Chapter 101 Dragon Guardian

Snape's textbooks contained not only numerous potion notes, but also two spells he had created himself.

One is Levicorpus, and the other is Secretsempra.

Everything he does is in service of practical combat skills—and at a deeper level, it is a consideration of 'safety'.

“Daimon!” Flitwick urged anxiously—he didn’t want his student to suffer further harm from the Dementors.

Damon's speed was faster than his voice.

He barely needed to recall any happy memories; the moment he uttered the incantation for the Patronus Charm, a thick white mist roared out of his body in a manner far greater than ever before, its eagle-like claws seizing the Dementor and holding it firmly, preventing it from advancing even a single step further.

The Ravenclaw graduate breathed a sigh of relief, feeling the chill instantly dissipate. Looking at the terrifying creature before him, he even felt a surge of courage.

"Successfully on the first try again!"

Professor Flitwick stared wide-eyed at the magical creature before Damon—

Silvery-white light and shadow condensed and swirled in the air, and the magic of the thick fog seemed to come alive, spontaneously wriggling and taking shape in the air.

The first thing that catches the eye is a long and slender figure, its silver scales shimmering in the dim classroom. Its body is undulating, without wings, yet it floats in mid-air, its tail gently wrapped around Damon's neck. Most of its slender body takes flight, firmly pushing the Dementor back into the box.

Flitwick opened his mouth slightly. He recognized many guardian spirits—horses, wolves, owls, even phoenixes—but this one in front of him was one he had never seen before.

"What animal is this?"

The exercise has successfully concluded.

Watching the silver dragon whiskers gently sway in the air, feeling the tranquility and majesty within, Flitwick asked in amazement.

Damon scrutinized the holy-looking guardian spirit and was surprised to find that it didn't have eyes yet. A look of realization dawned on his eyes—it seemed that it was still just a little bit short.

Sure enough, this step wasn't so easy.

However, with its current power, it seems more than enough to deal with Dementors.

He could sense that if it weren't for the limitations of the space, his guardian spirit would be much larger than this—which also limited its performance. Otherwise, the Dementor in front of him would probably have retreated instantly instead of being slowly pushed back by the struggle.

"This is a dragon."

Flitwick looked at the dragon without eyes, feeling both regret and joy.
