Chapter 104 Is that half-blood prince really that outstanding?
Norbert looked at the little one nestled on Damon's chest, a complex mix of displeasure and nostalgia flashing in his eyes.

There was a time when she wasn't fully grown up, and she was just like this, nestled on Damon's chest. Even when fighting enemies, Damon used a shrinking spell to keep her by his side.

However, she would naturally listen to what Damon said.

Moreover, her energy is depleted by intense battles every day, leaving her with no extra strength to bother a weak creature.

After exchanging greetings, Damon led the group to the second space, which was currently untouched and a barren piece of land.

At 'Sparkling's' request, Damon waved his wand and began to transform the area.

Thunderbirds prefer places with open views, so Damon hollowed out a portion of the land, moved it to the other side, and then used magic to reshape it, gradually creating mountains and lakes.

Then, scatter some grass seeds and tree saplings that Bojinbok Store had previously given away, and heat the moisture from the snow mountain to turn it into normal-temperature rainwater that falls down.

The Thunderbird 'Sparkle' chirped merrily in the rain, seemingly enjoying the sensation.

It took Damon a total of half an hour to finish all of this—the amount of magic he consumed was a minor issue, but the main problem was that he was really not a qualified master builder. Many parts were patched up, and the result was somewhat of a 'hybrid'.

Nevertheless, Hagrid and his group were completely stunned.

Ron subconsciously looked down to confirm that they were still standing in the same place and had not moved, but there were indeed towering mountains ahead and they were standing on a high cliff.

"You live here alone, and I'll come to see you whenever I have time, is that alright?"

Damon and Shining communicated and received an affirmative answer—this kind of divine bird is inherently very aloof and can live well even on its own, only showing a certain degree of affection to its owner.

If it weren't for Damon, it wouldn't give a damn about anyone else and wouldn't show any respect—Hagrid put a huge pile of its favorite food in the corner and reinforced it with a spell, only to get a nod from Sparkle in return.

Nevertheless, he was quite pleased with himself, and he laughed like a fool as he descended the mountain.

Hermione, reluctant to leave, would often look back at 'Sparkling,' thinking, "Are we just going to leave it there all alone? It's still so small."

"Damon said it's all fine now. If you really miss it, you can come see it again later."

Harry and Ron didn't have as many concerns as she did—they were both looking at Damon with envy. He could openly keep a dragon and a thunderbird as pets, which was something to be very envious of.

When will they be able to do something so cool? After graduation?

Recalling Damon's powerful spellcasting ability, the two were filled with determination—once they returned, they would practice their spells more. If they wanted to be as dashing as Damon, they should first catch up with his spellcasting ability!

Neville, who was with Hermione, didn't think as much as they did. He just grinned foolishly—what he saw today was more exciting than what he saw in a whole semester at school—and it was the first time he had ever been interested in anything other than plants.

But Neville quickly buried this thought in his heart.

He's not very bright and can't do that much. He just needs to study plants and maybe add some magic spells.

"You guys go out first, and help me take my suitcase back to the dorm."

After leading the group to the door and unlocking the door, Damon spoke first.

"What are you going to do?"

"When it comes to fighting Norbertas, as you know, Norwegian Spinosaurus is quite aggressive."

Can we stay and watch?

Hearing that Damon was going to fight a dragon, Harry almost stopped in his tracks. Ron knew that Damon's "we" included him, and silently grinned, offering no objection.

"Not for now. Nobeta gets too excited when they fight, and I might not be able to protect you—let's wait until you can protect yourselves."

"OK then."

Harry nodded regretfully, climbed out of the suitcase, and picked it up.

"It's amazing! The world inside is so big, yet it has no weight at all?"

Hermione's eyes still gleamed, and she regretted being too reserved—if she had told Damon earlier that she wanted to see the dragon, she would have seen the world inside the box last semester.

"Yes, Harry, can I mention it for a bit too?"

Ron looked longingly at the suitcase Harry was carrying—he had only touched it a few times, and had never held it like this before.

"Of course. Let's take turns."

"Can I do it too?" Neville asked, mustering his courage.

They said goodbye to Hagrid and returned to the castle, chatting and laughing all the way.

Inside the box, Damon had already used his Transfiguration to create a golden dragon that was wrestling with Nobeta.

September passed quickly.

Although the professors' course content became much more difficult starting in the second year, it was still quite easy for Damon. Only the private tutoring from the professors became more challenging.

Snape began to have him modify different emotional memories, and the two then engaged in a mental battle, both of them looking quite exhausted at the end of each session.

Moreover, whether it's Damon's imagination or not, Snape seems to be getting more and more powerful.

Or was the other party doing it on purpose from the beginning?
Since the second week, he has been unable to glean even a trace of Snape's memories.

In addition, Snape noticed the change in Damon's technique in Potions class—the boy used to be so disciplined and methodical that he seemed like an old scholar who had appeared out of nowhere, but now he often showed off different techniques, some of which were "familiar" to him.

So, after one exchange of attacks, he casually asked:

"Your potion-brewing style seems to have changed a lot lately. Is it because you've glimpsed my memories from my student days?"

“You’re so arrogant, Professor,” Damon chuckled. “The one who taught me all that wasn’t you, it was the Half-Blood Prince.”

Snape's eyes widened suddenly. A moment later, he snapped back to reality, adopting a mocking tone he hadn't shown in a while, and said with a half-smile:

"Half-blooded prince? Where did you find this teacher? He does match your title of dueling prince quite well."

"You don't need to worry about that. Anyway, I think this teacher is quite skilled, no worse than you."

Normally, if Damon had said that, Snape would have been furious—his potion-making skills were not open to any questioning from others, not even Damon!
But now, since the person he's comparing himself to is that half-blood prince, he can only humbly accept it.

"You seem to really admire him? Is that guy, the half-blood prince, really that outstanding?"

Snape suppressed the urge to smirk and asked, feigning mockery.
