Chapter 302 Headquarters, the Starting Point of the Revenge Journey

Chapter 302 Headquarters, the Starting Point of the Revenge Journey (Seeking Monthly Tickets)
After listening to the commander's mission briefing, Gu Qiye turned her head and looked at Yuriel sitting next to her.

"We just came back from Japan, and now we're going back to Japan again," he said with a sigh.

“There’s nothing we can do about it; it’s a high-risk area for accidents,” Yuriel said calmly. “If I remember correctly, you were at an auction in Tokyo not long ago…”

"Can you please stop reopening my wounds?" Gu Qiye sighed softly.

“Okay.” Yuriel shut up.

"Well then, this meeting is now adjourned," Chen Qian said through the projector while organizing documents. "Your flights have been arranged. To save time, you will all travel to Osaka, Japan on the same plane."

"Is it necessary? They've all squeezed onto the same plane. How much of a rush are they?" Fan Dongqing shrugged.

"Alright, stop complaining and hurry up," Chen Qian said calmly. "My people are already on the plane, and I will be in charge of the entire mission. Fan Dongqing, I hope you won't break the rules and act on your own like you did a year ago."

"I understand..." Fan Dongqing drawled out, then yawned, put his phone in his pocket, and stood up from the table.

The chair scraped against the floor with a hissing sound. He moved toward the elevator, and the directional buttons on the elevator panel lit up automatically, flashing a yellow light in the darkness.

Behind Fan Dongqing, Ke Qing, with short black hair, put his right hand in his pocket, adjusted his glasses, and followed him into the sedan chair.

The two seemed to be old acquaintances. They often spent time together, whether in or out of meetings, after all, they were both from China.

"I have a question. Where did those bees come from?" Ruri Urushihara asked Chen Qian casually, resting her chin on her right hand as she watched Fan Dongqing and Ke Qingzheng leave.

"A miniature garden within a whale." Chen Qian's projection was looking down, organizing a document.

"The Little Garden, so it's related to the White Raven Brigade again?" Ruri Urushihara murmured.

“No, long before the White Raven Brigade invaded the Little Garden, the Light-Eating Bees had already been banished to the outside world by the Little Garden's Oddities Envoy,” Chen Qian shook her head and explained.

“I see, I was wondering. If the Light-Eating Bees were brought out of the Little Garden, the White Raven Brigade would be even more guilty,” said Ruri Urushihara. “But I saw with my own eyes that the brigade’s current strength is no weaker than the Light-Eating Bees’, yet it was shelved. The higher-ups really know how to arrange things.”

“You know there’s a special reason why this mission is so urgent,” Chen Qian said in a low voice.

Everyone present knew perfectly well that not only was the danger posed by the Light-Eating Bees themselves not to be underestimated, but the problem was that a high-ranking figure in Japan not only died at the hands of the Light-Eating Bees, but was also cruelly devoured.

The Japanese authorities were furious and desperately needed a response, which is why this mission came so urgently. However, this point couldn't be stated openly in the meeting, so the commander only emphasized how dangerous the Light-Eating Bees were.

“No problem.” Ruri Urushihara smiled.

“Little sister Liuli, you seem to care quite a bit about that ‘White Raven Brigade’? You used to talk a lot when that bandit organization was mentioned in meetings.” Alexandra crossed her arms and turned to look at her.

The princess's silver earrings swayed slightly, reflecting light in the darkness. A playful glint appeared in her amber eyes.

“Is that so?” Ruri Urushihara said. “It’s just that those thieves are elusive. I have a feeling that once they leave Japan, we might never have another chance to find them. After all, they just made a fortune in Hakoniwa, so it’s not impossible that they might just give up now.”

"Didn't the White Raven Brigade just break into prison and take one of its members with them?" Yuriel said expressionlessly. "If they weren't considering their next operation, I don't think there's any reason for them to take such a huge risk."

Ruri Urushihara thought for a moment: "What if they just want to get their old friend out of prison?"

"Do you think a bandit group would value its members?" Yuriel asked. "Based on the White Raven Brigade's operating model, it can be inferred that its members are merely replaceable to them."

"makes sense……"

As Ruri Urushi spoke, she looked at Yuriel with great interest, "I shouldn't have made things difficult for our emotionless 'hero' in the elevator. From now on, emotionless girls will all be going against me. I can't stand being argued with like this every day."

"Why does this concern me?" Gu Qiye raised his head and looked at her expressionlessly. "That's just her personality. She's simply pointing out the problem with your logic."

"So, you admit that you are her 'great hero'?" Ruri Urushihara immediately cast a glance at him.

Gu Qiye was taken aback, and You Ruier was also slightly surprised. Then they both lowered their heads and remained silent.

"Youthful and inexperienced, yet interesting." The princess turned to look at the two of them.

"Youth, it never returns." Oda Hideyoshi crossed his arms, shook his head, and sighed.

"The desire to reproduce...the essence of humanity." The Father of Puppetry put his hands in his trench coat pockets, uttering hoarse words beneath the bandages.

Esther yawned repeatedly, her blood-red eyes almost completely obscured by her black hair.

Wearing a Russian military uniform, Tsukumo rolled his eyes.

"Alright, let's go, you two lovebirds." Ruri Urushihara said with a smile, "I really envy you two. Going on a mission is like a honeymoon. How about our little sister Jiujiu finds a boyfriend too? I think Garfield would be nice. You two, a little loli and a little boy, would make a perfect pair."

After she finished speaking, she glanced at Garfield, the "Overloader," and then at Tsukumo, the "Gun Girl."

Garfield turned up the collar of his black sweater and silently gave her the middle finger.

"You Japanese people just love to chatter, just like Oda Hideaki," Tsukumo said dismissively, turning to walk towards the elevator, her pink twin tails bobbing up and down.

"I'm an old man, and old people tend to become a bit more talkative... You'll get used to it." Oda Hideaki shook his head, saying this with a self-deprecating smile, as he got up and walked towards the elevator.

Esther approached the elevator and yawned. "Old man? Oda kid, when I was already a Cataclysmic Level Ability User, you probably weren't even born yet. You'd better not call yourself an 'old man' in front of me."

"makes sense."

Oda Hideaki did not argue, but simply crossed his arms and tucked them into the sleeves of his kimono, silently waiting for the elevator to descend.

To outsiders, the scene was particularly bizarre: a little girl in a gothic dress was lecturing an old man in a black kimono, and the latter hadn't even said a word in response.

Shortly after, the three of them entered the elevator car together, and the elevator doors closed and went up.

"You guys should get going too." Chen Qian looked up and glanced at the remaining people. "The plane takes off in half an hour, so there's not much time to prepare."

"Can I dissect the Light-Eating Bees I caught?" Karina, who had been intently staring at the photos of the Light-Eating Bees, finally looked up, adjusted her goggles, and gave an excited smile.

“Whatever,” Chen Qian said. “Even if it’s the queen bee and the rooster bee, it’s the same?” Karina put her hands in the pockets of her white coat.

"Just take care of them after you're done playing," Commander Chen Qian said calmly. "The higher-ups only have one requirement: wipe out all the Light-Eating Bees."

"Roger that, sir." Karina playfully raised her right hand in a military salute, her blonde hair swaying slightly. Then she rose from her chair and walked impatiently toward the elevator, her steps as light as a little girl who had found a toy.

"Big sister, it's one thing for you to dissect those superhumans before, but what's so fun about bee corpses? It's disgusting," Garfield said irritably, getting up and walking towards the elevator.

“After all, he’s a real scientist,” Ruri Urushihara said as she walked over, “unlike you, a little brat who only knows how to build Gundams.”

"Who's the brat?" Garfield asked coldly.

"You," Ruri Urushihara smirked, "besides that flat-chested, childlike, emotionless girl and you, are there any other little brats left here?"

After saying that, she glanced at Yuriel. Unfortunately, the other woman ignored her sarcasm.

Karina stared intently at the photo of the Light-Eating Bee, humming a tune, her fingers slightly curled. She seemed completely absorbed in it, oblivious to the voices of the two people beside her.

The elevator doors opened, and the three entered. Only Yu Ruier, Gu Qiye, the princess, and the father of the puppet remained in the conference room, and the air suddenly became quiet.

Gu Qiye remained silent, constantly observing the Father of the Puppet from the corner of his eye.

“Let’s go.” Yu Ruier put away her tablet and said to Gu Qiye beside her.

"You've always been the driver, how about I give you a ride this time?" Gu Qiye thought for a moment and then suddenly asked.

"Have you ever driven one?" Yuriel turned to look at him.

"No." Gu Qiye shook her head.

“That makes sense. I looked at your information beforehand; you don’t have a driver’s license,” Yuriel said casually. “Busy guy.”

"Although I don't have a driver's license, my dad taught me how to drive in Hawaii."

"Don't think I haven't watched 'Detective Conan'."

The two chatted as they got up from the table, took the elevator, and soon arrived at the parking garage on the second basement level, where they got into their car.

Gu Qiye observed the others through the car window; most of the members got into the car in an orderly manner.

Only the overloaded "Garfield" was still leaning against the pillar playing on his phone. A flash of blue light appeared in his eyes, and instantly a huge sports car was created in front of him. The sports car's metal shell changed color, disguising itself as a red Ferrari.

The car door opened automatically, Garfield sat in the driver's seat, put on sunglasses and a hat, and activated the autopilot mode. The bootleg Ferrari automatically drove forward and out of the garage.

"That little boy, his name is 'Garfield,' right?" Gu Qiye asked curiously, looking at Garfield.

“Yes, we usually call him ‘Garfield’,” Yuri said. “That’s the nickname that Ruri Urushihara gave him. Only he doesn’t accept it; everyone else calls him that.”

"What is Garfield's special ability?"

“I don’t know much about it, but it should be using stored metal parts, or even biological objects, to combine and generate corresponding creations,” Yuriel said. “He can build vehicles, trains, and even Gundams.”

"So, it's like a giant silver-swallowing machine?" Gu Qiye asked without hesitation.

"Who is Tun Yin? I don't know him."

Gu Qiye was stunned for a moment, then turned to look at her profile.

"Could it be that among the Chinese outcasts, I'm the only one you're paying attention to?" he asked.

Yuriel remained silent for a moment.

"I only care about you."

After saying that, she started the engine with the remote key, stepped on the gas, and the Maybach roared forward, driving out of the garage to greet the blazing New York midday sun.

The mission came so suddenly that most of the Rainbow Wing members, who were either on vacation or had just finished a mission, naturally had some complaints.

However, there was a reason for temporarily mobilizing the entire Rainbow Wings – the Light-Eating Bees have unlimited potential for evolution, and their elites will one day surpass the category of natural disasters.

Every decision made by the UN's top leadership tends to prioritize "avoiding mistakes" rather than "doing the best," so whenever there is a possibility of this, it must be nipped in the bud as soon as possible.

They understood that if the situation dragged on, it could escalate to an irreversible point; if it worsened further, the United Nations might have to ask the Exorcist Association for help, requesting that they send the world's leading exorcist organization, "Lake Hunters," to assist them.

That being said, the members of Rainbow Wing remained completely unfazed. In their eyes, unless they encountered an equal number of Cataclysmic enemies, deploying the entire force was an overreaction.

At that moment, a black Maybach was speeding down the streets of Manhattan, heading towards the private airport.

In the passenger seat, Gu Qiye took out his phone from his coat pocket, and a message notification popped up on Rainbow Wing's dedicated meeting software.

He opened the software, clicked into the file, and found the photo of the nameless island;
Scrolling further, I glanced at the red dot on the satellite map and determined the approximate coordinates of the island based on the latitude and longitude lines.

After memorizing the coordinates, he opened his phone's contacts, tapped on the contact named "Black Chrysalis," and sent the coordinates to him via text message.

[Gu Qiye: I've sent you the location of the Light-Eating Bees' headquarters. By August 15th, all members of Rainbow Wing will land on the island and wipe out the Light-Eating Bees in one fell swoop. This includes the four members of the Salvation Society.]

A short while later, a message popped up on the text message interface.

[Black Chrysalis: Understood. I'll pass this message on to your grandfather and that stupid cow.]

[Black Chrysalis: Then let's meet on the island and have a good, satisfying revenge, Mr. Kino. You're not alone.]

Please vote for me! There will be another update later.
