Chapter 315 A Big Shot, a Ruler, Silver Light

Chapter 315 A Big Shot, a Ruler, Silver Light (Seeking Monthly Tickets)
"What are you doing? Why aren't you welcoming Shark yet?"

Inside the Osaka bookstore, a domineering and arrogant voice rang out, as if amplified, echoing loudly in everyone's ears.

The little shark raised its fin, which it had been holding to its chest, and pointed at the three people in the bookstore one by one, "Do they not have ears, or mouths? Or perhaps..."

At this point, it suddenly raised an eyebrow and gave Gu Zhuo'an a meaningful look, "No brains?"

Even Su Wei couldn't help but be surprised by the scene before her.

He picked up the thermos, took a sip of tea in a daze, his eyes still fixed on the little shark on the boy's shoulder, his gaze never leaving it.

Gu Zhuo'an paused for a moment, his eyebrows almost furrowing together.

It seemed he had never seen a talking shark before. If Black Chrysalis hadn't said this shark was related to Dr. Zelsey, he would have already tested its strength.

While looking at the comic, Black Chrysalis clapped her hands with her two restraint straps, making a clapping sound.

He said, "Welcome, welcome. Without Shark, our family would have fallen apart long ago."

"You little moth, you're much more sensible," the little shark said sullenly.

Su Wei was silent for a moment, then asked, "What is this shark?"

“The Shark of the Eternal Abyss, Mr. Su Wei, have you heard of this name?” Black Chrysalis said.

"The Shark of Eternal Abyss?" Su Wei murmured, raising his eyebrows and looking up.

He carefully examined the harmless shark through his glasses, then asked:
"In my memory, shouldn't this species have gone extinct long ago? Or is my information outdated?"

“Yes, your intelligence is outdated,” Black Chrysalis said calmly. “After all, a live Eternal Abyss Shark is right in front of you.”

He thought to himself, "This is the ability of a restricted-level superhuman, Grandpa. You can even create an extinct race for me. Isn't that fun?"
"How are you going to convince us that it's the kind of shark you're talking about?" Gu Zhuo'an asked in a low voice, arms crossed.

The little shark raised its fin, pointed at him, and angrily shouted, "You terrifying clock tower man, listen up! Shark is a purebred aristocrat among sharks! How dare you question Shark's noble status! Do you want to be knocked out of your mind by Shark?"

Gu Zhuo frowned, a golden clock flashing in his right eye. "You can give it a try."

"What did you say?" Agubaru was furious, completely furious! It seemed that he was about to unleash his 300-meter-long body and fight against the crowd with the power of a shark.

Caesar scratched the back of his head and chuckled dryly twice.

“Don’t be angry, Agubaru.” He said, leaning close to the little shark’s ear, “That’s just how Mr. Ghost Bell is, he’s pretty straightforward.”

He lowered his voice: "Otherwise, he wouldn't have gone to challenge Hongyi to a duel in the middle of the night, only to get beaten so badly he couldn't tell which way was which. Mr. Heiyong said that we should respect and understand this special group of people!"

"Alright, I'll respect and understand," the little shark replied softly. "After all, they are a special group of people."

It snorted coldly, crossed its arms with its fins, and said, "Hmph, sharks are the nobles among sharks, I won't bother with you bunch of idiots."

Gu Zhuo frowned and looked up at the black cocoon. "You didn't mention to me before that one of our collaborators would be a non-human creature."

Hei Yong said casually, "Sometimes plans can't keep up with changes."

"Don't rush, Zhuo An," Su Wei said calmly. "There's a testing room in the basement of this bookstore, which was built to facilitate exorcists' combat training. We can see the strength of this shark then, and I'll determine whether it's really the Eternal Abyss Shark that the child said it is."

Gu Zhuo nodded silently.

"He's so obedient, a good son-in-law," Black Chrysanthemum praised. "If he had been this obedient in the early years, there wouldn't have been any conflicts between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law. Oh no, I mean conflicts between father-in-law and son-in-law."

“Shut up...you little moth,” Gu Zhuoan said.

"Where did you learn this nickname from? It's not your daughter, is it?" Black Chrysanthemum scratched his chin.

No comment was given regarding the Gu Zhuo case.

"By the way, I met your daughter this morning, and she confessed her feelings to me," Black Chrysalis said suddenly, her voice serious.

Su Wei and Gu Zhuo were both taken aback. They both raised their heads with serious expressions and looked at the black cocoon.

For a moment, the three people in the bookstore looked as serious as if they were constipated, and the atmosphere suddenly became heavy, which made the two outsiders, Agubaru and Caesar, slightly surprised.

Seeing the three of them looking as if they were facing a formidable enemy, the little shark and the white-haired boy simultaneously turned their heads and looked around, their heads darting back and forth, as if they thought some difficult enemy had come to the bookstore.

“She said I was like her brother,” Black Chrysalis said sadly. “Isn’t that a kind of confession? After all, she loved her two brothers the most.”

Veins bulged on Gu Zhuo's forehead as he realized he had been tricked.

Su Wei chuckled, shook her head helplessly, and continued drinking her tea.

"Stay away from my daughter." Gu Zhuoan was too lazy to argue with Hei Yong, so he just said that.

“If it weren’t for me, your daughter would have been a corpse long ago.” Black Chrysalis shrugged.

Seeing that the hatred surrounding the Gu Zhuo case had shifted to Hei Yong, Little Shark tried to turn the tables.

“You idiot clock tower guy, once we get to the basement, I’ll show you the power of the shark headbutt,” it muttered.

"Speaking of which, we now know the origin of this shark, but what about this child?" Su Wei said, glancing at Caesar, and asked Black Chrysalis, "What's his background?" "Caesar, the third prince of the Box Kingdom." Black Chrysalis shrugged. "Uh... he played a part in the destruction of the Box Kingdom; as for why, don't ask, and even if you do, I can only tell you..." As he spoke, he shook his finger seriously, "The struggle for the crown prince has always been like this—mind your own business."

Is there internal strife within the royal court?

Su Wei seemed to have guessed something and smiled softly, “It fits my impression of that country: corrupt, stupid, and feudal. I still remember the arrogant faces of those people when I entered the Whale Garden.”

Caesar lowered his eyes and said with a composed expression, "My father is indeed quite arrogant, and the Light-Eating Bees were a mess he created. If my father hadn't driven the Light-Eating Bees out of the world thirty years ago, none of this would have happened."

He paused for a moment, then said, "So, I will be responsible for wiping out the Light-Eating Bee clan. Helping you capture the Salvation Society members is just a side effect."

Su Wei looked up at Caesar's expression, then lowered her head and took a sip of water.

He said, "That's what they say, but on the bright side, if the old king hadn't done that back then, we wouldn't have an opportunity to fight Rainbow Wings on a nearly enclosed island now."

Caesar remained silent and did not reply.

"Are you really planning to let a child participate in the battle?" Gu Zhuo asked.

"Come on, this kid saved your life a few times before." Black Chrysalis shrugged. "Never underestimate a twelve-year-old elementary school student... As far as I know, corrupted elementary school students are the most powerful and dangerous species in the world!"

He paused for a moment: "I bet if you give Caesar a month, he won't be any weaker than any of you."

“I understand.” Su Wei smiled. “Zhuo An, little Black Chrysalis, and Caesar, right? You guys stay on the first floor for now. I’ll go to the basement to clean up.”

"Father-in-law, do you need me to come along?" Gu Zhuo asked.

Before he arrived at the bookstore, Su Wei had told him that the Exorcist Association had informed them that the bookstore's basement seemed to have become a nest of Light-Eating Bees. Therefore, the association transferred the bookstore to him in exchange for his help in cleaning up the bees in the basement.

"It's alright, just a small matter." Su Wei waved her hand, lit a candle, and carried it to a corner of the bookstore.

Pushing open the door, you'll see a staircase leading underground.

He walked down the steps, the candlelight flickering, the buzzing of bee wings growing louder and louder.

After a while, Su Wei arrived at the huge basement. In the pitch-black darkness, she looked up and stared ahead.

At that moment, large swarms of half-human, half-bee creatures were squatting in the corner of the basement, munching away.

They were either grabbing human arms or human heads; everything was so brutal, and the walls on all sides were stained red with splattered blood.

Following the only candlelight in the darkness, the light-devouring bees turned to look at Su Wei. Their eyes gleamed with a violent and greedy light in the darkness, their mouths stained with a ferocious blood, and their stingers, split into four, opened and closed in mid-air, with a human torso still stuffed into the rift in the center of the stinger.

Su Wei smiled, took off her glasses, and briefly extinguished the candle. The basement was once again shrouded in darkness, from which came a deafening buzzing sound.

The next instant, a point of silver light suddenly shone—it was a silver-white teaching ruler. The silver light, like a shuttle or the flash of a sword, swiftly swept across the basement.

In just a moment, the roars and buzzing that had enveloped all directions vanished, leaving only a long, deathly silence.

Meanwhile, in the underground parking lot of the Oddball Association building in Osaka, Japan.

A Maybach was parked in the corner of the parking lot. In the driver's seat sat a white-haired girl in a suit, and in the back seat sat a young man in black casual clothes.

"Are you feeling better?" Yuriel glanced at the rearview mirror and asked in a low voice.

“I’m fine now.” Gu Qiye shook her head. “Its poison is like an anesthetic.”

"That's good."

As Yuriel spoke, she took her hands off the steering wheel and picked up the tablet computer from the passenger seat.

Open the Rainbow Wing's dedicated conferencing software, and a video call interface will pop up on the screen.

In the conference room, Commander Chen Qian was sitting in a swivel chair, looking at the documents as she said, "Now that the uninhabited island has been explored and the location of the hive has been confirmed, here is the next task list: first, wipe out all the Light-Eating Bee hives in Osaka, Japan."

As soon as he finished speaking, a map of Osaka, Japan, suddenly popped up on the screen.

The map is covered with a dense array of red dots, each a hiding place for the Light-Eating Bees. Some are abandoned factories, some are old apartments, some are even host clubs, and some are famous companies in Osaka.

“Oh right, we don’t need to go to the Osaka bookstore,” Chen Qian suddenly said.

"Why don't we go?" Yuriel asked, looking at the bookstore's location on the map, puzzled.

"The Exorcists Association said that just now, they handed over that bookstore to a big shot," Chen Qian said calmly. "As for who it is, they are not at liberty to tell us. They just said that person will take care of it, so let's skip that."

"A big shot... Could it be Lake Hunter?" Gu Qiye thought for a moment, then asked.

"Stop guessing, it's pointless," Chen Qian said. "You guys go do other things."

Yuriel only glanced down at the map, but had already memorized the locations of all the red dots.

"Let's go." After saying that, she put the tablet computer down in the passenger seat, then started the Maybach with the remote key, stepped on the gas, and the Maybach roared away, driving out of the underground parking lot.
