Chapter 263 Features
"What is she doing?"

Seeing the meaning in Sean Lee and Victoria's eyes, Charlotte quickly asked in a low voice.

"that is……"

Victoria hesitated for a moment before explaining, "Perhaps it's because she's longed for our country for a long time, or maybe Big Ben evokes some memories for her..."

"If a foreign tourist likes it this much, shouldn't you, as princesses born in London, England, be even more proud?"

As Charlotte nodded earnestly, Sean Lee smiled and gestured with his chin toward Victoria.

"No matter how long the Big Ben has a history, we have long been accustomed to it."

Sensing the young man's teasing tone, Victoria rolled her eyes. "If it were you, would you cry when you saw the Great Wall?"

"That won't happen."

Li Xiaoen shrugged, stopped worrying about it, and gestured towards the restaurant towards the two girls, saying, "Ladies first."

Why do I always feel like these two are saying something cryptic to my face?

Charlotte glanced at the two of them, took out her phone and started searching, then followed behind Victoria.

Just then, a figure wearing black trousers and a green hoodie suddenly darted out from behind the three of them, reached out and snatched her phone, then ran across the street into the crowd of pedestrians.

"..."

After only a moment's hesitation, Li Xiaoen immediately activated [Eye of Insight] and locked onto the man's running location.

"Wait for me where you are..."

With only one sentence to say, Li Xiaoen quickly took off and chased after him.

Even on a weekday, the streets of London, the world's second-largest financial center, are still bustling with people. The target of the "Eye of Insight" is a man who wanders through the crowd, occasionally bumping into the shoulder of a man in a suit, which draws a few curses, but he still slips through the bustling crowd like a fish in water and runs away into the distance.

Through the Eye of Insight, Li Xiaoen had the road conditions ahead of him in mind, and each time he just barely avoided possible collisions with pedestrians, thus increasing his speed again.

Just as the other person reached the subway entrance, their hurried figure attracted the attention of everyone along the way. Worried that the man would get on the subway and completely distance himself from them, Li Xiaoen looked around the escalator and picked up a skateboard from a child's hand.

"Excuse me, could you lend me this..."

After saying that, he had already run several meters away, thrown the skateboard forward, jumped up and stepped on it, and then leaped into the air in front of the elevator, landing on the elevator handrail with the skateboard.

The descent suddenly accelerated, and Li Xiaoen's heart skipped a beat. He grabbed the figure of the man descending the elevator, leaped up, and pounced on him.

"what……"

A painful groan was heard, and a figure fell heavily to the ground.

Li Xiaoen, who was flying down from above, had a man acting as a human cushion, which greatly slowed down his speed. He ran forward a few steps and successfully stopped.

"No, according to English law, if you accidentally injure a thief while chasing them, you'd be held liable, right?"

Turning back to look at the man who was lying on the ground, still groaning in pain and completely unable to escape, Li Xiaoen raised an eyebrow.

Just as he was about to take out his phone to call the police, he noticed that Victoria was making an incoming call, so he answered it and put it to his ear.

"Thank you for the skateboard."

Just then, the child who had snatched the skateboard earlier walked by, and Li Xiaoen picked it up from the ground and handed it back to the child with a smile.

"Sean, are you okay?"

I heard Victoria's anxious and worried calls in my ears.

"It's nothing, it's just that the thief is in trouble."

Li Xiaoen spoke meaningfully, seemingly unconcerned about the passersby who had gathered around to watch, and simply recounted the events with one hand on his hip.

Before long, Victoria and her two girlfriends rushed over. To Li Xiaoen's surprise, they were followed closely by two tall and strong police officers.

"Sean, are you okay?"

As she approached, Victoria looked her up and down, then asked a concerned question.

"I'm fine, it's just a matter of how you deal with thieves here."

Li Xiaoen shrugged, indicating that he needed to regain his strength, and handed the hoodie-clad man he had cornered over to the two policemen who had surrounded him.

"Here, this is your phone."

Looking back at Charlotte, Sean Lee handed her the phone he had snatched back from his pocket.

"Thank you."

Charlotte nodded, took the phone with both hands, and looked into each other's eyes, but then, unusually, looked away and to the other side.

It can't be that she's shy, can it?
Li Xiaoen felt a strange sensation and turned her gaze back to Victoria.

"You haven't pursued accountability for excessive defensive actions here, have you?"

"Judging from his appearance, you are far from committing a crime."

Victoria smiled reassuringly, "Besides, we mentioned to the police on the way here that this person is a repeat offender, so there's nothing to worry about."

"Ah That's good."

Li Xiaoen nodded, exchanged a few more words with the police, and was about to walk back to the restaurant with Victoria when a large group of people suddenly surged into the subway.

"What's going on here?"

He took Victoria's hand and shielded her in a corner against the wall. Seeing Charlotte still looking dazed and clumsy, Li Xiaoen reached out and pulled her back, thus avoiding the crowd rushing out.

"It's probably because... subway services have been suspended."

Victoria pursed her red lips, tilted her head, and offered an explanation that was cryptic.

"That's normal, after all, it's the world's first subway."

Li Xiaoen smiled and offered words of comfort.

He had learned before his trip that the London Underground still retains old-fashioned carriages and trains, which look quite old, and it's understandable that strikes occasionally occur.

At the very least, it's much better than New York's.

"No, our subway system only has problems once in a long while, but you've encountered one on your first visit."

Looking up, Victoria quickly explained, pursing her lips, unsure of what to say, and slumped her shoulders in frustration, "I'm so sorry that this is the first time you've been here and you've seen this side of London."

"It's alright, London is quite beautiful."

Whether it's street thieves or subway strikes, these things don't affect Li Xiaoen's fondness for London. Amused, she patted Victoria's arm, "I really like the architecture here, and someone..."

Looking up, Victoria's eyes widened.

The girl's fair face had delicate, flawless skin, and her eyebrows and eyes were like a painting. Her large, clear, emerald-green eyes reflected his face, and her long, slightly tousled hair fell in front of her, making her look intellectual and elegant.

Li Xiaoen unconsciously held his breath, coughed lightly, and silently lowered his head... "If I had known, I would have just let that thief steal the phone and sell it. It would have been better for me to buy a cup of coffee and sit and watch someone worry about it."

As she strolled leisurely toward the restaurant, Sean Lee couldn't help but glance sideways at Charlotte, who stood beside Victoria, her neck craned back like a victorious fighting rooster.

"Alright, Sean."

Amused, and unable to suppress a smile, Victoria tugged at the young man's arm. "Charlotte, she's doing this for my own good. It's her duty."

"It's for your own good, but it's not good for me."

Li Xiaoen rolled his eyes. He was about to kiss Victoria when she suddenly pulled him away. Now he couldn't stand her at all. "I even helped her get her phone back, is this how you treat your benefactor?"

“My phone has location tracking enabled. I can contact the police and get it back immediately. I don’t need your help to get it back.”

Charlotte gave a soft snort in rebuttal, then turned to look ahead, finally managing to suppress a slight smile playing on her lips.

She had repeatedly suffered setbacks at the hands of the young man, and it was only at this point that she finally managed to regain some ground.

Fish and chips, roast lamb chops, roast potatoes, Cornish meat pies—a simple lunch. The two girls kept talking, doing their best to explain how to eat each dish, its taste, and even its origin and history.

Even the usually quiet Victoria was no exception, chattering away, making Li Xiaoen's head spin. She couldn't help but recall her experience of taking Moral Education and Morality classes in elementary school.

After a satisfying meal, Li Xiaoen paid the bill. On his way back, he saw two tall and beautiful girls standing together, smiling and whispering to each other. He couldn't help but smile at this heartwarming scene of youth.

"What are you whispering about?"

As he approached, Li Xiaoen chuckled, "If you're just excited because I'm so handsome, you can tell me directly, and I'll consider giving you an autograph."

"narcissism!"

The two girls rolled their eyes in unison, then retorted with smirks.

"Alright, as princesses and ladies who have lived in London for over ten years, what are some amazing yet little-known tourist attractions you could take me to?"

Li Xiaoen shrugged, glancing around at his surroundings. "Let me tell you, I've been to crowded places like the British Museum and libraries, and I don't want to go back."

"Besides these, we don't know anything else."

Victoria and Charlotte exchanged a glance and shook their heads helplessly. When the young man looked on in surprise, they covered their mouths with their hands and chuckled.

"If we're talking about tourist attractions that few people know about, I do know of one."

Charlotte lowered her hand, and after exchanging a glance with Sean Lee, she immediately turned her attention to Victoria.

"Where?"

Victoria also turned to look.

“It’s your estate, Victoria.”

Charlotte replied with a smile, "Didn't Seraphina and the others also really like the scenery at your manor after they came last week?"

"My...my home?"

Victoria suddenly stammered, her slightly flustered emerald green eyes glancing at Li Xiaoen before quickly looking away again. "My home, is it inconvenient?"

"go!"

Before Victoria could say anything more, Sean Lee raised his chin, reached out and took the girl's hand, "Charlotte, lead the way, we're going back to Victoria's family estate."

"Hey……"

The momentum was suddenly interrupted by a loud shout. Charlotte quickly stepped forward, reached out and pried their clasped hands apart, and warily shielded Victoria behind her.

“When I said I was going to visit Victoria’s estate, I was referring to you as a friend of Victoria, just like Serafina. If you continue to be so rude and handsy, I’ll call the estate’s bodyguards.”

"..."

"Alright alright."

Li Xiaoen shrugged. He had thought Charlotte had come to her sense of gratitude after hearing her words, but it turned out he had been delusional. "Lead the way, or call your driver over."

Only after hearing Charlotte's explanation did Victoria regain her composure and take out her phone to make a call.

Just half a minute later, a luxury limousine came to a smooth stop on the road in front of the three of them.

"Were they following us around the neighborhood the whole time?"

Li Xiaoen raised his eyebrows.

Do you think I'm lying to you?

Charlotte scoffed dismissively, "I have a GPS tracker on my phone. If the thief really did steal it, I can easily get it back by calling the bodyguards and driver who were with me."

As she spoke, she had already stepped to the front of the car, but first opened the door to make room for Victoria to sit down.

Nodding, Victoria sat down. Just as Sean Lee was about to follow, Charlotte reached out to stop her and sat down next to Victoria herself.

Why does it feel like this girl is deliberately going against me?

Seeing the triumphant smile on the other person's face, Li Xiaoen couldn't help but ponder, so he got into the car and sat down opposite the two of them.

Perhaps the English aristocracy's use of "bring home" is different from the Chinese usage.

This was Li Xiaoen's first impression after entering a spacious, bronze-colored gate and standing on a shady grassy area, taking in a large expanse of flat grass and trees, as well as several ancient buildings in the distance.

Is this an estate, or a resort villa area that includes a golf course?
Li Xiaoen was deeply shocked. Compared to Seraphina's manor villa in the suburbs of New York, this place was probably dozens of times larger.

"Don't even think about entering the castle in Victoria's room. You have a criminal record, so you can only stay temporarily in the rooms where other guests are staying."

A uniformed man brought over a four-wheeled covered vehicle resembling the one used at the golf course. Charlotte took the driver's seat first and glared at him.

"Can I still stay here?"

Li Xiaoen raised an eyebrow, his mischievous yet expectant gaze falling on Victoria. While the two girls were still stunned, he immediately nodded in agreement, "Alright, since you're so sincere in inviting me, wouldn't it be a waste of your kindness if I refused?"

After saying that, he took Charlotte's hand from the steering wheel of the car and shook it off insincerely.

"Thank you, thank you for your support."

"No, I didn't invite you!"

Coming to her senses, Charlotte quickly waved her hands away and tried to explain, but seeing the young man's confident and shameless demeanor, she anxiously looked at Victoria.

"It's also okay."

Victoria pursed her lips and sighed helplessly, "Mother shouldn't mind if we just stay in another room."

Upon hearing this, Charlotte's face suddenly froze.

“Victoria, you mean…”

She was flustered and somewhat incoherent, "She...she agreed to what you and Sean did?"
