Pokémon: Who let him leave Pallet Town?
Chapter 151 Ancient Jigglypuff, Alakazam, Gengar
Chapter 151 Ancient Jigglypuff, Alakazam, Gengar
The writing on the gold spoon was extremely small and dense.
To the naked eye, one might even mistake it for some kind of fish scale pattern that has been carved on.
Under White's expectant gaze, Natsume wrote down these words one by one.
Although the outline of the text could only be vaguely seen with a magnifying glass, under Natsume's psychic powers, the font appeared no different from a normal-sized font.
The more he described it, the more amazed Natsume became.
Every single character on this is extremely small; a tiny spoon has thousands of characters engraved on it!
Most importantly, each character is quite clear and there is no sticking together.
How was this accomplished under such backward conditions in ancient times?
Even someone with superpowers like myself would find it difficult to replicate a similar spoon without the aid of modern equipment.
After writing down nearly three thousand characters, Natsume rubbed his sore wrists.
He was met with an even more expectant gaze from White.
"Mr. Natsume, I have two more items here!"
As he spoke, White brought over two other glass cases, one containing a black sphere and the other a bronze bell.
Without exception, both of these artifacts were covered with dense inscriptions.
Ancient Gengar and ancient Jigglypuff?
Natsume was taken aback, then realized that the system hadn't issued any tasks.
why?
Shouldn't the system start beeping like crazy when it sees Joey, just like Xiao Gang does when he sees Joey?
"Uh, Mr. Natsume, is this too difficult?"
White looked at Natsume somewhat embarrassed.
After all, this was a lot of work; Natsume spent almost five hours just copying this golden spoon.
It's already dark.
"It's okay, you can pay me."
Before Natsume could even ask for an exorbitant amount, a card was already in his hand.
"Mr. Natsume, this is all my possessions, please!" White clasped his hands together and looked at Natsume with great expectation.
Natsume didn't care how much money was in the card; he just looked at White in surprise.
No wonder they chose this major, the kind that would make people want to jump off a building if they were assigned to it.
It's clear you're truly passionate about it.
After glancing at the moon hanging high outside, Natsume turned his gaze back to the three objects.
It's very likely that you've already completed the project before if there's no specific topic.
For example, the giant jellyfish works on the same principle as the giant dragonite, and the system does not trigger any challenges.
Could it be that the second Mutantana fell into the Kanto region during the very, very distant ancient period?
Natsume reasonably guessed that when the other party fell, it may have irradiated a group of Pokémon, causing them to grow to enormous sizes.
Finally, it was sealed away by the wisdom of the ancients.
Although Natsume was not interested in studying these characters, he was very interested in "the wisdom of the ancients".
How do these Poké Ball-like devices work?
The most crucial question is, how exactly were these inscriptions carved on?
Natsume quietly traced the ancient characters, while Jiaozi and White started chatting.
"Miss White, do ancient civilizations really exist?"
The proud child held a book in his hands, which contained speculations about an ancient civilization.
"Oh, this is my teacher's book."
White smiled and took the book from Jiao Zi's hands.
After turning two pages, she said with some distress:
"Well, how should I put it?"
"This is just a reasonable guess. Whether ancient civilizations actually existed is something none of us know, but—"
White then changed the subject:
"Ancient Pokémon definitely exist."
White's tone was extremely confident.
“One of my teachers once witnessed a super ancient Pokémon being released from a ruin.”
"That was a clay doll, but it was bigger than a clay giant!"
"Moreover, legend has it that the appearance of ancient Pokémon will bring disaster, but giants radiating light will take them away."
White said mysteriously.
"A giant of light?" Natsume looked up in surprise.
"It wasn't light, it was golden lightning, it looked like an arc of electricity dancing in a light bulb, that's how my teacher described it," White corrected.
"Oh, let me guess, does it look like an alpaca?" Natsume said casually.
“No.” White shook his head seriously.
"It was a Pokémon that looked like a human, but it only had one leg. It was very big, extremely big, and a huge hand would emerge from its chest and grab the giant clay doll."
White said seriously.
"Who is this teacher you're talking about?" Natsume suddenly asked.
“He passed away the year before last.” White’s voice lowered. “Where is your teacher’s grave?” Natsume persisted.
"Why are you asking this?" White asked, puzzled.
“Dig it up for him, put it in the Ghost Tower, maybe it’ll work—hmm!”
Before Natsume could finish speaking, Jiaozi covered his mouth with a smile.
"Haha, what Mr. Natsume means is that the Ghost Tower has good feng shui, and the deceased rest in peace."
She smiled apologetically at White, then placed both hands on Natsume's forehead, firmly securing it to her chest.
"Alright, alright, Mr. Natsume, let me massage your shoulders. You can focus on your copying."
Jiaozi swiftly averted a diplomatic incident.
Time passed second by second, and Natsume meticulously enlarged the text on the black ball and bronze bell onto the paper.
To save time, Natsume even used telekinesis to manipulate two pens simultaneously, tracing the characters on both objects at the same time.
If it weren't for the mental effort required to ensure the text combinations were flawless, it could have been completed much earlier with a thousand strokes at once.
As night deepened, the occasional barking of Little Lada could be heard outside.
White was fast asleep, slumped over the table beside him.
"All right."
Natsume's head suddenly moved, and the blushing Jiaozi came back to her senses.
"Mr. Natsume, have you finished drawing everything?"
“No, there are more inscriptions on the bronze bells.” Natsume said, then suddenly paused.
Then, belatedly, he touched his head.
"Strange, why does the back of my head hurt a little?"
Natsume felt as if he had slept on a rock, which was uncomfortable.
Jiaozi pouted, looking somewhat angry.
White was asleep, and Natsume didn't wake him. He simply placed the glass dome that sealed the ancient Gengar and the spoon on another table.
Returning to his original position, Natsume continued to trace the bronze bell.
Natsume doesn't know the conditions for releasing the ancient Pokémon.
But perhaps White will be able to glean some clues from deciphering the meaning of these inscriptions tomorrow.
The next day.
Tent, in front of computer.
"So, have you found a way to release the ancient Pokémon?"
Natsume's voice rang out behind White.
White turned his head in surprise.
She was very curious as to how Natsume knew that these three artifacts contained ancient Pokémon.
She had just deciphered the inscription on it and only then did she realize that three ancient Pokémon were sealed inside!
"They are indeed three ancient Pokémon, but—"
White hesitated for a moment, then stood up from his seat and displayed the computer screen to Natsume and Takako.
The computer screen is split, with one side showing a magnified image of text that Natsume copied—ancient characters from a bronze bell.
On the other side was a document, which White translated.
Natsume looked on curiously; in a sense, these were words left to future generations by their ancestors.
First sentence:
"We went through so much trouble to seal these terrifying Pokémon, you don't want to release them, do you?"
"Hmm," Natsume remained silent.
He felt that the ancestor who left this message had some of his style.
"Are there any clues about releasing the ancient Pokémon?"
Undeterred, Natsume continued to ask.
White didn't say anything, he just picked up the mouse and scrolled the wheel.
Sentence 148:
"You didn't read it all, did you? If we recorded the ways we release these terrifying Pokémon in this, why would we seal it away in the first place?"
Natsume: "."
"Well, the only useful information I have so far is that these three artifacts seal away the ancient Jigglypuff, Gengar, and Alakazam."
White waved his hand and continued:
"In short, this is the inscription on the bronze bell. Perhaps the other two instruments will have different information recorded on them."
"Give me half a day, and I'll know by tonight."
