Chapter 180 Arrest Plan, Fake Death Plan

Chapter 180 Arrest Plan, Fake Death Plan (Seeking Monthly Tickets)
A searchlight illuminates the dim world, and the train demon rumbles forward, white waves of steam surging through the time tunnel.

At this moment, looking through the window of carriage number 7, the carriage was brightly lit, and two figures were talking face to face.

Ke Qirui nodded slightly, took a puff of smoke from his pipe, then looked up and asked Hei Yong:
"Mr. Black Chrysalis, before we begin discussing the traffic lights, I'd like to ask you about the origins of the 'disaster-level' figure you mentioned."

“Actually, I’m not very clear about it myself,” Black Chrysalis leaned against the carriage door, glancing at the night outside the window. “I haven’t figured out the origins or name of this organization yet, I only know they are dangerous.”

"So even Mr. Black Chrysalis has things he doesn't know?"

“That’s a bit of a joke, Miss Ke.” Black Chrysalis shrugged. “I’m not a god, how could I know everything?” He added in his mind: Destroying the world is something I can do, though.

“It’s not a god,” Su Zimai whispered, “it’s an insect.”

“It’s not the refrigerator demon,” Black Chrysalis covered his mouth and whispered, “it’s the ice-cold diaper demon.” He paused, “It looks like a refrigerator, but it’s just to hide the icy-cold diapers inside the freezer.”

Su Zimai frowned: "You!"

"No arguing allowed," Lin Zhengquan said in a deep voice, pressing down on Su Zimai's shoulder.

"It's because you always act like you know everything," Ke Qirui shrugged. "I subconsciously started to have expectations of you."

She thought for a moment and then said, "Can I understand that you don't want to reveal information about this organization in order to protect us?"

“Of course, I don’t mind if you think that way.” Black Chrysalis nodded.

“Okay, I won’t interfere anymore.” Ke Qirui nodded, paused for a moment, and then said, “Since they are so powerful, our objective is to take the traffic lights away before they arrive, right?”

“It’s great that you understood so quickly; it saved me a lot of trouble,” Black Chrysalis said. “To achieve this goal, I need the intelligence you have.”

Ke Qirui looked up at him and said, "Based on the clues left by Red Light during his last crime, we can determine that his next target is 'Yan Gui,' a second-tier exorcist belonging to the London gang 'Black Rabbit Gang.'"

She paused for a moment: "In other words, as long as we find Yan Gui in advance, set up an ambush nearby, and wait for him to come to us, we can take the opportunity to catch the wanted criminal 'Red Light'."

"I see. So how do we find this 'Swallow Ghost'?" Black Chrysalis asked.

“The Exorcists’ Association has planted one or two moles within the London gangs. One of these moles revealed that ‘Yan Gui’ will be making a deal with another gang member at an underground bar in Westminster on the morning of July 26th, but it’s not clear which bar it is yet,” Ke Qirui said slowly. “However, there are only three underground bars in Westminster, so it’s easy to find.”

Black Chrysalis thought for a moment: "By the time the train demon arrives in London, it should still be the night of July 25th there. Shall we get some sleep and start searching again tomorrow morning?"

"Correct."

"It certainly doesn't sound like a difficult task."

Ke Qirui, with a cigarette dangling from his lips, teased, "We thought so too at first, until you jumped in and suddenly said something like 'this incident involves a person of natural disaster level,' which made me consider whether to cancel this operation..."

“I refuse to discuss this topic. Miss Ke, I’m not someone who’s easily tricked into revealing information,” Black Chrysalis said calmly. “Why don’t we talk about the specific capabilities of traffic lights?”

Without looking up, Su Zimai said, "That guy's Sky Drive is a street lamp. When the street lamp turns red, enemies hit by it will be unable to move; when the street lamp turns green, enemies hit by it will be subjected to a stronger impact; when the street lamp turns yellow, every time he swings the street lamp, it will release a shock wave forward."

Black Chrysalis clapped: "Being able to speak so fluently is no easy feat, considering both your brain capacity and language organization skills. You deserve praise."

Su Zimai glared at him, hesitated, and seemed too lazy to argue with him anymore.

"That concludes our information exchange. May I ask about Mr. Chess Player?" Ke Qirui said with a smile, arms crossed.

Upon hearing the word "chess player," Su Zimai, Xu Sanyan, and Lin Zhengquan all looked up and stared at the black cocoon.

"If I may ask, Miss Ke, have you already fallen for him?" Hei Yong said. "You keep talking about Mr. Xia, it's hard not to suspect that you've secretly developed feelings for him at some point."

"It's hard to say. I would probably prefer someone of the opposite sex who is more flexible." Ke Qirui said noncommittally.

Black Chrysalis put one hand on her hip and thought to herself: Hey, if you knew that he was the darling of the Phantom Troupe and meowed at the mafia princess every day, would you not call him a "man who doesn't know how to adapt"?
He shrugged and said, "Undoubtedly, Mr. Chess Player is also interested in the red light issue. He's very likely to be in London."

Su Zimai's eyes flickered slightly.

"Are the White Raven Brigade members with him?" Ke Qirui asked.

“That’s natural,” Black Chrysalis said. “However, the troupe is currently disbanded, and there are only one or two members left with him. Don’t worry, given Mr. Chess’s personality, he would never put you in danger.”

He paused for a moment: "If he wants to investigate the traffic lights, he should act alone and temporarily distract the White Raven Brigade."

Ke Qirui was silent for a moment, then put the pipe in his mouth and said, "I understand."

"So, how long until we reach London?" Black Chrysalis asked casually.

"twenty minutes."

"That speed is truly astonishing."

Black Chrysalis crossed her arms and exclaimed in admiration, then turned to look out the window. The train demon was traveling through a bizarre and fantastical time tunnel.

"Then I'll go rest for a while," Ke Qirui said. "Call me if you need anything."

After saying that, she walked into the next carriage without looking back.

Xu Sanyan and Lin Zhengquan also left one after another. Before leaving, Lin Zhengquan glanced at Su Zimai and said, "Xiaomai, aren't you going to rest for a while?"

“No, I have something to talk to him about.” Su Zimai shook her head.

"Okay." Lin Zhengquan closed the door.

Only Hei Yong and Su Zimai remained in the carriage, their figures enveloped in dappled light and shadow.

"You can't hang yourself up like that, it looks like you're in a lot of pain," Su Zimai said sarcastically, looking at him.

"You even noticed that, Miss Iced Diaper Devil."

"If you call me that again, I'll kill you."

“Okay, Miss Su Zimai,” Hei Yong said as she flipped open the comic book.

"What comic are you reading? Can I have a look too?" Su Zimai asked.

"Isn't it better to read on your phone? Do you prefer reading printed books?" Black Chrysalis said.

“There’s no cell phone signal inside the train demon’s belly,” Su Zimai said. “Otherwise, would I be so bored as to borrow a book from you?” “Alright, then I’ll reluctantly lend it to you.” Hei Yong scratched his head in annoyance. “Be careful not to tear it. I borrowed it from the bookstore owner. Last night, a neurotic collaborator stuffed bombs into the book I borrowed, so I couldn’t return it. In the end, the owner gave me a sarcastic scolding.”

After saying that, he used the restraint straps to hand the book "Goodbye Erii" to Su Zimai.

Su Zimai hesitated for a moment, then reached out and took the comic book: "Thanks."

What is this comic about?

"A mother is terminally ill and about to die. The male protagonist makes a film to record her final moments, and then..."

"No spoilers."

"But you made me say it."

"You'll speak just because I tell you to?"

Black Pupa was silent for a moment: "Uh... let's talk about the function of diapers and how to wear them."

"I'm really curious, what kind of person are you under that mask?"

"What kind of person do you think I am?" Black Chrysalis asked, tilting her head.

Su Zimai looked down at the comic book and thought for a moment: "A brooding, eccentric middle-aged man in his thirties who has read a lot of books and still has a childlike heart?"

“‘Having read many books’ and ‘having a childlike heart’ are indeed true,” Hei Yong said.

"hehe."

“This comic is quite short; you should be able to finish it before you get off the train,” Black Chrysalis said, glancing at the carriage ahead. “By the way, did you tell the rest of the Ghost Train troupe?”

"tell what?"

"Your brother's identity."

Su Zimai was silent for a moment: "Not yet."

"Why?" Black Chrysalis said, "If I told them, it would probably surprise them greatly, wouldn't it?"

"I want to earn respect from others through my own abilities, not by being called 'Blue Arc's sister'," Su Zimai said softly.

“You are a serious and good child,” Black Chrysalis said.

The carriage swayed slightly, and a brief silence enveloped the two passengers.

“Mom,” Su Zimai suddenly said.

The black pupa was taken aback.

“I mean… this comic reminds me of my mother.” Su Zimai lowered her eyes, looking at the protagonist’s mother on the comic page. “If only she were still here.”

The black pupa remained silent for a moment.

“Actually, although you have a sharp tongue, you’re a really nice person,” Su Zimai said. “When I went back, I watched the video of your first appearance. If it weren’t for you, my silly brother might really have been handcuffed by Green Wings.”

She paused for a moment: "At first, I didn't know that Lan Hu was the older brother, and I was just watching it for fun... Now, looking back, I realize how dangerous it was. I feel like I'm suffocating. I don't even want to think about what would have happened if he had actually put on those handcuffs back then."

“He’s Blue Arc,” Black Chrysalis said. “Even if I hadn’t arrived by then, he would have finished off the enemy like a bolt of lightning, a perfect ending.”

"Really?" Su Zimai's gaze lingered on the pages of the book.

“That’s right.” Black Chrysalis nodded.

“You’re lying,” Su Zimai said. “Anyone can see that my brother was much slower back then…”

She paused, then asked softly, "Was he injured then? Was he seriously injured, yet he still forced himself to confront Greenwing and rescue the hostages?"

Black Chrysalis stared at her face in silence for a while, then shrugged and replied frankly, "Just as you guessed, your good brother had just finished a fight with the super criminal 'Ghost Bell' and hastily treated his potentially fatal wounds before heading to the central square to meet with Green Wing."

Su Zimai remained silent.

She lowered her head slightly, her eyes hidden by her bangs, and after a long while, she took a deep breath and murmured to herself:

"As expected... he really is that kind of stupid person."

“That’s why I said your family has an ascetic spirit.” Black Chrysalis shook her head. “It’s utterly foolish.”

After a long silence, Su Zimai whispered, "You can joke about me however you want from now on, I won't be angry with you anymore... because you saved my brother and me too."

"Stop, stop, stop! Why are you making it sound like I'm bullying a little girl? I'm not having any fun with this." Black Chrysalis hurriedly called for a halt. "Okay... don't make that face. I won't joke about the Diaper Demon with you anymore."

Su Zimai nodded: "If you need help in the future, I will definitely do my best to help you."

“Of course,” Black Chrysalis said, then suddenly narrowed her eyes. “Wait… your goal isn’t to trick me into saying ‘I won’t joke about diapers with you anymore,’ is it?”

“You never break your promise, you said it yourself!” Su Zimai smugly hummed twice, looking up at him with a sly smile on her lips as she spoke.

Black Chrysalis looked into her bright, shining eyes, then shook her head after a moment: "I'm really impressed by you, but I never break my promise."

He covered his forehead and muttered to himself, "Could this be... the last diaper? Goodbye, all you diaper warriors."

"We made a deal, if you joke about this again, I'll bite you to death!"

"of course."

"Here's the comic back. Actually, I don't understand it. I'm going to sleep." Su Zimai shoved "Goodbye Eri" back into his hands.

Black Chrysalis took the comic book, then waved to her with the restraints, watching her figure disappear at the end of the next carriage.

"Don't die before me, little sister..." he thought. "I'd like to die in front of you guys for fun. If your whole family dies before me, what's the point of my fake death plan?"
