxing day, isn't it?
Without an alarm clock, Damon got up early that day and looked at the sunlight outside the curtain happily.
Get out of bed, change clothes, wash up, while making sure not to make too much noise.
"Kacha."
As Damon gently closed the door, the dormitory became quiet again. However, at this moment, everyone opened their eyes.
"Damon's up really early, isn't he? Class still has an hour to go."
Ron mumbled something drowsily, rolled over and buried his face in the pillow.
Harry sat up gently and glanced at the clock beside the bed - it was indeed still early. If it was someone else instead of Damon, perhaps he would have turned over and continued to sleep after hearing Ron's mumbling.
But
Harry looked at the shoes under the bed and gently opened the curtains. The sunlight came in and the air was fresh with a hint of morning mist.
Damon was so outstanding, but he still got up early and prepared everything slowly. This behavior was very unusual in Harry's opinion, but very attractive.
"Don't you think we should go to the classroom earlier?" Harry said softly to Ron, with a hint of hesitation in his tone.
Ron wrapped himself tightly in the quilt and groaned, "Why go out so early, Harry? I don't want to look like an overexcited brat."
"Ron, do you think Damon is such a person—"
"Hey! Damon is Damon, and I am me. If you want to go, go ahead. I'll sleep a little longer."
Harry didn't want to leave Ron behind, but after hearing what he said and thinking of Damon's departing back, he pursed his lips and got out of bed.
Neville and Seamus were also woken up by their conversation. After hearing that Damon had gotten up, Neville jumped up from the bed as if a needle had poked his butt, and began to wash up quietly.
Seeing that they were all up, Seamus got up as well. For a moment, only Ron was still sleeping.
When everyone had washed up and were ready to leave, Harry couldn't help but turn his head to look at Ron's bed and whispered:
"Ron, Ron, are you asleep?"
no respond.
"Kacha."
The door closed again. Ron lay in bed, his eyes wide open, but he was reluctant to get out of bed. Herbology classes were held at the back of Hogwarts Castle—a greenhouse built specifically to care for the diverse plants.
Damon walked slowly from the eighth floor to the auditorium on the first floor, admiring the magic portraits along the way with great interest - the characters in the paintings were either smiling, or frowning, and some even turned their heads and looked at him as he walked.
They found the Gryffindor dining table, and as Damon sat down, the plates on the table automatically produced bacon, sausages, baked beans, eggs, toast, juice, cereal, etc.
There are many varieties, enough to meet all kinds of needs. Even in his previous life, Damon had never lived such a luxurious life.
Daemon took out a copper coin and put it into the small leather bag tied to the owl's leg, then took a copy of the Daily Prophet from its mouth.
As the mouthpiece of the Ministry of Magic, Damon actually had little interest in the main content of the report. He just treated it as a pastime. After all, it was quite novel to see a moving newspaper.
In addition, Damon thinks that the conversations in some columns are like watching small storytelling sessions, which are quite interesting.
"What are you looking at?"
Harry and the others jogged all the way and found Damon almost immediately after he sat down, and quickly sat down next to him.
"The Daily Prophet, you can think of it as the wizarding world's gossip newspaper."
Damon handed it to Harry casually. Harry took it subconsciously and glanced at it. Apart from feeling a little novelty about the moving characters, he quickly returned it to Damon.
"Good morning, gentlemen." Hermione sat down opposite Damon. "Oh? Is this a newspaper?"
"Yes, a newspaper from the wizarding world." Damon handed it to Hermione again.
"Where did you order it? I think it will help us understand the outside world."
Compared to Harry's indifference, Hermione seemed very excited.
"One Knut is enough. You only need to buy it once, and the owl will continue to deliver it to you."
Damon put a sausage into his mouth with a happy smile on his face, but suddenly a suppressed scream sounded in his ears.
He turned his head and saw a few blushing little witches. He smiled and waved at them - the screams became more outrageous.
"Oh, this is unbearable. A beautiful morning is ruined."
Hermione rolled her eyes, returned the Daily Prophet to Damon, and quickly ate her breakfast, full of fighting spirit.
The first class today was herbal medicine, and she had reread "One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi" before going to bed yesterday.
Later, she will definitely perform better than Damon!
School song:
Hogwarts,
Hogwarts,
Hogwarts,
Hogwarts,
Please teach us knowledge.
Whether we are bald old people
It was a child who fell and hurt his knee,
Our minds can accept
Some interesting things.
Because now our minds are empty,
Filled with air,
Dead flies and trivial matters,
Teach us some valuable knowledge,
The things we have forgotten,
Give it back to us,
As long as you try your best,
The rest is up to us.
We will study hard,
Until my brain became a mess.
