Pokémon: Who let him leave Pallet Town?
Chapter 492 Natsume VS Adeker
Chapter 492 Natsume VS Adeker
Pokémon Center, Woody Town.
"Oh, Mr. Adek, you secretly returned to your hometown without telling anyone?"
Joey carried a basin of water and wiped the wounds on Adek's face. After cleaning them, she also used alcohol wipes and tweezers to clean the dense, gravel-covered cuts on Adek's face.
"It's still more comfortable in a small place like this."
Natsume sat in a chair in the dining area, enjoying the familiar feeling.
The Pokémon Center in Woody Town does not implement a policy of separating people and Pokémon; there are quite a few Pokémon there.
"Pikachu."
With his hair parted in the middle, he carried a large bowl of food and placed it on the table by the window. After waking up, he began to eat and drink voraciously.
The sandstorm still lingered, turning the windows of the Pokémon Center a bright yellow, the same color as a middle-part hairstyle, obscuring both inside and outside.
"From what Miss Joey is saying, Mr. Adek wasn't invited back by the townspeople to investigate the source of the sandstorm?"
Natsume suddenly turned around and looked at Adek.
"Hmph, Mr. Aldeck is the champion and a member of the United States League Committee, he certainly doesn't have time."
"Did Mr. Adek come back this time because he heard about what happened here?"
A look of admiration appeared in Joey's eyes.
"Uh"
For once, Adek showed a hint of shame on his face and did not acknowledge the credit.
Natsume watched the other person without showing any emotion.
The Aldek before Natsume's eyes was completely opposite to the original work in every way, giving him the feeling that he was more like the reliable Aldek from the Black and White Game.
"Alright, it's all done. You need to apply these medications every day. Honestly, Mr. Adek, you still have so many old wounds on your face. Why don't you get them treated?"
Joey muttered to herself as she picked up the plate and left.
Apart from the Pokémon that were recuperating, only Natsume and Alder were left in the entire Pokémon Center.
Naturally, the two exchanged a glance.
"Speak, Mr. Alder, what is the reason you summoned me to the Pokémon Center?"
Natsume leaned back in his chair and said casually.
"Didn't you insist on dragging me here?" Adek looked completely bewildered.
"Don't worry about the details, Mr. Champion."
Natsume placed his hands on the table for support and tentatively asked:
"It seems that Mr. Champion has fought that Tyranitar more than once?"
Natsume stared intently at Adek's battered face.
The cut that Joey mentioned, which wasn't treated in time, was clearly caused by that Bangila.
Adek remained silent, and the only sound in the air was Natsume tapping the table intermittently.
"How did you manage to make that Tyranitar suddenly leave?" Adek stared intently at Natsume, his gaze scrutinizing her.
"Oh, because I kidnapped his partner." Natsume held up his phone, which showed rows of Dark-type Pokémon in the shelter.
"."
Adek shifted his position, moving away from Natsume.
After a long while, Adek looked at the red and white ball on Natsume's waist.
Are you a Pokémon Trainer?
Adek gave an irrelevant answer.
"It's not my main job, but I know a little bit about it."
Natsume paused in tapping the table, his gaze falling on Alder and the nine Poké Balls hanging there.
“Is that so?” A hint of disappointment flashed in Adek’s eyes.
"However, I sensed a very powerful Pokémon aura emanating from you."
As he spoke, Adek's gaze quickly swept over the red and white balls on Natsume's body.
He paused and said:
"Let's have a match. If you win, I'll tell you everything you want to know."
By the time the sandstorm completely stopped, it was already afternoon.
Suanmu Town seemed to have undergone a dim, yellowish baptism.
Sunlight struggled to penetrate the remaining dust, casting its rays upon the streets and rooftops covered in fine sand.
Under Miss Officer Jenny's organization, residents came out of their homes, picked up tools, and began to clean up the dust on the streets.
The sounds of complaints, conversations, and the rustling of brooms across the ground mingled together, creating a bustling atmosphere of post-disaster activity.
However, this busy period was soon disrupted by a commotion.
"Look! Over there at the champion's memorial statue!"
"Someone's in the battlefield!"
"That's... my God! It's Mr. Ardek! Mr. Ardek is back!"
Someone shouted it out first, their voice filled with unbelievable excitement.
Instantly, like a drop of water falling into a pot of boiling oil, the entire cleaning site erupted in chaos!
People put down their brooms, dustpans, and buckets, their eyes all turning to the town center square—where a memorial statue commemorating Adek's victory stood, and below the statue was a standard battlefield.
At this moment, two figures stood prominently at opposite ends of the field!
One of them, with his signature fiery red hair and red feather cloak, could not conceal his identity even when covered in dust.
"It really is Mr. Aldeck!"
"The champion is back!!"
"Mr. Adek! Look this way!" Exclamations and cheers swept across the square like a tidal wave.
People no longer cared about cleaning up and rushed towards the battlefield.
The faces of the elderly, children, youths, and adults were filled with excitement and reverence.
The pride of Woodtown, the champion of Unova, has quietly returned to his hometown and is standing on the battlefield that is meant to commemorate him.
The crowd quickly surrounded the area, forming layers upon layers.
Excited chatter filled the air; everyone wanted to catch a glimpse of the champion.
Miss Officer Jenny stood outside the crowd with her hands on her hips, looking at the now empty cleaning site and the frenzied crowd. She sighed helplessly, but a smile involuntarily crept onto her lips.
It seems the cleaning will have to wait until this unexpected surprise is over.
At the very front of the crowded area, a little boy with short blond hair was desperately trying to push his way forward.
He wasn't tall, but he was exceptionally agile, which allowed him to finally secure a spot right next to the fence.
He gripped the railing tightly with both hands, his eyes wide open, staring intently at the burly red figure in the center of the field. His small face was flushed with excitement, his lips trembled slightly, and he could barely speak.
Xiu Di?
Natsume caught a glimpse of the person's striking long golden hair and immediately recognized their identity.
Shuu, from the future Unova region, is Ash's formidable rival.
He is also considered one of the worst-formed rivals, and his defining characteristics are weakness and arrogance.
However, at this moment, Xiu Di was just a small-town boy who had endless admiration and fanatical worship for Alder, the strongest trainer in Unova.
"Go, Mr. Ardek!!!"
Xiu Di leaned on the railing and roared at the top of his lungs.
In his heart, Aldeck was the embodiment of power and the goal he would pursue his whole life. To be able to see his idol so closely, and even to possibly see his idol fight, was something he never dared to dream of.
Center of the field.
Adek clearly hadn't expected it to cause such a sensation.
Faced with the overwhelming enthusiasm of his fellow villagers and countless eager eyes, he scratched the back of his head somewhat awkwardly, but a sense of warmth and belonging shone through his eyes.
He took a deep breath and turned his gaze to Natsume across from him.
Natsume, on the other hand, appeared much calmer, merely raising an eyebrow at the frenzied atmosphere around him.
"So why did you choose this place as the battlefield?" Natsume waved his hand, looking at Adek with a hint of helplessness.
The Pokémon Center also has battle arenas, and it's quite deserted there because everyone is busy dealing with the aftermath of the sandstorm.
“Because this place is symbolic enough.” Adek glanced at his own champion statue with a complicated expression.
What does the symbolic meaning mean?
Natsume looked at the other person strangely, his mind beginning to recall the agreement made before the battle.
Their battle seems to involve only personal aspects, without any other elements, right?
"Looks like there's no turning back, young man." Adek's voice boomed, carrying the pride of a champion, instantly drowning out the noisy crowd.
He didn't give Natsume any chance to react at all:
"Let this match be my greeting as I return to my hometown! Let my fellow villagers see the power of the young!"
With a wave of his hand, he tossed a Poké Ball high into the air, tracing a bright arc.
"Go, my comrade! Buffalo Head!"
"Moo-!!!"
With a deafening, powerful roar, the massive figure crashed to the ground—it was the raging buffalo that had been battling Bangiras earlier.
It still bore the marks of sandstorms and battles, its thick nostrils spewing out scorching white steam, its massive horns gleaming coldly in the sunlight, and its bell-like bull eyes burning with indomitable fighting spirit, firmly locked onto Natsume.
Even after a fierce battle, its mountain-like momentum and the majesty of its champion partner still silenced the entire arena, before erupting into even more enthusiastic cheers.
All eyes instantly focused on Natsume.
As Natsume felt the overwhelming pressure from the burly water buffalo and the anticipation of the surrounding crowd, a faint smile appeared on his lips.
He didn't say anything more, but calmly took a seemingly ordinary red and white ball from his waist.
With a flick of the arm, the Poké Ball also sliced through the air!
"Then, you should stretch your muscles too."
Red light blooms.
"Ouch?"
There was no earth-shattering roar, but an invisible, even more vast and powerful sense of oppression spread out as if it were a tangible thing simply because of the other party's appearance.
The air seemed to freeze for a moment, and even the boisterous cheers subconsciously lowered.
Big! So big!
As the light faded, an enormous, orange-yellow figure, occupying almost half of the space, floated silently in mid-air, its broad black wings outstretched.
Its round head has two tentacles that sway gently, and its amber pupils calmly look down at the fiercely aggressive buffalo below. Beneath its gentle appearance lies an unfathomable and terrifying power.
Dragonite!
"roar--?"
The buffalo felt unprecedented pressure and let out a low, surprised roar, its four hooves instinctively pawing the ground.
Is this a Dragonite?
The onlookers, including Xiu Di in the front row, all stared wide-eyed at the two enormous creatures in the arena, their sizes vastly different yet their auras fiercely opposed.
[Violent Water Buffalo, LV86.]
[Mega Dragonite, LV77.]
The air seemed to completely freeze at this moment.
Everyone's heart was in their throat.
The battle is about to begin.
