Chapter 535 Three Moves
Alexander did not lie down on the ground, but instead sprang to his feet... He attributed this to his strong physique and core strength.

What surprised even this powerful figure was the thin young man before him. If his teacher hadn't confirmed it, he certainly wouldn't have thought this guy was an adult. To put it more bluntly, Mu Xiang and Zhao Yingkong were definitely underage children in his eyes, and that Luo Gandao was still immature... As for Zheng Zha, wasn't he a typical pretty boy?
It doesn't fit the aesthetic standards of the Allied nations at all!
The child, whom he considered to be of little skill, actually gave him a brilliant counterattack... Even Alexander, as arrogant as he was, could now sense the problem.

Moreover, Alexander's pride stemmed from his achievements as a mechanical dragon... but in battle, he never let his pride become a burden!

Alexander did not fly into a rage; on the contrary, his eyes were incredibly calm as he rose. Somewhat counterintuitively, the common description of Alexander's "unusually serious gaze" in close-up portraits is actually inaccurate.

Alexander scrutinizes every new opponent with this look after they demonstrate noteworthy qualities, whether it's during Allied combat training, off-field brawls with the United States' Mech Dragon, or in serious mech duels.

This kind of scrutiny ultimately allows him to discern his opponent's strengths and weaknesses, adding new luster to his victories. Such a gaze is also enough to intimidate any opponent who still has fighting spirit, preventing them from making any rash moves.

Those who lack awareness are often intimidated by the gaze of Alexander, who may be the strongest man of his time, and lose the courage to press forward; those who are aware enough will perceive Alexander's intentions and then conceal their own weaknesses.

Mu Xiang met Alexander's gaze with unwavering eyes... His gaze startled Alexander. This man likely wore glasses regularly, but when he removed them, his eyes lacked the blurriness or cloudiness often seen in those with eye diseases. On the contrary, his eyes were clear and lucid. But this was merely an appearance; beneath that brightness lay something far more terrifying.

Alexander was actually a very traditional Slav. Strictly speaking, the United States' stereotypes about the Central Powers were mostly true of him... So, being rather rough in speech and thought, he couldn't think of a better description for a moment. He just felt like he had returned to that morning when Alexei took him to see the Arctic Ocean.

The Arctic Ocean before nuclear war was said to be quite different from what it is today… The Arctic Ocean in people's minds is now an almost demonic, cold, and silent place. If you are lucky enough to pass through the blockade zone, you might have a chance to see the wreckage of military equipment faintly visible beneath the ice, but of course, you'll have to bear the cost of radiation yourself.

The young man's eyes were like the cold, silent icy sea; beneath the bright light of ice and water lay a terrifying shadow, like a colossal beast from the abyss. Within that shadow, Alexander saw his own reflection.

The two Alexanders reflected in his eyes were equally small, brutally distorted in the interplay of light and shadow, which stirred a strange emotion within Alexander.

An emotion he hadn't felt for many years... called fear.

Other people's glasses protect their eyes behind two transparent lenses, allowing them to see a brighter world; but this young man's glasses seem to protect the world outside a transparent barrier, preventing everything from being directly exposed to his gaze.

Mu Xiang took a step forward, and the tremor from the ground startled Alexander awake... From an outsider's perspective, it seemed that Alexander had suffered an initial setback, then resumed the confrontation, and was about to start the next round; but Alexander knew perfectly well that in that instant, his fighting spirit had left him, left the fighting arena, and been replaced by a rising cowardice and vulnerability.

If the opponent intended to, he would have already been knocked down again, or even gone out of bounds.

Alexander took a deep breath, as if drawing his fighting spirit back into his body. With a loud bang, he pushed off the ground with one foot, his body shooting forward like an arrow released from a bow. This powerful physique, which countless young mechanical dragons worshipped, launched its charge. The explosive sound of his push off the ground, the whooshing sound of his movement, was Alexander's charge... and his right fist was the unyielding vanguard of the battlefield!
Mu Xiang's expression remained unchanged. He twisted his right fist to the left without exerting any force, yet it landed precisely on Alexander's right wrist. The touch was perfectly timed, just before Alexander's powerful punch, as if Alexander's right wrist was meant to be there.

Alexander's heart skipped a beat. Before he could react, Mu Xiang turned around, his back to him, and with his forward lunge, it was as if Mu Xiang had crashed into him from behind. His right fist didn't even have a chance to retract before Mu Xiang's fists locked his wrist.

The next moment, a vicious over-the-shoulder throw was delivered.

Alexander was slammed hard to the ground, and this time the impact was so strong that he saw stars.

Mu Xiang also touched the ground with one foot, but silently retreated, giving Alexander space to lie down. Alexander didn't feel any vibration from this touch; perhaps he was still dazed, or perhaps Mu Xiang simply didn't move. This made Alexander realize that his previous step wasn't a sign of Mu Xiang's intention to attack… but rather Mu Xiang's way of reminding him to come to his senses.

Alexander suddenly laughed, shook his head, and then rolled over to support himself. His eyes held no trace of emotion, only utmost solemnity.

He struck a pose and said in broken Chinese, "Please."

Mu Xiang looked at him silently for a while, then nodded: "Okay."

Nobody knows what this "okay" means. Does it mean agreeing to the "please" or praising him for getting up quickly or speaking good Chinese?

Alexander didn't know either.

He only knew that his vision blurred, and then a gentle force struck his abdomen, causing his body to be uncontrollably thrown backward. Under the varied gazes of the crowd, Alexander seemed to be struggling to resist, but was still pushed beyond the boundary by this force.

But Alexander himself knew that if Mu Xiang used an uppercut or something similar, he could send him flying; even other punches would leave him no chance to fight back before he was thrown out in a sorry state.

Mu Xiang asked calmly, "Shall we continue?"

Alexander shook his head: "There's no point in continuing... Thank you." With that, Alexander actually threw off his boxing gloves, took off his protective gear, and walked towards Alexei's direction.
